U razmaku od samo 24 sata na raskrižju ulica Domovinskog rata i Hrvatske mornarice, pokraj zgrade naše medijske kuće, ponovno su se dogodile dvije prometne nesreće, na svu sreću bez smrtnih posljedica ili teže ozlijeđenih.
Međutim, nastala materijalna šteta na vozilima koja su sudjelovala u incidentima je velika. To sjecište vrlo frekventnih gradskih prometnica kojim dnevno zna proći i više od 60 tisuća vozila nerijetko je poprište nesreća, od kojih su neke u prošlosti znale biti i smrtonosne za sudionike u prometu ili, u pravilu, nevine pješake koji su strpljivo čekali na svoj red za prelazak preko "zebre".
Iako ovogodišnje statistike nisu previše "crne", svi ti sudari su vrlo uočljivi upravo zbog činjenice što se križanje nalazi u "srcu grada" i jer je promet na njemu zaista gust.
Prema podacima koje smo dobili iz Policijske uprave, od početka godine do proteklog utorka na toj se lokaciji dogodilo "samo" osam nesreća. Međutim, sve su bile itekako vidljive brojnim prolaznicima i ostalim sudionicima u prometu, jer njima u pravilu prethodi sumanuta brzina onih koji uz pomoć žestokog stiskanja papučice gasa žele proći raskrižje prije paljenja crvenog svjetla na semaforu.
O postavljanju nekakvih uspornika koji bi "prikočili" razne nailazeće "bolide" i motocikle koje njihovi vlasnici voze nepropisnom i suludom brzinom za gradske uvjete, nije se ni razmišljalo budući da u pojasu svakog raskrižja, pa tako i ovoga mora biti osigurana sigurnost i protočnost prometa, što postavljanjem umjetnih izbočina ne bi bilo moguće. Isto tako, u "igri" nije ni možebitni veliki kružni tok, dok je gradnja podvožnjaka za pojedini smjer, primjerice "spuštanje" Ulice Domovinskog rata ili smjera Hrvatske mornarice-Slobode, još uvijek "viša matematika" za splitsku infrastrukturnu politiku.
Međutim, prema riječima Krešimira Budiše, savjetnika gradonačelnika Andre Krstulovića Opare za europske projekte, Banovina će u roku od idućih mjesec dana javnosti predstaviti projekt Integriranog transportnog sustava (ITS) na kojemu se radi već dvije godine.
- Radi se o jednom od zasigurno najnaprednijih sustava upravljanja prometa u Europi, a slobodan sam utvrditi da takav model ne postoji nigdje u jugoistočnoj Europi. Taj projekt se preko Ministarstva prometa kandidira za europske fondove iz kojih bi, ako bude sreće i ako bi se sve kretalo u pozitivnom smjeru za nas, trebala doći sredstva za ostvarivanje plana - ističe Budiša.
- Mišljenja sam da na to "nesretno križanje" trebamo odmah postaviti privremene kamere koje bi preventivno djelovale na sve vozače i uz pomoć kojih bismo koliko-toliko mogli pratiti promet. Naravno, problem odvijanja i sigurnosti prometa na svim frekventnijim raskrižjima u gradu potrebno riješiti na najkvalitetniji mogući način, kako bi svi sudionici bili sigurni, a to ćemo, nadam se uspjeti s projektom ITS-a - dodaje poteštatov savjetnik.
Istovremeno su iz Policijske uprave uputili inicijativu Gradu kako bi na pet-šest "najgorih" raskrižja trebalo postaviti kamere, jer je očito da se problem brze, odnosno sulude vožnje po ulicama ne može nikako drugačije riješiti, već jedino preko "očiju velikog brata", koji bi preventivno, ali i posljedično nadzirao prekršitelje.
Doduše, takve najave, zasad nerealizirane, već smo čuli i prije nešto više od godinu dana, kada su se na križanju Vukovarske i Dubrovačke ulice u kratkom vremenu dogodila dva sudara, pri čemu je u prvom život izgubila mlada pješakinja, a u drugom je samo pukom srećom spašena grupica umirovljenika koji su čekali na prelazak "zebre".

U razmaku od samo 24 sata na raskrižju ulica Domovinskog rata i Hrvatske mornarice, pokraj zgrade naše medijske kuće, ponovno su se dogodile dvije prometne nesreće, na svu sreću bez smrtnih posljedica ili teže ozlijeđenih.
Međutim, nastala materijalna šteta na vozilima koja su sudjelovala u incidentima je velika. To sjecište vrlo frekventnih gradskih prometnica kojim dnevno zna proći i više od 60 tisuća vozila nerijetko je poprište nesreća, od kojih su neke u prošlosti znale biti i smrtonosne za sudionike u prometu ili, u pravilu, nevine pješake koji su strpljivo čekali na svoj red za prelazak preko "zebre".
Iako ovogodišnje statistike nisu previše "crne", svi ti sudari su vrlo uočljivi upravo zbog činjenice što se križanje nalazi u "srcu grada" i jer je promet na njemu zaista gust.
Prema podacima koje smo dobili iz Policijske uprave, od početka godine do proteklog utorka na toj se lokaciji dogodilo "samo" osam nesreća. Međutim, sve su bile itekako vidljive brojnim prolaznicima i ostalim sudionicima u prometu, jer njima u pravilu prethodi sumanuta brzina onih koji uz pomoć žestokog stiskanja papučice gasa žele proći raskrižje prije paljenja crvenog svjetla na semaforu.
O postavljanju nekakvih uspornika koji bi "prikočili" razne nailazeće "bolide" i motocikle koje njihovi vlasnici voze nepropisnom i suludom brzinom za gradske uvjete, nije se ni razmišljalo budući da u pojasu svakog raskrižja, pa tako i ovoga mora biti osigurana sigurnost i protočnost prometa, što postavljanjem umjetnih izbočina ne bi bilo moguće. Isto tako, u "igri" nije ni možebitni veliki kružni tok, dok je gradnja podvožnjaka za pojedini smjer, primjerice "spuštanje" Ulice Domovinskog rata ili smjera Hrvatske mornarice-Slobode, još uvijek "viša matematika" za splitsku infrastrukturnu politiku.
Međutim, prema riječima Krešimira Budiše, savjetnika gradonačelnika Andre Krstulovića Opare za europske projekte, Banovina će u roku od idućih mjesec dana javnosti predstaviti projekt Integriranog transportnog sustava (ITS) na kojemu se radi već dvije godine.
- Radi se o jednom od zasigurno najnaprednijih sustava upravljanja prometa u Europi, a slobodan sam utvrditi da takav model ne postoji nigdje u jugoistočnoj Europi. Taj projekt se preko Ministarstva prometa kandidira za europske fondove iz kojih bi, ako bude sreće i ako bi se sve kretalo u pozitivnom smjeru za nas, trebala doći sredstva za ostvarivanje plana - ističe Budiša.
- Mišljenja sam da na to "nesretno križanje" trebamo odmah postaviti privremene kamere koje bi preventivno djelovale na sve vozače i uz pomoć kojih bismo koliko-toliko mogli pratiti promet. Naravno, problem odvijanja i sigurnosti prometa na svim frekventnijim raskrižjima u gradu potrebno riješiti na najkvalitetniji mogući način, kako bi svi sudionici bili sigurni, a to ćemo, nadam se uspjeti s projektom ITS-a - dodaje poteštatov savjetnik.
Istovremeno su iz Policijske uprave uputili inicijativu Gradu kako bi na pet-šest "najgorih" raskrižja trebalo postaviti kamere, jer je očito da se problem brze, odnosno sulude vožnje po ulicama ne može nikako drugačije riješiti, već jedino preko "očiju velikog brata", koji bi preventivno, ali i posljedično nadzirao prekršitelje.
Doduše, takve najave, zasad nerealizirane, već smo čuli i prije nešto više od godinu dana, kada su se na križanju Vukovarske i Dubrovačke ulice u kratkom vremenu dogodila dva sudara, pri čemu je u prvom život izgubila mlada pješakinja, a u drugom je samo pukom srećom spašena grupica umirovljenika koji su čekali na prelazak "zebre".
