U nevjerojatnom ovotjednom sretnom slučaju iz Zagreba pri izlijetanju obijesnog vozača dvoje pješaka prošlo je samo s lakšim ozljedama.
Desetak dana prije toga na križanju Mažuranićeve ulice i Ulice Slobode u Splitu u sudaru koji je izazvao pijani mladić, također u bijegu s mjesta prometne nezgode, teže su stradali djed i dvogodišnja unuka.
Ta dva slučaja, da ne spominjemo tešku nesreću prije dvije godine na križanju Dubrovačke i Vukovarske ulice u Splitu kada je poginula 20-godišnja djevojka, pokazao je da pješaci ni na trotoaru nisu sigurni.
Ne vrijedi više ona rečenica iz knjige Iljfa i Petrova da pješake treba voljeti.
Po gradu se vozi sve brže i objesnije, izlijeće se vani, asfalt i trotoari nisu odvojeni ogradama, a ako pješake od izletjelih obijesnih vozača spase parkirani automobili, kao u ponedjeljak u Dubravi, onda će im se napisati kazna zbog nepropisnog parkiranja.
Srećom, pješaci nisu glupi (jer da jesu ne bi ni opstali do danas u asfaltnoj džungli) i shvatili su poruku. Naime, primijetili smo da već godinu-dvije sve više pješaka, naročito pješakinja, ne baš opušteno hoda lijevom stranom trotoara stvarajući što veći razmak između sebe i kolnika.
Dok nije zaredalo s opasnim, smrtonosnim izlijetanjima s ceste, moglo se pomisliti da je grad pun turistkinja ili povratnica iz zemalja Commonwealtha. Kao da su, vrativši se iz Novog Zelanda, Australije ili Kanade, prenijeli svoje navike hodanja vanjskom stranom trotoara.

Ipak, turista i povratnika ima puno manje nego onih kojima je svejedno kojom stranom trotoara idu, kao i onih koji se osjećaju sigurnije što dalje od razuzdane oktanske gomile, obijesne mladeži i stareži.
Do jučer djecu smo učili da hodaju vozilima u lice da se mogu izmaknuti, sada ih učimo da hodaju bez slušalica na ušima, a uskoro ćemo ih učiti da hodaju suprotnom stranom trotoara što više metara daleko od autostrade, da se lakše izmaknu ili bace u džbunje.
Ali, u ovoj borbi pješaka za svoje mjesto nad asfaltom, kojim se sada u Splitu pokrivaju i pločnici, pitanje je tko će uopće htjeti ići bliže cesti? Najvjerojatnije će i pješački promet postati dvosmjeran. Jedni pješaci jednom, drugi suprotnom stranom pločnika, oboje po vanjskim stranama.

I tako sve dok se ležećim ili uspravnim policajcima, odgojem ili videonadzorom, ne smanji obijesnost na cestama ili dok odgovorni čvrstim ogradama ne odijele pješake i vozače.
Budući da je malo tko usvojio rečenicu Iljfa i Petrova da pješake treba voljeti, pješaci su počeli voljeti sami sebe. Pa ako ne mogu uvijek hodati sunčanom stranom ulice, mogu sigurnijom.

U nevjerojatnom ovotjednom sretnom slučaju iz Zagreba pri izlijetanju obijesnog vozača dvoje pješaka prošlo je samo s lakšim ozljedama.
Desetak dana prije toga na križanju Mažuranićeve ulice i Ulice Slobode u Splitu u sudaru koji je izazvao pijani mladić, također u bijegu s mjesta prometne nezgode, teže su stradali djed i dvogodišnja unuka.
Ta dva slučaja, da ne spominjemo tešku nesreću prije dvije godine na križanju Dubrovačke i Vukovarske ulice u Splitu kada je poginula 20-godišnja djevojka, pokazao je da pješaci ni na trotoaru nisu sigurni.
Ne vrijedi više ona rečenica iz knjige Iljfa i Petrova da pješake treba voljeti.
Po gradu se vozi sve brže i objesnije, izlijeće se vani, asfalt i trotoari nisu odvojeni ogradama, a ako pješake od izletjelih obijesnih vozača spase parkirani automobili, kao u ponedjeljak u Dubravi, onda će im se napisati kazna zbog nepropisnog parkiranja.
Srećom, pješaci nisu glupi (jer da jesu ne bi ni opstali do danas u asfaltnoj džungli) i shvatili su poruku. Naime, primijetili smo da već godinu-dvije sve više pješaka, naročito pješakinja, ne baš opušteno hoda lijevom stranom trotoara stvarajući što veći razmak između sebe i kolnika.
Dok nije zaredalo s opasnim, smrtonosnim izlijetanjima s ceste, moglo se pomisliti da je grad pun turistkinja ili povratnica iz zemalja Commonwealtha. Kao da su, vrativši se iz Novog Zelanda, Australije ili Kanade, prenijeli svoje navike hodanja vanjskom stranom trotoara.

Ipak, turista i povratnika ima puno manje nego onih kojima je svejedno kojom stranom trotoara idu, kao i onih koji se osjećaju sigurnije što dalje od razuzdane oktanske gomile, obijesne mladeži i stareži.
Do jučer djecu smo učili da hodaju vozilima u lice da se mogu izmaknuti, sada ih učimo da hodaju bez slušalica na ušima, a uskoro ćemo ih učiti da hodaju suprotnom stranom trotoara što više metara daleko od autostrade, da se lakše izmaknu ili bace u džbunje.
Ali, u ovoj borbi pješaka za svoje mjesto nad asfaltom, kojim se sada u Splitu pokrivaju i pločnici, pitanje je tko će uopće htjeti ići bliže cesti? Najvjerojatnije će i pješački promet postati dvosmjeran. Jedni pješaci jednom, drugi suprotnom stranom pločnika, oboje po vanjskim stranama.

I tako sve dok se ležećim ili uspravnim policajcima, odgojem ili videonadzorom, ne smanji obijesnost na cestama ili dok odgovorni čvrstim ogradama ne odijele pješake i vozače.
Budući da je malo tko usvojio rečenicu Iljfa i Petrova da pješake treba voljeti, pješaci su počeli voljeti sami sebe. Pa ako ne mogu uvijek hodati sunčanom stranom ulice, mogu sigurnijom.
