Jedan dragi prijatelj svojedobno mi se povjerio:

- Moja ćer je ka pčelica.

- Biće mala puno vridna? – ganut sam ga upitao.

- Ma kakvi, samo zuji okolo! – s gorčinom mi je objasnio.

Tako nekako treba gledati i na Ivicu Puljka. Njemu bi na vizitki ispod imena i titule poteštata trebao stajati onaj uznemirujući slogan "puno zuji, malo meda daje". U redu, priznajem, pitanje količine slatkog i gustog soka što ga pčele tvore od nektara koji skupljaju na cvjetovima - dakle, meda - otvoreno je različitim mišljenjima i interpretacijama, ali zato oko učestalosti zujanja ne može biti nikakve polemike.

U prvih pet mjeseci nakon povratka na gradonačelnički položaj Puljak je proveo 26 dana na putovanjima. U sljedećoj, dakle, ovoj godini nastavio je s praksom gutanja kilometara, pa je tako – da spomenemo samo inozemne destinacije - pohodio Grčku, Njemačku, Luksemburg, Južnu Koreju, SAD, a sredinom listopada odlazi u Australiju, u grad prijatelj Splita, koji nam je tako srcu blizak da za njega nismo nikad čuli. Zove se Clockburn i dio je metropolitanskog područja Pertha.

Tamo je, vjerojatno, lijepo i dobro se živi, samo je veliko pitanje kakve veze prosperitet toga grada može imati s nama, i na kojemu to polju mogu surađivati mali Split i još malešniji Clockburn, između kojih je 14 tisuća kilometara, pretežno oceana. Nimalo ne sumnjam, da ga je pitati, Puljak bi iz rukava izvukao pregršt prigodnih projekata na kojima bismo mogli raditi zajedno s prijateljima iz Australije.

Ljudi s viškom fantazije sve mogu, njima ni nebo nije granica, koliko sutra kolonizirali bi Mars. No spustimo li se s visina neukrotive imaginacije do deprimirajućeg prizemlja prakse, shvatit ćemo neizbježno: da su sve eventualne projektne žvake samo to – žvake. Zašto će Puljak otići down under? Zato što može. Tko mu brani?

Zašto je sedam dana proveo u Americi? Službeno, tamo je boravio na poziv i trošak jedne njemačke zaklade koja ga je podučavala o modalitetima borbe protiv korupcije. Nimalo ne sumnjam kako postoje ozbiljna znanja i tehnike koje bi trebali savladati svi koji se bave poslom suzbijanja korupcije, no to nije u opisu radnoga mjesta nijednog gradonačelnika na svijetu.

Postoje neke druge osobe i institucije koje se bave utjerivanjem zakona i pravde. Puljku je, dakle, radionica poslužila tek kao izlika za malo zujanja. Građanima Splita slaba je utjeha da je troškove njegova putovanja i boravka snosila njemačka zaklada, zato što mi plaćamo njegovo vrijeme, a on se sedam dana, umjesto nagomilanim škovacama i drugim komunalnim problemima, bavio rafiniranim svjetskim strategijama borbe protiv korupcije.

Zašto tamo nije poslao nekog gradskog činovnika koji se operativno, na dnevnoj bazi može baviti tim poslom, recimo, Maju Đerek? Ah da, nju nije mogao poslati jer ju je suspendirao.

Ivica Puljak dinamično je čeljade, on zna sve o velikom hadronskom sudaraču i život doživljava kao kinetički spektakl. Njega, rekla bi Jasna Zlokić, ne drži mjesto, i to je okej. Odnosno, bilo je okej sve dok nije izabrao četiri godine sjediti u fotelji prvog čovjeka grada Splita.

Naglašavam: sjediti, a ne zujati, raditi, a ne pohađati radionice, doprinositi svome gradu, a ne prikupljati besplatne milje.

Jedan dragi prijatelj svojedobno mi se povjerio:

- Moja ćer je ka pčelica.

- Biće mala puno vridna? – ganut sam ga upitao.

- Ma kakvi, samo zuji okolo! – s gorčinom mi je objasnio.

Tako nekako treba gledati i na Ivicu Puljka. Njemu bi na vizitki ispod imena i titule poteštata trebao stajati onaj uznemirujući slogan "puno zuji, malo meda daje". U redu, priznajem, pitanje količine slatkog i gustog soka što ga pčele tvore od nektara koji skupljaju na cvjetovima - dakle, meda - otvoreno je različitim mišljenjima i interpretacijama, ali zato oko učestalosti zujanja ne može biti nikakve polemike.

U prvih pet mjeseci nakon povratka na gradonačelnički položaj Puljak je proveo 26 dana na putovanjima. U sljedećoj, dakle, ovoj godini nastavio je s praksom gutanja kilometara, pa je tako – da spomenemo samo inozemne destinacije - pohodio Grčku, Njemačku, Luksemburg, Južnu Koreju, SAD, a sredinom listopada odlazi u Australiju, u grad prijatelj Splita, koji nam je tako srcu blizak da za njega nismo nikad čuli. Zove se Clockburn i dio je metropolitanskog područja Pertha.

Tamo je, vjerojatno, lijepo i dobro se živi, samo je veliko pitanje kakve veze prosperitet toga grada može imati s nama, i na kojemu to polju mogu surađivati mali Split i još malešniji Clockburn, između kojih je 14 tisuća kilometara, pretežno oceana. Nimalo ne sumnjam, da ga je pitati, Puljak bi iz rukava izvukao pregršt prigodnih projekata na kojima bismo mogli raditi zajedno s prijateljima iz Australije.

Ljudi s viškom fantazije sve mogu, njima ni nebo nije granica, koliko sutra kolonizirali bi Mars. No spustimo li se s visina neukrotive imaginacije do deprimirajućeg prizemlja prakse, shvatit ćemo neizbježno: da su sve eventualne projektne žvake samo to – žvake. Zašto će Puljak otići down under? Zato što može. Tko mu brani?

Zašto je sedam dana proveo u Americi? Službeno, tamo je boravio na poziv i trošak jedne njemačke zaklade koja ga je podučavala o modalitetima borbe protiv korupcije. Nimalo ne sumnjam kako postoje ozbiljna znanja i tehnike koje bi trebali savladati svi koji se bave poslom suzbijanja korupcije, no to nije u opisu radnoga mjesta nijednog gradonačelnika na svijetu.

Postoje neke druge osobe i institucije koje se bave utjerivanjem zakona i pravde. Puljku je, dakle, radionica poslužila tek kao izlika za malo zujanja. Građanima Splita slaba je utjeha da je troškove njegova putovanja i boravka snosila njemačka zaklada, zato što mi plaćamo njegovo vrijeme, a on se sedam dana, umjesto nagomilanim škovacama i drugim komunalnim problemima, bavio rafiniranim svjetskim strategijama borbe protiv korupcije.

Zašto tamo nije poslao nekog gradskog činovnika koji se operativno, na dnevnoj bazi može baviti tim poslom, recimo, Maju Đerek? Ah da, nju nije mogao poslati jer ju je suspendirao.

Ivica Puljak dinamično je čeljade, on zna sve o velikom hadronskom sudaraču i život doživljava kao kinetički spektakl. Njega, rekla bi Jasna Zlokić, ne drži mjesto, i to je okej. Odnosno, bilo je okej sve dok nije izabrao četiri godine sjediti u fotelji prvog čovjeka grada Splita.

Naglašavam: sjediti, a ne zujati, raditi, a ne pohađati radionice, doprinositi svome gradu, a ne prikupljati besplatne milje.
