Premda kulturna javnost Splita očekuje da se riješi pitanje knjižare "Morpurgo" na Pjaci, osnovane 1860. i zatvorene 2017., kad ju je Marina Wallner prodala Željku Katiću, čini se da okončanje toga problema još nije na vidiku. Vladina odluka o zamjeni "Morpurga" za državni prostor iz 2020. godine nikad nije provedena, Ministarstvo kulture proglasilo je knjižaru gospodarsko-kulturno značajnom za Republiku Hrvatsku i zaštitilo joj namjenu.

Katiću se tri puta nudio zamjenski prostor, što državni, što gradski – službeno smo doznali da se u prvom navratu radilo o "Brodomerkuru" u Marmontovoj, a neslužbeno i o "Bobisu" u istoj ulici, dok se o trećem prostoru šuti – uz Katićevu nadoplatu razlike, no do zamjene nije došlo.
Poslali smo Gradu upit o rezultatima pregovora, na što nam je odgovorio Antonio Kuzmanić, zamjenik gradonačelnika; manje ono što smo pitali i više ono što nismo.

– Ne vode se nikakvi pregovori, već smo po zahtjevu Željka Katića održali tri sastanka, gdje smo dotičnog primili i saslušali po pitanju problematike radova koje je Grad Split izveo u njegovu poslovnom prostoru na način da je dotični omogućio izvođenje istih predavajući ključeve poslovnog prostora predstavnicima Grada, iz nama nepoznatih razloga.
Nažalost, ni nakon medijskih napisa tadašnji gradonačelnik Andro Krstulović Opara nije se oglasio i objasnio na koji način je došlo do investicije javnim novcem u privatni prostor, kao ni je li radove izvodio uz suglasnost vlasnika. Nadamo se da će institucije reagirati i rasvijetliti ovaj slučaj – navodi Kuzmanić.
Na pitanje o prostorima koje su nudili Katiću, odgovorio je:
– Vaše pitanje sadrži neistinu jer nikakvu zamjenu nismo nudili, stoga možemo samo ponoviti da zakonski Grad Split ne može vršiti zamjenu poslovnih prostora – navodi, premda je nejasno kako to pitanje može "sadržavati neistinu".
Na upit jesu li sposobni riješiti ovu "krizu prostora", Kuzmanić nastavlja:
– Za razliku od prethodnih vlasti, nismo sposobni raditi protuzakonite poteze po pitanju knjižare "Morpurgo". Ono što zakonski smijemo, ukoliko je poduzetnik zainteresiran, jest kupiti prostor po cijeni koju procijeni sudski vještak. Sve drugo su ili bajke ili pokušaji protuzakonitog pogodovanja poduzetniku.
Zazvali smo i poduzetnika Željka Katića, s otprilike istim pitanjima, pa nam je odgovorio kako je sastanak održan na traženje Grada.
– Mislim da je pogrešno "Morpurga" svoditi samo na ekonomsku kategoriju, kao da se radi o bilo kakvom prostoru u centru grada. Uostalom, Ministarstvo kulture je donijelo ocjenu kako je riječ o prostoru iznimne povijesne, kulturne i gospodarske važnosti za grad Split.

Kao vlasnik ne mogu ući u prostor na Pjaci jer su ključevi u Banovini, povjerio sam im prostor na čuvanje 60 dana, a ključeve su zadržali 30 mjeseci, i još su dobili konzervatorsku zabranu radova.
Želim da se skine konzervatorska zabrana koja nije prouzročena nikakvom mojom aktivnošću, nego gradskom, kad su pituravali drveni izlog. Meni su, iskreno, svi oni jednaki, bio gradonačelnik ovaj ili onaj, mene politika ne zanima i ne želim da se prepucavaju preko mojih leđa.
Bio sam izrazito suradljiv, svaki prostor koji su nudili u zamjenu sam prihvatio i svaku eventualnu nadoplatu razlike sam prihvatio. Ali, evo, još rješenja nema – kaže Katić.

Katiću se tri puta nudio zamjenski prostor, što državni, što gradski – službeno smo doznali da se u prvom navratu radilo o "Brodomerkuru" u Marmontovoj, a neslužbeno i o "Bobisu" u istoj ulici, dok se o trećem prostoru šuti – uz Katićevu nadoplatu razlike, no do zamjene nije došlo.
Poslali smo Gradu upit o rezultatima pregovora, na što nam je odgovorio Antonio Kuzmanić, zamjenik gradonačelnika; manje ono što smo pitali i više ono što nismo.

– Ne vode se nikakvi pregovori, već smo po zahtjevu Željka Katića održali tri sastanka, gdje smo dotičnog primili i saslušali po pitanju problematike radova koje je Grad Split izveo u njegovu poslovnom prostoru na način da je dotični omogućio izvođenje istih predavajući ključeve poslovnog prostora predstavnicima Grada, iz nama nepoznatih razloga.
Nažalost, ni nakon medijskih napisa tadašnji gradonačelnik Andro Krstulović Opara nije se oglasio i objasnio na koji način je došlo do investicije javnim novcem u privatni prostor, kao ni je li radove izvodio uz suglasnost vlasnika. Nadamo se da će institucije reagirati i rasvijetliti ovaj slučaj – navodi Kuzmanić.
Na pitanje o prostorima koje su nudili Katiću, odgovorio je:
– Vaše pitanje sadrži neistinu jer nikakvu zamjenu nismo nudili, stoga možemo samo ponoviti da zakonski Grad Split ne može vršiti zamjenu poslovnih prostora – navodi, premda je nejasno kako to pitanje može "sadržavati neistinu".
Na upit jesu li sposobni riješiti ovu "krizu prostora", Kuzmanić nastavlja:
– Za razliku od prethodnih vlasti, nismo sposobni raditi protuzakonite poteze po pitanju knjižare "Morpurgo". Ono što zakonski smijemo, ukoliko je poduzetnik zainteresiran, jest kupiti prostor po cijeni koju procijeni sudski vještak. Sve drugo su ili bajke ili pokušaji protuzakonitog pogodovanja poduzetniku.
Zazvali smo i poduzetnika Željka Katića, s otprilike istim pitanjima, pa nam je odgovorio kako je sastanak održan na traženje Grada.
– Mislim da je pogrešno "Morpurga" svoditi samo na ekonomsku kategoriju, kao da se radi o bilo kakvom prostoru u centru grada. Uostalom, Ministarstvo kulture je donijelo ocjenu kako je riječ o prostoru iznimne povijesne, kulturne i gospodarske važnosti za grad Split.

Kao vlasnik ne mogu ući u prostor na Pjaci jer su ključevi u Banovini, povjerio sam im prostor na čuvanje 60 dana, a ključeve su zadržali 30 mjeseci, i još su dobili konzervatorsku zabranu radova.
Želim da se skine konzervatorska zabrana koja nije prouzročena nikakvom mojom aktivnošću, nego gradskom, kad su pituravali drveni izlog. Meni su, iskreno, svi oni jednaki, bio gradonačelnik ovaj ili onaj, mene politika ne zanima i ne želim da se prepucavaju preko mojih leđa.
Bio sam izrazito suradljiv, svaki prostor koji su nudili u zamjenu sam prihvatio i svaku eventualnu nadoplatu razlike sam prihvatio. Ali, evo, još rješenja nema – kaže Katić.
