Bliži se proljeće i topliji dani, koji su kao stvoreni za lagane i ukusne namirnice. Kokos je idealna voćka koju biste mogli dodati na vašu "shopping" listu sljedeći put kada se zaputite u obližnji supermarket.

Iako ime "kokosov orah" sugerira da je riječ o orašastom plodu, kokos je, zapravo, voćka. Ova namirnica tropskog porijekla uvelike se koristi u domaćinstvima diljem svijeta, kako za prehrambene i ljekovite svrhe, tako i za eksternu njegu kože i kose. Bilo da želite slatku ili slanu "kokosovu zdjelu", pinu coladu ili imate druge planove za korištenje njegovog bijelog "mesa" ili vode, svježi kokos bit će vaš novi uzdanik. Kako biste ga mogli koristiti potrebno ga je samo - pravilno otvoriti. 

Trud oko otvaranja kokosa isplati se čim isprobate njegov plod. Ipak, ako želite kokosovu vodu, mlijeko ili meso iz svježeg kokosa, a ne iz plastike, ova vještina nije teška za usvojiti. Ovom metodom ćete s lakoćom otvoriti kokos bez ičije pomoći. 

Kako biste imali uspjeha s kokosom, jako je važno prepoznati zreo i svjež komad. Kako biste to učinili, pri odabiru kokosa obratite pažnju na njegova vlakna. Što je kokos stariji, vlakna na njegovoj kori bit će suša. Potražite kokose čija je površina gotovo vlažna. Uz to, fokusirajte se i na njegovu težinu. Ako s obzirom na njegovu veličinu kokos izgleda lagano, vjerojatno je star i suh. Provjerite i postoje li na njegovoj površini pukotine - koje propuštaju zrak i kvare meso. I na kraju, prislonite kokosov orah uhu i dobro ga protresite. Unutar njega trebala bi biti obilna količina kokosove vode. 

Kada kući donesete svoj savršeni kokosov orah, vrijeme je da ga otvorite. Prvo s površine kokosa uklonite što više osušene kore. Zatim izađite van i pronađite komad betona, ciglu ili neku sličnu, tvrdu površinu. Obavezno sa sobom ponesite zdjelicu za sakupljanje vode, zdjelicu za meso te nož za rezanje i nož za maslac. Kada pronađete tvrdo mjesto čučnite, uhvatite orah čvrsto u ruke i počnite s njime raditi oštre udarce po tlu, oko njegovog "ekvatora". 

Nakon svakog udarca, malo okrenite kokos i udarite o tvrdu površinu drugim dijelom kore - ne želite razbiti kokos u sitne dijelove, već samo napuknuti ljusku dovoljno da je do kraja možete otvoriti nožem. Kada oštar zvuk pucketanja postane prigušen i tup - vrijeme je za sljedeći korak!

Pronađite pukotinu u vašem kokosu i u nju zabodite nož. Kokos stavite iznad zdjele koju ste ponijeli i okrećite nož u rupi kako biste iz njega iscijedili kokosovu vodu. Kada je iscijedite, bit će dovoljno još nekoliko udaraca kokosa o tvrdu podlogu i on će se prelomiti na pola. Nožem za maslac odvojite njegovo meso od ljuske.

Bliži se proljeće i topliji dani, koji su kao stvoreni za lagane i ukusne namirnice. Kokos je idealna voćka koju biste mogli dodati na vašu "shopping" listu sljedeći put kada se zaputite u obližnji supermarket.

Iako ime "kokosov orah" sugerira da je riječ o orašastom plodu, kokos je, zapravo, voćka. Ova namirnica tropskog porijekla uvelike se koristi u domaćinstvima diljem svijeta, kako za prehrambene i ljekovite svrhe, tako i za eksternu njegu kože i kose. Bilo da želite slatku ili slanu "kokosovu zdjelu", pinu coladu ili imate druge planove za korištenje njegovog bijelog "mesa" ili vode, svježi kokos bit će vaš novi uzdanik. Kako biste ga mogli koristiti potrebno ga je samo - pravilno otvoriti. 

Trud oko otvaranja kokosa isplati se čim isprobate njegov plod. Dok na određenim tržnicama u primjerice, Indiji, postoje štandovi posvećeni isključivo čišćenju i guljenju ove namirnice, nama taj luksuz nije ponuđen. Ipak, ako želite kokosovu vodu, mlijeko ili meso iz svježeg kokosa, a ne iz plastike, ova vještina nije teška za usvojiti. Ovom metodom ćete s lakoćom otvoriti kokos bez ičije pomoći. 

Kako biste imali uspjeha s kokosom, jako je važno prepoznati zreo i svjež komad. Kako biste to učinili, pri odabiru kokosa obratite pažnju na njegova vlakna. Što je kokos stariji, vlakna na njegovoj kori bit će suša. Potražite kokose čija je površina gotovo vlažna. Uz to, fokusirajte se i na njegovu težinu. Ako s obzirom na njegovu veličinu kokos izgleda lagano, vjerojatno je star i suh. Provjerite i postoje li na njegovoj površini pukotine - koje propuštaju zrak i kvare meso. I na kraju, prislonite kokosov orah uhu i dobro ga protresite. Unutar njega trebala bi biti obilna količina kokosove vode. 

Kada kući donesete svoj savršeni kokosov orah, vrijeme je da ga otvorite. Prvo s površine kokosa uklonite što više osušene kore. Zatim izađite van i pronađite komad betona, ciglu ili neku sličnu, tvrdu površinu. Obavezno sa sobom ponesite zdjelicu za sakupljanje vode, zdjelicu za meso te nož za rezanje i nož za maslac. Kada pronađete tvrdo mjesto čučnite, uhvatite orah čvrsto u ruke i počnite s njime raditi oštre udarce po tlu, oko njegovog "ekvatora". 

Nakon svakog udarca, malo okrenite kokos i udarite o tvrdu površinu drugim dijelom kore - ne želite razbiti kokos u sitne dijelove, već samo napuknuti ljusku dovoljno da je do kraja možete otvoriti nožem. Kada oštar zvuk pucketanja postane prigušen i tup - vrijeme je za sljedeći korak!

Pronađite pukotinu u vašem kokosu i u nju zabodite nož. Kokos stavite iznad zdjele koju ste ponijeli i okrećite nož u rupi kako biste iz njega iscijedili kokosovu vodu. Kada je iscijedite, bit će dovoljno još nekoliko udaraca kokosa o tvrdu podlogu i on će se prelomiti na pola. Nožem za maslac odvojite njegovo meso od ljuske.

Bliži se proljeće i topliji dani, koji su kao stvoreni za lagane i ukusne namirnice. Kokos je idealna voćka koju biste mogli dodati na vašu "shopping" listu sljedeći put kada se zaputite u obližnji supermarket.

Iako ime "kokosov orah" sugerira da je riječ o orašastom plodu, kokos je, zapravo, voćka. Ova namirnica tropskog porijekla uvelike se koristi u domaćinstvima diljem svijeta, kako za prehrambene i ljekovite svrhe, tako i za eksternu njegu kože i kose. Bilo da želite slatku ili slanu "kokosovu zdjelu", pinu coladu ili imate druge planove za korištenje njegovog bijelog "mesa" ili vode, svježi kokos bit će vaš novi uzdanik. Kako biste ga mogli koristiti potrebno ga je samo - pravilno otvoriti.
