Ovog je vikenda u Brelima prvi put održana manifestacija Brela Food & Wine u organizaciji TZ Brela, a među najzapaženijim izlagačima bila je Vedrana Vela Puharić koja je za posjetitelje pripremala blitvenjak čija receptura, kaže nam, datira još iz antike.
-To jelo je staro ko i soparnik, a ima ga na Hvaru i kod nas u Primorju. U Brelima su puno držali do toga, a svako misto je imalo svoju verziju blitvenjaka. Bogatije kuće su ga radile s medon, oravima i bajamima, a siromašnije s onin šta su imali. Neki danas u smjesu stavljaju i mladi sir, ali u našem kraju se sir nikad nije meća u blitvenjak. Ja dodan i kap ružolina zbog arome.
U Vedraninom vrtu začinskog bilja uspijeva sve osim kapara, a najponosnija je na "miris, miris kalopera"
- Mislin da većina ljudi nikad nije bila u prilici omirisat kaloper, a ja san ga dobila od Ratka Kovačevića iz Kotišine. Kao da su dvi-tri arome izmišane u njegovom mirisu. Rekla bih da je najsličniji kombinaciji između mente i limunske trave. Osim kalopera, imam i divlju krušku, oskorušu, koju san uspila spasit od bršljana, a tu su još i rogač, pinjol, neven, ružmarin, babin zubac, iris, perunike, ukratko nema čega nema. Sredstva za tretiranje biljaka ne koristim, služim se samo mašklinićen i vlastitin rukama.

Vedrana je sudjelovala i na Blitvijadi u Podgori prošle godine.
- Podgorska sorta blitve ima mesnatiji list i tanju stapku, a cilo misto je poznato po blitvi. Valja znat da blitva neće bit dobra tamo di nije dobra voda. Moja baba je čuvala sime od blitve na posebnome lancunu jer se sime uvik i čuvalo ko zlato. Posijala san malo te blitve u selu Puharići i nikla je metar ipo - zadovoljna je Vedrana.
Iako su mnoge biljke, poput "Višnje" ili "Jagode", dobila priznanja u ženskim imenima, "Blitva" još nije došla na red. Pored Antigone, Libera i Pobjede našlo bi se mjesta u Podgori i za Blitvu.

500 g blitve
100 g suhih smokava
100 g grožđica
100 ml maslinovog ulja
30 g šećera

korica limuna i naranče

Priprema:
Zamijesite tijesto od navedenih sastojaka. Podijelite ga na dva dijela i svaki razvaljajte do veličine roštjere u kojoj ćete peći blitvenjak.
Za nadjev suhe smokve namočite u vodi. Blitvu očistite, operite i narežite na rezance. Dodajte joj nasjeckane suhe smokve, grožđice, med, šećer i začine.

Ovog je vikenda u Brelima prvi put održana manifestacija Brela Food & Wine u organizaciji TZ Brela, a među najzapaženijim izlagačima bila je Vedrana Vela Puharić koja je za posjetitelje pripremala blitvenjak čija receptura, kaže nam, datira još iz antike.
-To jelo je staro ko i soparnik, a ima ga na Hvaru i kod nas u Primorju. U Brelima su puno držali do toga, a svako misto je imalo svoju verziju blitvenjaka. Bogatije kuće su ga radile s medon, oravima i bajamima, a siromašnije s onin šta su imali. Neki danas u smjesu stavljaju i mladi sir, ali u našem kraju se sir nikad nije meća u blitvenjak. Ja dodan i kap ružolina zbog arome.
U Vedraninom vrtu začinskog bilja uspijeva sve osim kapara, a najponosnija je na "miris, miris kalopera"
- Mislin da većina ljudi nikad nije bila u prilici omirisat kaloper, a ja san ga dobila od Ratka Kovačevića iz Kotišine. Kao da su dvi-tri arome izmišane u njegovom mirisu. Rekla bih da je najsličniji kombinaciji između mente i limunske trave. Osim kalopera, imam i divlju krušku, oskorušu, koju san uspila spasit od bršljana, a tu su još i rogač, pinjol, neven, ružmarin, babin zubac, iris, perunike, ukratko nema čega nema. Sredstva za tretiranje biljaka ne koristim, služim se samo mašklinićen i vlastitin rukama.

Vedrana je sudjelovala i na Blitvijadi u Podgori prošle godine.
- Podgorska sorta blitve ima mesnatiji list i tanju stapku, a cilo misto je poznato po blitvi. Valja znat da blitva neće bit dobra tamo di nije dobra voda. Moja baba je čuvala sime od blitve na posebnome lancunu jer se sime uvik i čuvalo ko zlato. Posijala san malo te blitve u selu Puharići i nikla je metar ipo - zadovoljna je Vedrana.
Iako su mnoge biljke, poput "Višnje" ili "Jagode", dobila priznanja u ženskim imenima, "Blitva" još nije došla na red. Pored Antigone, Libera i Pobjede našlo bi se mjesta u Podgori i za Blitvu.
Blitvenjak
Sastojci:

400 g brašna, pola mekog pola oštrog
2 žumanjka

Nadjev:
500 g blitve
100 g suhih smokava
100 g grožđica
100 ml maslinovog ulja
30 g šećera
med
korica limuna i naranče

Priprema:
Zamijesite tijesto od navedenih sastojaka. Podijelite ga na dva dijela i svaki razvaljajte do veličine roštjere u kojoj ćete peći blitvenjak.
Za nadjev suhe smokve namočite u vodi. Blitvu očistite, operite i narežite na rezance. Dodajte joj nasjeckane suhe smokve, grožđice, med, šećer i začine.
