Renault Megane općenito se smatra udobnim, dovoljno prostranim i štedljivim automobilom Golf-klase, koji je 1995. zamijenio model 19. Iskusni će vam mehaničari potvrditi da je to i najbolja serija Meganea, jer je imala najmanje ventila, elektronike i plastike.
Na test smo dobili 14-godišnjaka, upregnutog osnovnim benzincem snage 90 KS, što je dobro, jer je, uz normalnu vožnju i održavanje, gotovo neuništiv. Testni model na prvi pogled izgleda poput sportaša, a radi se o varci, jer se u formi kupea krije mehanika osnovnog Meganea (koji se nudio i sa 1.4 - 75 KS). Po istom se principu početkom 80-ih proizvodio Fuego, u sportaša prerušeni Renault 18, s osnovnim benzincem 1.4 - 64 KS.
Francuski kompakt, koji se u prvoj generaciji proizvodio kao hatchback, limuzina, karavan, kupe i monovolumen (Megane Scenic, predstavljen 1996. kao prvi kompaktni monovolumen, ubrzo je postao Scenic), pokazao se solidnim i kvalitetnim. Ipak, do 1997. bilo je problema s upravljačkom elektronikom, indukcijskim sklopom i elektroničkom blokadom paljenja (zaštita od krađe).
Kod benzinskih motora 1.6 do 1998. je bilo problema sa zupčastim remenom, koji je dimenzioniran s nedovoljno velikim faktorom sigurnosti, te pumpom goriva. Ako mjerenje kompresije pokaže dobre rezultate (to svakako treba provjeriti prije kupnje), ostalo je manji problem. Ali samo ako nakon kupnje izmijenite zupčasti remen, zajedno s napinjačem, pratećim valjkom te pumpom rashladne tekućine.
Preporučljivo je, preventivno, izmijeniti i pumpu goriva te lambda sondu, a po potrebi i očistiti brizgaljku. Testni je model u 14 godina prešao samo 132.000 km, no vršnjaci u pravilu imaju dvostruko veću kilometražu pa treba biti oprezan. Nakon detaljnog pregleda limarije treba provjeriti zazor u upravljačkome mehanizmu (zupčastoj letvi volana) i podvozju (amortizerima, ležajevima, kuglastim zglobovima i gumenim osloncima).
Stariji modeli Meganea, i većina starijih Renaulta, osjetljivi su na propusnost ulja iz motora i mjenjača. To treba provjeriti prilikom odabira rabljenoga i znajte - to je loš simptom, zbog velikog rizika da je motor radio i s manjkom ulja. Obratite pozornost i na stanje ručne kočnice i izbrazdanost diskova, jer se po tome može procijeniti kako je vožen i održavan auto koji namjeravate kupiti.

Osam ventila bolje nego 16
U paleti motora bila su dva 8-ventilca: 1.6 sa 90 KS i 2.0 sa 114 KS. Oba su podjednako preporučljiva, jer su izdržljiva i jednostavna za održavanje te su bolja opcija od dvolitrenog 16-ventilca, koji se nudio sa 150 i 179 KS, a zbog više dijelova i većeg opterećenja manje je pouzdan i skuplji za održavanje.
Izbjegavajte verzije 2.0 IDE (Injection Direct Essence) s direktnim ubrizgavanjem, uvedene 1999. i povučene 2000. zbog nepouzdanosti.

Renault Megane općenito se smatra udobnim, dovoljno prostranim i štedljivim automobilom Golf-klase, koji je 1995. zamijenio model 19. Iskusni će vam mehaničari potvrditi da je to i najbolja serija Meganea, jer je imala najmanje ventila, elektronike i plastike.
Na test smo dobili 14-godišnjaka, upregnutog osnovnim benzincem snage 90 KS, što je dobro, jer je, uz normalnu vožnju i održavanje, gotovo neuništiv. Testni model na prvi pogled izgleda poput sportaša, a radi se o varci, jer se u formi kupea krije mehanika osnovnog Meganea (koji se nudio i sa 1.4 - 75 KS). Po istom se principu početkom 80-ih proizvodio Fuego, u sportaša prerušeni Renault 18, s osnovnim benzincem 1.4 - 64 KS.
Francuski kompakt, koji se u prvoj generaciji proizvodio kao hatchback, limuzina, karavan, kupe i monovolumen (Megane Scenic, predstavljen 1996. kao prvi kompaktni monovolumen, ubrzo je postao Scenic), pokazao se solidnim i kvalitetnim. Ipak, do 1997. bilo je problema s upravljačkom elektronikom, indukcijskim sklopom i elektroničkom blokadom paljenja (zaštita od krađe).
Kod benzinskih motora 1.6 do 1998. je bilo problema sa zupčastim remenom, koji je dimenzioniran s nedovoljno velikim faktorom sigurnosti, te pumpom goriva. Ako mjerenje kompresije pokaže dobre rezultate (to svakako treba provjeriti prije kupnje), ostalo je manji problem. Ali samo ako nakon kupnje izmijenite zupčasti remen, zajedno s napinjačem, pratećim valjkom te pumpom rashladne tekućine.
Preporučljivo je, preventivno, izmijeniti i pumpu goriva te lambda sondu, a po potrebi i očistiti brizgaljku. Testni je model u 14 godina prešao samo 132.000 km, no vršnjaci u pravilu imaju dvostruko veću kilometražu pa treba biti oprezan. Nakon detaljnog pregleda limarije treba provjeriti zazor u upravljačkome mehanizmu (zupčastoj letvi volana) i podvozju (amortizerima, ležajevima, kuglastim zglobovima i gumenim osloncima).
Stariji modeli Meganea, i većina starijih Renaulta, osjetljivi su na propusnost ulja iz motora i mjenjača. To treba provjeriti prilikom odabira rabljenoga i znajte - to je loš simptom, zbog velikog rizika da je motor radio i s manjkom ulja. Obratite pozornost i na stanje ručne kočnice i izbrazdanost diskova, jer se po tome može procijeniti kako je vožen i održavan auto koji namjeravate kupiti.

Osam ventila bolje nego 16
U paleti motora bila su dva 8-ventilca: 1.6 sa 90 KS i 2.0 sa 114 KS. Oba su podjednako preporučljiva, jer su izdržljiva i jednostavna za održavanje te su bolja opcija od dvolitrenog 16-ventilca, koji se nudio sa 150 i 179 KS, a zbog više dijelova i većeg opterećenja manje je pouzdan i skuplji za održavanje.
Izbjegavajte verzije 2.0 IDE (Injection Direct Essence) s direktnim ubrizgavanjem, uvedene 1999. i povučene 2000. zbog nepouzdanosti.
