Glazbena legenda objavila je pjesmu "Where Are We Now" u obliku videa koji je moguće skinuti s interneta. Snimljena je u New Yorku, producent je Bowiev dugogodišnji suradnik Tony Visconti, a album "The Next Day" najavljen je za ožujak.

Bowie je zadnji album snimio 2003., a uživo je zadnji put nastupio 2006., od kada je rijetko viđen u javnosti. Njegovo online pojavljivanje u javnosti iskreno je iznenađenje, kazao je BBC-jev John Wilson. "On je pravi umjetnik koji ne izdaje albume zato što je vrijeme za novu ploču. On objavljuje kada ima nešto za reći", komentirao je.

"Where Are We Now" jednostavna je balada u kojoj Bowie žalobno pjeva uz pratnju klavirskog motiva koji se postupno razvija u crescendo. Pjesma uključuje nekoliko referenci na Berlin, gdje su Bowie i Visconti u 70-tim godinama prošloga stoljeća producirali izvanredno prihvaćenu "Berlinsku trilogiju" - albume "Low", "Heroes" i "Lodgers".

Pjesmu prati video koji je režirao multimedijalni umjetnik Tony Oursler a može se pogledati na Bowievoj web stranici.

David Bowie rođen je 8. siječnja 1947. u Brixtonu (jugoistočni London) kao David Robert Jones. Glazbeno je aktivan punih pet desetljeća, a pojavljivao se na i na filmu kao glumac.

Zanimanje publike prvi put je izazvao u srpnju 1969. kad je njegova pjesma "Space Oddity" ušla među prvih pet na ljestvici UK Singles Chart. Nakon trogodišnjega eksperimentiranja, pojavljuje se 1972. u liku androginog alter ega Ziggyja Stardusta s albumom "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars".

Slijedio je album "Young Americans" (1975.) s hit singlom "Fame", a 1977. izlazi album "Low", prvi dio "Berlinske trilogije" na kojoj tijekom slijedeće dvije godine surađuje i s Brianom Enom.

Osamdesetih vrh ljestvica doseže s pjesmama poput "Ashes to Ashes" (1980.), "Under Pressure" (1981.) u suradnji s grupom Queen i nizom hitova s albuma "Let's Dance" iz 1983.

Glazbena legenda objavila je pjesmu "Where Are We Now" u obliku videa koji je moguće skinuti s interneta. Snimljena je u New Yorku, producent je Bowiev dugogodišnji suradnik Tony Visconti, a album "The Next Day" najavljen je za ožujak.

Bowie je zadnji album snimio 2003., a uživo je zadnji put nastupio 2006., od kada je rijetko viđen u javnosti. Njegovo online pojavljivanje u javnosti iskreno je iznenađenje, kazao je BBC-jev John Wilson. "On je pravi umjetnik koji ne izdaje albume zato što je vrijeme za novu ploču. On objavljuje kada ima nešto za reći", komentirao je.

"Where Are We Now" jednostavna je balada u kojoj Bowie žalobno pjeva uz pratnju klavirskog motiva koji se postupno razvija u crescendo. Pjesma uključuje nekoliko referenci na Berlin, gdje su Bowie i Visconti u 70-tim godinama prošloga stoljeća producirali izvanredno prihvaćenu "Berlinsku trilogiju" - albume "Low", "Heroes" i "Lodgers".

Pjesmu prati video koji je režirao multimedijalni umjetnik Tony Oursler a može se pogledati na Bowievoj web stranici.

David Bowie rođen je 8. siječnja 1947. u Brixtonu (jugoistočni London) kao David Robert Jones. Glazbeno je aktivan punih pet desetljeća, a pojavljivao se na i na filmu kao glumac.

Zanimanje publike prvi put je izazvao u srpnju 1969. kad je njegova pjesma "Space Oddity" ušla među prvih pet na ljestvici UK Singles Chart. Nakon trogodišnjega eksperimentiranja, pojavljuje se 1972. u liku androginog alter ega Ziggyja Stardusta s albumom "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars".

Slijedio je album "Young Americans" (1975.) s hit singlom "Fame", a 1977. izlazi album "Low", prvi dio "Berlinske trilogije" na kojoj tijekom slijedeće dvije godine surađuje i s Brianom Enom.

Osamdesetih vrh ljestvica doseže s pjesmama poput "Ashes to Ashes" (1980.), "Under Pressure" (1981.) u suradnji s grupom Queen i nizom hitova s albuma "Let's Dance" iz 1983.
