U Brazilu su izvedene dvije "klitoroplastike" - korektivne operacije klitorisa, piše BBC.
Maria, jedna od operiranih pacijentica, ima 22 godine i za BBC je progovorila o operaciji kojoj je bila podvrgnuta.
Ova mlada žena ispričala je kako se medicinskom timu požalila na veličinu svog klitorisa, te da je na hormonskoj terapiji od prosinca 2021. godine.
Marijin spolni organ, koji je već opisala kao velik, povećavao bi se tijekom odnosa, stvarajući joj veliku nelagodu.
“Nakon prvog seksa, s 18 godina, primijetila sam da mi je klitoris jako natekao. I to mi je jako smetalo" - ispričala je.
Tada je pitala ginekologa postoji li mogućnost da smanji veličinu klitorisa.
Mariji je kasnije dijagnosticirana genetska bolest koja uzrokuje nenormalan rast ovog organa.
"Nije mi smetalo u svakodnevnom životu, ali tijekom spolnog odnosa bih to gledala i imala dojam da to nije normalno. Htjela sam ga smanjiti”, objasnila je Maria.
Dodala je kako njezin tadašnji seksualni partner nikada nije pokazao da mu to smeta, iako ju je savjetovao da potraži pomoć jer je bila nesretna zbog toga.
U Ceari, državi u kojoj je Maria živjela, nije bilo kirurga specijalista, pa je morala čekati dok stručnjak iz Sao Paula nije pristao prijeći gotovo 3000 kilometara kako bi obavio zahvat.
“Operacija je prošla jako dobro. Sada se osjećam kao potpuna žena, jer prije se nisam osjećala normalno", kaže.
"Za mnoge ljude to se čini kao mali problem, ali za one koji žive s tim, vrlo je teško."
Marcelo Praxedes, ginekolog koji je izveo zahvat, upozorava da je povećani klitoris "čest razvojni poremećaj" i priznaje da može utjecati na samopouzdanje žene.
“Ali povećani klitoris nije bolest”, objašnjava Praxedes.
Što je "klitoroplastika"?
Operacija smanjenja klitorisa ne cilja na njegovu funkciju glavnog izvora seksualnog užitka kod žena.
Uostalom, ovaj organ ima više od 8000 živčanih završetaka.
Slično "malom gumbu", klitoris varira u veličini od osobe do osobe.
Dr. Praxedes navodi neke od uzroka ove hipertrofije, poznate kao klitoromegalija: genetski ili hormonski poremećaji kao i korištenje anaboličkih steroida - tvari koju često uzimaju ljudi željni brže izgradnje mišićne mase.
Nenormalan rast ovog spolnog organa može biti potaknut i unosom hormona tijekom trudnoće, pojavom nekih tumora koji pojačavaju proizvodnju muških hormona, a u ekstremnim slučajevima nenormalan rast može biti posljedica sindroma policističnih jajnika (PCOS).
"PCOS se smatra najčešćom endokrinom bolešću u žena reproduktivne dobi. Njegova učestalost varira od 5 do 17 posto u ovoj dobnoj skupini“, kaže dr. Praksedes.
"Može uzrokovati neredovite menstruacije, akne, višak dlaka na tijelu i povećanje klitorisa u težim slučajevima."
Klitoris se prirodno povećava kada je uzbuđen zahvaljujući tkivu koje se puni krvlju.
To je uobičajeno kod svih žena, no kod onih s klitoromegalijom dodatno je naglašeno.
"Tijekom zahvata uklanjamo samo ono tkivo koje je uvećano. Čuvamo sve osjetljive i krvožilne dijelove koji su najvažniji“, objašnjava dr. Praksedes.
Ne postoji standardna veličina klitorisa. Stoga se savjetuje konzultirati liječnika kada stvarno postoji vizualna ili seksualna nelagoda.
“Pacijentica ne bi trebala mjeriti je li joj klitoris povećan ili ne, jer je to zapravo vrlo osobna stvar. A ako je malo povećana, a ona je zadovoljna, onda nema problema“, smatra dr. Praksedes.
U medicinskoj literaturi postoji klasifikacija pod nazivom Prader, koja brojčano rangira veličinu od jedan do četiri i koristi se za definiranje stupnja genitalne abnormalnosti, ali tu procjenu može dati samo stručnjak, piše bbc..

U Brazilu su izvedene dvije "klitoroplastike" - korektivne operacije klitorisa, piše BBC.
Maria, jedna od operiranih pacijentica, ima 22 godine i za BBC je progovorila o operaciji kojoj je bila podvrgnuta.
Ova mlada žena ispričala je kako se medicinskom timu požalila na veličinu svog klitorisa, te da je na hormonskoj terapiji od prosinca 2021. godine.
Marijin spolni organ, koji je već opisala kao velik, povećavao bi se tijekom odnosa, stvarajući joj veliku nelagodu.
“Nakon prvog seksa, s 18 godina, primijetila sam da mi je klitoris jako natekao. I to mi je jako smetalo" - ispričala je.
Tada je pitala ginekologa postoji li mogućnost da smanji veličinu klitorisa.
Mariji je kasnije dijagnosticirana genetska bolest koja uzrokuje nenormalan rast ovog organa.
"Nije mi smetalo u svakodnevnom životu, ali tijekom spolnog odnosa bih to gledala i imala dojam da to nije normalno. Htjela sam ga smanjiti”, objasnila je Maria.
Dodala je kako njezin tadašnji seksualni partner nikada nije pokazao da mu to smeta, iako ju je savjetovao da potraži pomoć jer je bila nesretna zbog toga.
U Ceari, državi u kojoj je Maria živjela, nije bilo kirurga specijalista, pa je morala čekati dok stručnjak iz Sao Paula nije pristao prijeći gotovo 3000 kilometara kako bi obavio zahvat.
“Operacija je prošla jako dobro. Sada se osjećam kao potpuna žena, jer prije se nisam osjećala normalno", kaže.
"Za mnoge ljude to se čini kao mali problem, ali za one koji žive s tim, vrlo je teško."
Marcelo Praxedes, ginekolog koji je izveo zahvat, upozorava da je povećani klitoris "čest razvojni poremećaj" i priznaje da može utjecati na samopouzdanje žene.
“Ali povećani klitoris nije bolest”, objašnjava Praxedes.
Što je "klitoroplastika"?
Operacija smanjenja klitorisa ne cilja na njegovu funkciju glavnog izvora seksualnog užitka kod žena.
Uostalom, ovaj organ ima više od 8000 živčanih završetaka.
Slično "malom gumbu", klitoris varira u veličini od osobe do osobe.
Dr. Praxedes navodi neke od uzroka ove hipertrofije, poznate kao klitoromegalija: genetski ili hormonski poremećaji kao i korištenje anaboličkih steroida - tvari koju često uzimaju ljudi željni brže izgradnje mišićne mase.
Nenormalan rast ovog spolnog organa može biti potaknut i unosom hormona tijekom trudnoće, pojavom nekih tumora koji pojačavaju proizvodnju muških hormona, a u ekstremnim slučajevima nenormalan rast može biti posljedica sindroma policističnih jajnika (PCOS).
"PCOS se smatra najčešćom endokrinom bolešću u žena reproduktivne dobi. Njegova učestalost varira od 5 do 17 posto u ovoj dobnoj skupini“, kaže dr. Praksedes.
"Može uzrokovati neredovite menstruacije, akne, višak dlaka na tijelu i povećanje klitorisa u težim slučajevima."
Klitoris se prirodno povećava kada je uzbuđen zahvaljujući tkivu koje se puni krvlju.
To je uobičajeno kod svih žena, no kod onih s klitoromegalijom dodatno je naglašeno.
"Tijekom zahvata uklanjamo samo ono tkivo koje je uvećano. Čuvamo sve osjetljive i krvožilne dijelove koji su najvažniji“, objašnjava dr. Praksedes.
Ne postoji standardna veličina klitorisa. Stoga se savjetuje konzultirati liječnika kada stvarno postoji vizualna ili seksualna nelagoda.
“Pacijentica ne bi trebala mjeriti je li joj klitoris povećan ili ne, jer je to zapravo vrlo osobna stvar. A ako je malo povećana, a ona je zadovoljna, onda nema problema“, smatra dr. Praksedes.
U medicinskoj literaturi postoji klasifikacija pod nazivom Prader, koja brojčano rangira veličinu od jedan do četiri i koristi se za definiranje stupnja genitalne abnormalnosti, ali tu procjenu može dati samo stručnjak, piše bbc..
