U Rusiji se čak 300 parova odlučilo vjenčati na dan pomrčine Sunca.

Golemo mnoštvo ljudi okupilo se u Novosibirsku, u Sibiru, najvećem gradu iz kojeg se u petak mogla promatrati pomrčina Sunca koju su mogli vidjeti i brojni Kinezi koji tu pojavu povezuju s nesrećom, te Kanađani, Norvežani i Mongoli.

Taj Sunčev fenomen koji je bio vidljiv i na Grenlandu, potaknuo je najezdu turista u Sibir gdje su cijene hotela dosegnule "astronomske" razmjere, prema pisanju ruskih medija.

Na televizijskim snimkama mogli su se vidjeti znatiželjnici, među kojima je bilo desetak tisuća turista, domaćih i stranih, koji su promatrali nebo s obale rijeke Ob, velike rijeke koja prolazi kroz Novosibirsk, grad na zapadu Sibira.

Dok su astrolozi i stručnjaci za feng shui upozoravali da bi pomrčina mogla poremetiti Olimpijske igre u Pekingu, ruska vojska je bila optimistična i službeno je priopćila da ta pojava neće omesti rad njezinih "sustava za nadzor strateških raketa".

Potpuna pomrčina mogla se dvije minute pratiti na crti dugoj 10.200 km, od sjeveroistoka Kanade do sjeverozapada Grenlanda, nad Sjevernim ledenim morem, na sjeveru Sibira i na zapadu Mongolije, a završila se na sjeveru Kine dva sata kasnije, u 13.20 sati po srednjoeuropskom vremenu.

U Rusiji se čak 300 parova odlučilo vjenčati na dan pomrčine Sunca.

Golemo mnoštvo ljudi okupilo se u Novosibirsku, u Sibiru, najvećem gradu iz kojeg se u petak mogla promatrati pomrčina Sunca koju su mogli vidjeti i brojni Kinezi koji tu pojavu povezuju s nesrećom, te Kanađani, Norvežani i Mongoli.

Taj Sunčev fenomen koji je bio vidljiv i na Grenlandu, potaknuo je najezdu turista u Sibir gdje su cijene hotela dosegnule "astronomske" razmjere, prema pisanju ruskih medija.

Na televizijskim snimkama mogli su se vidjeti znatiželjnici, među kojima je bilo desetak tisuća turista, domaćih i stranih, koji su promatrali nebo s obale rijeke Ob, velike rijeke koja prolazi kroz Novosibirsk, grad na zapadu Sibira.

Dok su astrolozi i stručnjaci za feng shui upozoravali da bi pomrčina mogla poremetiti Olimpijske igre u Pekingu, ruska vojska je bila optimistična i službeno je priopćila da ta pojava neće omesti rad njezinih "sustava za nadzor strateških raketa".

Potpuna pomrčina mogla se dvije minute pratiti na crti dugoj 10.200 km, od sjeveroistoka Kanade do sjeverozapada Grenlanda, nad Sjevernim ledenim morem, na sjeveru Sibira i na zapadu Mongolije, a završila se na sjeveru Kine dva sata kasnije, u 13.20 sati po srednjoeuropskom vremenu.
