Južnoafrički TV kanal eNCA objavio je fotografiju svjedokinje, usprkos sudskom nalogu da se zaštiti privatnost svih svjedoka koji to zatraže. Objavljena je fotografija sveučilišne profesorice Michelle Burger, prve Pistoriusove susjede koja je u ponedjeljak svjedočila o kobnoj noći na Valentinovo 2013. kad je atletičar ubio svoju djevojku Reevu Steenkamp. Pistorius je priznao da ju je ubio, ali tvrdi kako je mislio da puca u provalnika, prenosi Jutarnji list.

Strategija njegove obrane temelji se na visokoj stopi nasilja u JAR-u. Odvjetnici taj faktor kombiniraju s Pistoriusovim ograničenim fizičkim sposobnostima zbog kojih se on navodno osjeća ranjivim i navode ih kao razlog njegova gubitka kontrole. Emotivni nastup na sudu za svjedokinju Michelle Burger otpočetka je bio traumatičan. Pozvana je s još dvoje Pistoriusovih najbližih susjeda i ispričala je kako su je u noći ubojstva probudili “krici koji su ledili krv u žilama”, nakon kojih je čula pucnjeve.

- U toj se kući događalo nešto užasno, žena je vrištala, a on je zvao u pomoć - izjavila je. Njezin se iskaz izravno kosi s Pistoriusovim, koji tvrdi da je samo on vikao kad je pomislio da mu se u kupaonici zatvorio provalnik.

Pistoriusov odvjetnik Barry Roux u unakrsnom je ispitivanju pokušao uništiti vjerodostojnost Michelle Burger. Optužio ju je da je iskaz sastavila prema iskazu svog supruga i satima ju je bombardirao pitanjima poput onoga je li moguće da je pucnjeva bilo i prije nego što se probudila. Paragraf po paragraf analizirao je njezin i suprugov iskaz kako bi uvjerio sud da ona manipulira.

Burger se na kraju slomila i u suzama rekla: - Pokušavam biti precizna koliko je to na sudu moguće. Ne znate kako je bilo slušati te krikove, to je bio užas.

Tada je riječ zatražio tužitelj Gerrie Nel i obavijestio sud da je u medijima objavljena fotografija zaštićene svjedokinje. Televizija eNCA emitirala je fotografiju s naslovom: “Na kioscima: Michelle Burger, Pistoriusova susjeda”. Sutkinja je prekinula ročište i zatražila istragu. Urednici eNCA-e kažu da su kontaktirali sud i pitali smiju li objaviti fotografiju. Sud tvrdi da je rekao da je ne smiju objaviti.

Objavljena je fotografija sveučilišne profesorice Michelle Burger, prve Pistoriusove susjede koja je u ponedjeljak svjedočila o kobnoj noći na Valentinovo 2013. kad je atletičar ubio svoju djevojku Reevu Steenkamp. Pistorius je priznao da ju je ubio, ali tvrdi kako je mislio da puca u provalnika, prenosi Jutarnji list.

Strategija njegove obrane temelji se na visokoj stopi nasilja u JAR-u. Odvjetnici taj faktor kombiniraju s Pistoriusovim ograničenim fizičkim sposobnostima zbog kojih se on navodno osjeća ranjivim i navode ih kao razlog njegova gubitka kontrole. Emotivni nastup na sudu za svjedokinju Michelle Burger otpočetka je bio traumatičan. Pozvana je s još dvoje Pistoriusovih najbližih susjeda i ispričala je kako su je u noći ubojstva probudili “krici koji su ledili krv u žilama”, nakon kojih je čula pucnjeve.

- U toj se kući događalo nešto užasno, žena je vrištala, a on je zvao u pomoć - izjavila je. Njezin se iskaz izravno kosi s Pistoriusovim, koji tvrdi da je samo on vikao kad je pomislio da mu se u kupaonici zatvorio provalnik.

Pistoriusov odvjetnik Barry Roux u unakrsnom je ispitivanju pokušao uništiti vjerodostojnost Michelle Burger. Optužio ju je da je iskaz sastavila prema iskazu svog supruga i satima ju je bombardirao pitanjima poput onoga je li moguće da je pucnjeva bilo i prije nego što se probudila. Paragraf po paragraf analizirao je njezin i suprugov iskaz kako bi uvjerio sud da ona manipulira.

Burger se na kraju slomila i u suzama rekla: - Pokušavam biti precizna koliko je to na sudu moguće. Ne znate kako je bilo slušati te krikove, to je bio užas.

Tada je riječ zatražio tužitelj Gerrie Nel i obavijestio sud da je u medijima objavljena fotografija zaštićene svjedokinje. Televizija eNCA emitirala je fotografiju s naslovom: “Na kioscima: Michelle Burger, Pistoriusova susjeda”. Sutkinja je prekinula ročište i zatražila istragu. Urednici eNCA-e kažu da su kontaktirali sud i pitali smiju li objaviti fotografiju. Sud tvrdi da je rekao da je ne smiju objaviti.
