Mjesec dana prije nego li je napunila 26 godina, Amerikanka Nina Ragusa sletjela je u glavni grad Tajlanda, Bangkok. U rodom gradu Tampa u državi Florida provela je prije toga dvije godine štedeći za ovo putovanje tako da je radila dva posla.
Pet godina kasnije, dom je posjetila tek dvaput, a u međuvremenu je planinarila po vulkanskim kraterima Indonezije, pila iz kokosa i vozila jetski u Mozambiku, ronila u Maleziji i upijala dojmove kaotičnih ulica Sumatre.
Posao tutorice engleskog jezika uspjela je naći kroz par dana i to na dva semestra, a već su joj se sljedeće godine otvorile mogućnosti da radi dva nova posla: podučava engleski online i honorarno piše.
- U ova dva posla uletjela sam slučajno, ali kroz to sam naučila da čak i ako nisi siguran kako ćeš srediti neke stvari, ako uporno tražiš, riskiraš kada se za nešto odlučiš i uistinu se potrudiš oko toga, nešto dobro će se dogoditi – rekla je Ragusa.
Trenutno živi u Australiji gdje radi kao konobarica i u surf shopu, štedeći za putovanje kamperom duž kontinenta sa svojim dečkom Garrettom Galvanom.
- Trudim se sporazumijevati na lokalnom jeziku, hranu kupujem u trgovinama, a uokolo se krećem što zanimljivijim transportnim sredstvima. Upoznajem nove ljude, doživljavam njihovu kulturu, pronađem nešto što će mi oduzeti dah i zadiviti me, popijem pivu i probudim se sljedeći dan s namjerom da postupim jednako – pojasnila je Ragusa.
- Posao i rad su neizbježni, bez obzira što to na fotografijama ne mora izgledati tako. Ovaj životni stil nije jednostavan za održati je predstavlja neprestani tok izazova koje morate prijeći, ali vrijedi svake kaplje znoja, suza i piva – kaže Nina i nastavlja:
- Pronalaženje prilika za život u inozemstvu više je nego što ljudi misle. Trebate određen način razmišljanja da bi se snašli, što sam vrlo brzo naučila kada sam prvi put sama otišla na kontinent na kojem do sada još nisam bila. Bit će strašno, zbunjujuće i ponekad će se dogoditi i neuspjeh. Ali znati da si pokušao vrjednije je nego da se pitaš što bi moglo biti – zaključuje Ragusa.

Mjesec dana prije nego li je napunila 26 godina, Amerikanka Nina Ragusa sletjela je u glavni grad Tajlanda, Bangkok. U rodom gradu Tampa u državi Florida provela je prije toga dvije godine štedeći za ovo putovanje tako da je radila dva posla.
Pet godina kasnije, dom je posjetila tek dvaput, a u međuvremenu je planinarila po vulkanskim kraterima Indonezije, pila iz kokosa i vozila jetski u Mozambiku, ronila u Maleziji i upijala dojmove kaotičnih ulica Sumatre.
Posao tutorice engleskog jezika uspjela je naći kroz par dana i to na dva semestra, a već su joj se sljedeće godine otvorile mogućnosti da radi dva nova posla: podučava engleski online i honorarno piše.
- U ova dva posla uletjela sam slučajno, ali kroz to sam naučila da čak i ako nisi siguran kako ćeš srediti neke stvari, ako uporno tražiš, riskiraš kada se za nešto odlučiš i uistinu se potrudiš oko toga, nešto dobro će se dogoditi – rekla je Ragusa.
Trenutno živi u Australiji gdje radi kao konobarica i u surf shopu, štedeći za putovanje kamperom duž kontinenta sa svojim dečkom Garrettom Galvanom.
- Trudim se sporazumijevati na lokalnom jeziku, hranu kupujem u trgovinama, a uokolo se krećem što zanimljivijim transportnim sredstvima. Upoznajem nove ljude, doživljavam njihovu kulturu, pronađem nešto što će mi oduzeti dah i zadiviti me, popijem pivu i probudim se sljedeći dan s namjerom da postupim jednako – pojasnila je Ragusa.
- Posao i rad su neizbježni, bez obzira što to na fotografijama ne mora izgledati tako. Ovaj životni stil nije jednostavan za održati je predstavlja neprestani tok izazova koje morate prijeći, ali vrijedi svake kaplje znoja, suza i piva – kaže Nina i nastavlja:
- Pronalaženje prilika za život u inozemstvu više je nego što ljudi misle. Trebate određen način razmišljanja da bi se snašli, što sam vrlo brzo naučila kada sam prvi put sama otišla na kontinent na kojem do sada još nisam bila. Bit će strašno, zbunjujuće i ponekad će se dogoditi i neuspjeh. Ali znati da si pokušao vrjednije je nego da se pitaš što bi moglo biti – zaključuje Ragusa.
