Popodnevno drijemanje dobiva loš glas. Neki siestu vide kao znak lijenosti, niske energije ili čak bolesti, ali nova studija sugerira da bi vas popodnevni san mogao učiniti mentalno oštrijim ako ste stariji od 60 godina, javlja Healthline. 

Starije odrasle osobe koje su popodne drijemale imale su veći rezultat na kognitivnom testu od onih koji nisu drijemali. Studija, objavljena u časopisu General Psychiatry, proučavala je i fizičko i kognitivno zdravlje 2214 ljudi starijih od 60 godina koji žive u velikim gradovima u Kini. Od toga je 1534 redovito spavalo poslijepodne, a 680 nije.

Opservacijska studija pokazala je da su osobe koje spavaju postigle "značajno više" rezultate na ispitu mentalnog stanja (MMSE), standardiziranom testu probira demencije koji uključuje procjenu vizualno-prostornih vještina, raspona pažnje, rješavanja problema, radne memorije, lokacijske svijesti i verbalne tečnosti. 

Drijemači su se posebno dobro pokazali u posljednje tri kategorije, prema studiji koju je vodio dr. Lin Sun iz Centra za Alzheimerovu bolest i srodne poremećaje u Šangajskom centru za mentalno zdravlje na Šangajskom sveučilištu Jiao Tong.

Popodnevno drijemanje dobiva loš glas. Neki siestu vide kao znak lijenosti, niske energije ili čak bolesti, ali nova studija sugerira da bi vas popodnevni san mogao učiniti mentalno oštrijim ako ste stariji od 60 godina, javlja Healthline. 

Starije odrasle osobe koje su popodne drijemale imale su veći rezultat na kognitivnom testu od onih koji nisu drijemali. Studija, objavljena u časopisu General Psychiatry, proučavala je i fizičko i kognitivno zdravlje 2214 ljudi starijih od 60 godina koji žive u velikim gradovima u Kini. Od toga je 1534 redovito spavalo poslijepodne, a 680 nije.

Opservacijska studija pokazala je da su osobe koje spavaju postigle "značajno više" rezultate na ispitu mentalnog stanja (MMSE), standardiziranom testu probira demencije koji uključuje procjenu vizualno-prostornih vještina, raspona pažnje, rješavanja problema, radne memorije, lokacijske svijesti i verbalne tečnosti. 

Drijemači su se posebno dobro pokazali u posljednje tri kategorije, prema studiji koju je vodio dr. Lin Sun iz Centra za Alzheimerovu bolest i srodne poremećaje u Šangajskom centru za mentalno zdravlje na Šangajskom sveučilištu Jiao Tong.

- San ima puno veze s vašom sposobnošću učenja, rekla je za Healthline Davina Ramkissoon, direktorica Zevo Healtha. “Drijemanje pomaže vašem mozgu da se oporavi od izgaranja ili preopterećenja informacijama. Dok drijemate, vaš mozak briše nepotrebne informacije iz privremenih područja vašeg mozga kako bi ga pripremio za apsorpciju novih informacija.”

Popodnevno drijemanje dobiva loš glas. Neki siestu vide kao znak lijenosti, niske energije ili čak bolesti, ali nova studija sugerira da bi vas popodnevni san mogao učiniti mentalno oštrijim ako ste stariji od 60 godina, javlja Healthline. 

Starije odrasle osobe koje su popodne drijemale imale su veći rezultat na kognitivnom testu od onih koji nisu drijemali. Studija, objavljena u časopisu General Psychiatry, proučavala je i fizičko i kognitivno zdravlje 2214 ljudi starijih od 60 godina koji žive u velikim gradovima u Kini. Od toga je 1534 redovito spavalo poslijepodne, a 680 nije.

Opservacijska studija pokazala je da su osobe koje spavaju postigle "značajno više" rezultate na ispitu mentalnog stanja (MMSE), standardiziranom testu probira demencije koji uključuje procjenu vizua...
