Kad se radi o čuvanju hrane u hladnjaku, većina se vodi principom kako pohranjivanje na niskim temperaturama "ne može naškoditi". Dapače. Dok na sobnoj temperaturi uvijek postoji rizik da se ukusna salata, tjestenina ili umak koji ste skuhali pokvare, s hladnjakom ste sigurni.
No što je sa sirovom hranom?
Ovdje pak mnogi pretjeruju. Prema pisanju portala HowStuffWorks, pet namirnica nema što tražiti u carstvu hladnoće mnogima omiljenog kućanskog aparata. Iako to mnogi čine.
1. Kruh
Iako čuvanje u hladnjaku uistinu može spriječiti stvaranje plijesni, temperatura i zrak u hladnjaku nikako ne pogoduju teksturi kruha. Ranije će se osušiti i postati teksture poput papira, nejestiv.
Kruh je najbolje čuvati u papirnatoj vrećici ili škartocu na sobnoj temperaturi ili pak u spremniku za kruh, bez omota. Tako ćete sačuvati hrskavu koru, a kruh će iznutra ostati mekan. Ako pak želite sačuvati kruh na dulje vrijeme ili imate zalihe koje nećete potrošiti u par dana, kruh je najbolje zamrznuti.

2. Krumpiri
Krumpiri se na temperaturi ispod 7 stupnjeva Celzijevih ponašaju potpuno drugačije nego na sobnoj temperaturi. Škrob se počinje raspadati i pretvarati u šećer što reultira neželjenim promjenama u teksturi zbog čega krumpir postaje tvrđi i slađi.
Treba ih čuvati na tamnim mjestima, poželjno vlažnima i izoliranima. Ako možete, držite krumpire u podrumu ili ostavi. Pazite na klijanje, odvajajte i trošite krumpire u periodima od dva tjedna.

3. Tikva
Za čuvanje tikve ne treba vam posebno mjesto u kuhinji - izgleda lijepo pa je možete držati, uz neki aranžman, i na stolu u blagovaonici. Naravno, ukoliko je planirate pojesti u roku od tjedan-dva. U protivnom, birajte tamna mjesta temperature oko 10 stupnjeva Celzijevih, ali nikako hladnjak.
Pazite da ne čuvate tikvu blizu namirnica poput banana, rajčica i luka - otpuštaju etilen pa će i tikva brže propasti.

4. Rajčice
Rajčice mogu preživjeti do dva tjedna na sobnoj temperaturi, a ne preporučuje ih se držati u hladnjaku jer gube na okusu. Najbolje ih je držati dalje od izvora svjetlosti, poželjno u papirnatoj vrećici.
Ako im želite produljiti trajanje, možete ih čuvati i u hladnjaku, ali izvadite ih najmanje sat vremena prije konzumacije.

5. Luk
Slično kao krumpir, luk je dobro čuvati u kuhinjskom ormariću ili smočnici. Razlika je u tome što teži suhom, tamnom i hladnom okruženju, za razliku od hladnog i vlažnog okoliša koji preferira krumpir.
Pazite da ga ne spremate u plastične vrećice jer protok zraka ne može ući, a i da u prostoru ima dovoljno ventilacije da luk ostane svjež i aromatičan.
U hladnjaku čuvajte samo oguljeni ili narezani luk.

Kad se radi o čuvanju hrane u hladnjaku, većina se vodi principom kako pohranjivanje na niskim temperaturama "ne može naškoditi". Dapače. Dok na sobnoj temperaturi uvijek postoji rizik da se ukusna salata, tjestenina ili umak koji ste skuhali pokvare, s hladnjakom ste sigurni.
No što je sa sirovom hranom?
Ovdje pak mnogi pretjeruju. Prema pisanju portala HowStuffWorks, pet namirnica nema što tražiti u carstvu hladnoće mnogima omiljenog kućanskog aparata. Iako to mnogi čine.
1. Kruh
Iako čuvanje u hladnjaku uistinu može spriječiti stvaranje plijesni, temperatura i zrak u hladnjaku nikako ne pogoduju teksturi kruha. Ranije će se osušiti i postati teksture poput papira, nejestiv.
Kruh je najbolje čuvati u papirnatoj vrećici ili škartocu na sobnoj temperaturi ili pak u spremniku za kruh, bez omota. Tako ćete sačuvati hrskavu koru, a kruh će iznutra ostati mekan. Ako pak želite sačuvati kruh na dulje vrijeme ili imate zalihe koje nećete potrošiti u par dana, kruh je najbolje zamrznuti.

2. Krumpiri
Krumpiri se na temperaturi ispod 7 stupnjeva Celzijevih ponašaju potpuno drugačije nego na sobnoj temperaturi. Škrob se počinje raspadati i pretvarati u šećer što reultira neželjenim promjenama u teksturi zbog čega krumpir postaje tvrđi i slađi.
Treba ih čuvati na tamnim mjestima, poželjno vlažnima i izoliranima. Ako možete, držite krumpire u podrumu ili ostavi. Pazite na klijanje, odvajajte i trošite krumpire u periodima od dva tjedna.

Za čuvanje tikve ne treba vam posebno mjesto u kuhinji - izgleda lijepo pa je možete držati, uz neki aranžman, i na stolu u blagovaonici. Naravno, ukoliko je planirate pojesti u roku od tjedan-dva. U protivnom, birajte tamna mjesta temperature oko 10 stupnjeva Celzijevih, ali nikako hladnjak.
Pazite da ne čuvate tikvu blizu namirnica poput banana, rajčica i luka - otpuštaju etilen pa će i tikva brže propasti.

4. Rajčice
Rajčice mogu preživjeti do dva tjedna na sobnoj temperaturi, a ne preporučuje ih se držati u hladnjaku jer gube na okusu. Najbolje ih je držati dalje od izvora svjetlosti, poželjno u papirnatoj vrećici.
Ako im želite produljiti trajanje, možete ih čuvati i u hladnjaku, ali izvadite ih najmanje sat vremena prije konzumacije.

5. Luk
Slično kao krumpir, luk je dobro čuvati u kuhinjskom ormariću ili smočnici. Razlika je u tome što teži suhom, tamnom i hladnom okruženju, za razliku od hladnog i vlažnog okoliša koji preferira krumpir.
Pazite da ga ne spremate u plastične vrećice jer protok zraka ne može ući, a i da u prostoru ima dovoljno ventilacije da luk ostane svjež i aromatičan.
U hladnjaku čuvajte samo oguljeni ili narezani luk.
