To se stručno i znanstveno zove "pubertet".

Djeca odjednom uoče da su roditelji zapravo dinosaurusi iz pretprošlog stoljeća koji ništa pod milim Bogom ne razumiju, te se počnu intenzivnije družiti sa svojim vršnjacima, shvativši da im je to puno pametnije. Do jučer nezamjenjive na božanskom prijestolju, roditeljske figure odjednom blijede i povlače se u dubinu životne fotografije, u takozvani "drugi plan" iliti "pozadinu zbivanja".

Prema udžbenicima iz psihologije, to je dokaz da su djeca normalna. Potvrđeno je to i samim životom kroz više stotina generacija na ovom planetu: u nekom trenutku razvoja ljudskog bića vršnjačke skupine postanu glavni izvor identifikacije, a roditeljski uzori sele se na margine.

Roditelji se pritom tješe kako se to njihovoj djeci samo čini da su ih nadrasli, te u roditeljskom očaju citiraju jedan drugome znamenitu misao koja se pripisuje Marku Twainu, a koja glasi otprilike ovako:

Opametili se kad sam napunio 35

"Kad sam imao 15 godina, moji roditelji su odjednom postali nevjerojatno nerazumni. Sva sreća da su se odjednom opametili kad sam napunio 35 godina."

No roditelji su u krivu. Ovakve stvari ne idu unatrag. Nakon "puberteta" dolazi "tinejdžerstvo", odnosno "adolescencija", koje mladi ljudi provode uvjeravajući se da im je pubertetski zaključak o roditeljima kao dinosaurusima bio temeljito ispravan.

Jedini roditeljski spas je da prihvate tu percepciju svojih potomaka i da se koliko-toliko uključe u njihove dnevne rituale.

Ili noćne, kao u slučaju potpisanog roditelja.

U ekipi moje kćeri ja sam, naime, u galeriji roditeljskih likova tagiran kao "onaj koji nas vozi". Počelo je to prije tri godine, kada je ekipa krenula u srednju školu i vrlo brzo stekla nezdravu naviku da povremeno izlazi navečer.

Pritom, kad kažem "navečer", ne mislim na onu definiciju riječi "navečer" koja je bila dominantna kad sam ja bio njihovih godina. U ta prahistorijska vremena "navečer" je značilo razdoblje od otprilike 19 do otprilike 22 sata.

Večer počinje u ponoć

Mogu vam povjeriti da je u međuvremenu hrvatski jezik značajno evoluirao - danas termin "navečer" znači otprilike razdoblje od ponoći do zore.

Uglavnom, ja sam taj koji ih u kasne sate vozi u disko (rjeđe), odnosno u sitne sate iz diska (češće). Voze ih i drugi roditelji, naravno, ali ta sitnonoćna post-disko zadaća obično zapadne mene. Tako sam, u ove tri godine, imao priliku pratiti razvoj glazbenog ukusa ove prve digitalne generacije i munjevite promjene preferencija pojedinih stilova, od "cajki" u "Hemingwaya" do "trash-večeri" u O'Hare, i konačno do – Ultre na Poljudu.

Djeca odjednom uoče da su roditelji zapravo dinosaurusi iz pretprošlog stoljeća koji ništa pod milim Bogom ne razumiju, te se počnu intenzivnije družiti sa svojim vršnjacima, shvativši da im je to puno pametnije. Do jučer nezamjenjive na božanskom prijestolju, roditeljske figure odjednom blijede i povlače se u dubinu životne fotografije, u takozvani "drugi plan" iliti "pozadinu zbivanja".

Prema udžbenicima iz psihologije, to je dokaz da su djeca normalna. Potvrđeno je to i samim životom kroz više stotina generacija na ovom planetu: u nekom trenutku razvoja ljudskog bića vršnjačke skupine postanu glavni izvor identifikacije, a roditeljski uzori sele se na margine.

Roditelji se pritom tješe kako se to njihovoj djeci samo čini da su ih nadrasli, te u roditeljskom očaju citiraju jedan drugome znamenitu misao koja se pripisuje Marku Twainu, a koja glasi otprilike ovako:

Opametili se kad sam napunio 35

"Kad sam imao 15 godina, moji roditelji su odjednom postali nevjerojatno nerazumni. Sva sreća da su se odjednom opametili kad sam napunio 35 godina."

No roditelji su u krivu. Ovakve stvari ne idu unatrag. Nakon "puberteta" dolazi "tinejdžerstvo", odnosno "adolescencija", koje mladi ljudi provode uvjeravajući se da im je pubertetski zaključak o roditeljima kao dinosaurusima bio temeljito ispravan.

Jedini roditeljski spas je da prihvate tu percepciju svojih potomaka i da se koliko-toliko uključe u njihove dnevne rituale.

Ili noćne, kao u slučaju potpisanog roditelja.

U ekipi moje kćeri ja sam, naime, u galeriji roditeljskih likova tagiran kao "onaj koji nas vozi". Počelo je to prije tri godine, kada je ekipa krenula u srednju školu i vrlo brzo stekla nezdravu naviku da povremeno izlazi navečer.

Pritom, kad kažem "navečer", ne mislim na onu definiciju riječi "navečer" koja je bila dominantna kad sam ja bio njihovih godina. U ta prahistorijska vremena "navečer" je značilo razdoblje od otprilike 19 do otprilike 22 sata.

Večer počinje u ponoć

Mogu vam povjeriti da je u međuvremenu hrvatski jezik značajno evoluirao - danas termin "navečer" znači otprilike razdoblje od ponoći do zore.

Uglavnom, ja sam taj koji ih u kasne sate vozi u disko (rjeđe), odnosno u sitne sate iz diska (češće). Voze ih i drugi roditelji, naravno, ali ta sitnonoćna post-disko zadaća obično zapadne mene. Tako sam, u ove tri godine, imao priliku pratiti razvoj glazbenog ukusa ove prve digitalne generacije i munjevite promjene preferencija pojedinih stilova, od "cajki" u "Hemingwaya" do "trash-večeri" u O'Hare, i konačno do – Ultre na Poljudu.
