Znanstvenici sa Sveučilišta u Pittsburghu proveli su probno istraživanje tijekom kojeg su doveli u vezu povećan fizički zamor i rizik od ranije smrti kod starijih osoba. Rezultati studije objavljeni su u medicinskom časopisu "Gerontology", a prenosi ih portal Sputnik.news.

Naime, znanstvenici su nakon različitih vrsta fizičkog opterećenja ocjenjivali zamor pomoću nove Pitsburške skale umora, a u eksperimentu je sudjelovalo preko 2.000 ljudi starijih od 60 godina.

Prilikom sumiranja rezultata znanstvenici su uzeli u obzir mnoštvo dodatnih faktora koji utječu na smrtnost, kao što su sklonost depresiji, neizlječive bolesti, dob i spol ispitanika.Ispitanici su ocjenjivali stupanj zamora nakon lagane polusatne šetnje, obavljanja lakših kućnih poslova ili intenzivnog vrtlarenja.

Na kraju je zaključeno da su sudionici u istraživanju koji su se prilikom testiranja najviše umarali imali dvostruko veće šanse da umru u naredne dvije godine i sedam mjeseci u usporedbi sa svojim vršnjacima koji su se manje zamarali.

- Prethodna istraživanja su pokazala da veća fizička aktivnost može smanjiti umor. Naša studija je prva koja dovodi u vezu veći fizički zamor sa skorijom smrću. Nasuprot tome, niži pokazatelji ukazuju na više energije i duži životni vijek - kažu stručnjaci.

Prema riječima Nancy Glynn, vodeće autorice istraživanja, da bi smanjili rizik od smrtnosti starije osobe trebaju imati bar minimalan nivo fizičke aktivnosti. Glynn savjetuje redovite šetnje na zraku ili vježbe za starije ljude, piše Sputnik.news.

Znanstvenici sa Sveučilišta u Pittsburghu proveli su probno istraživanje tijekom kojeg su doveli u vezu povećan fizički zamor i rizik od ranije smrti kod starijih osoba. Rezultati studije objavljeni su u medicinskom časopisu "Gerontology", a prenosi ih portal Sputnik.news.

Naime, znanstvenici su nakon različitih vrsta fizičkog opterećenja ocjenjivali zamor pomoću nove Pitsburške skale umora, a u eksperimentu je sudjelovalo preko 2.000 ljudi starijih od 60 godina.

Prilikom sumiranja rezultata znanstvenici su uzeli u obzir mnoštvo dodatnih faktora koji utječu na smrtnost, kao što su sklonost depresiji, neizlječive bolesti, dob i spol ispitanika.Ispitanici su ocjenjivali stupanj zamora nakon lagane polusatne šetnje, obavljanja lakših kućnih poslova ili intenzivnog vrtlarenja.

Na kraju je zaključeno da su sudionici u istraživanju koji su se prilikom testiranja najviše umarali imali dvostruko veće šanse da umru u naredne dvije godine i sedam mjeseci u usporedbi sa svojim vršnjacima koji su se manje zamarali.

- Prethodna istraživanja su pokazala da veća fizička aktivnost može smanjiti umor. Naša studija je prva koja dovodi u vezu veći fizički zamor sa skorijom smrću. Nasuprot tome, niži pokazatelji ukazuju na više energije i duži životni vijek - kažu stručnjaci.

Prema riječima Nancy Glynn, vodeće autorice istraživanja, da bi smanjili rizik od smrtnosti starije osobe trebaju imati bar minimalan nivo fizičke aktivnosti. Glynn savjetuje redovite šetnje na zraku ili vježbe za starije ljude, piše Sputnik.news.

Umaranje ukazuje na skoriju smrt? Novo istraživanje pokazalo da ljudi koji imaju manje energije obično prije i umiru

Znanstvenici sa Sveučilišta u Pittsburghu proveli su probno istraživanje tijekom kojeg su doveli u vezu povećan fizički zamor i rizik od ranije smrti kod starijih osoba. Rezultati studije objavljeni su u medicinskom časopisu "Gerontology", a prenosi ih portal Sputnik.news.

Naime, znanstvenici su nakon različitih vrsta fizičkog opterećenja ocjenjivali zamor pomoću nove Pitsburške skale umora, a u eksperimentu je sudjelovalo preko 2.000 ljudi starijih od 60 godina.

Prilikom sumiranja rezultata znanstvenici su uzeli u obzir mnoštvo dodatnih faktora koji utječu na smrtnost, kao što su sklonost depresiji, neizlječive bolesti, dob i spol ispitanika.Ispitanici su ocjenjivali stupanj zamora nakon lagane polusatne šetnje, obavljanja lakših kućnih poslova ili intenzivnog vrtla...
