Prema riječima endokrinologa sa Sveučilišta Rush u Chicagu Antonija Bianca simptomi usporenog rada štitne žlijezde, koji se naziva hipotireoza, mogu se razlikovati od osobe do osobe.

Uobičajeni simptomi ovog poremećaja su manjak energije, što uzrokuje stalni umor i potrebu za dužim snom te usporen metabolizam, koji može dovesti do debljanja te veće osjetljivosti na hladnoću, piše klix.ba.

Osim ovih simptoma, ako se hipotireoza ne liječi, može dovesti i do natečenog lica, promuklosti, stanjivanja obrva, sporog govora, zadebljale kože te problema s okusom i mirisom.

Depresija

Hipotireoza uzrokuje usporavanje mozga. To može otežati fokusiranje, što može dovesti do kliničke depresije. Kada je raspoloženje ugroženo, ljudi također mogu reći da se osjećaju slabo i ukočeno.

Problemi s pamćenjem

Iako hipotireoza može uzrokovati probleme s pamćenjem, prema studiji objavljenoj u časopisu JAMA Neurology 2014. godine, ohrabrujuća je vijest da znanstvenici ne vjeruju da ona dovodi do trajne kognitivne disfunkcije.

Promjene u menstrualnom ciklusu

Za žene s hipotireozom, menstruacija može biti duža ili kraća, ili se volumen krvi može povećati. Međutim, ovo može biti simptom i drugih bolesti povezan s reproduktivnim zdravljem pa je najbolje posjetiti ginekologa.

Neplodnost

Liječnici kada žele saznati jeste li plodni, obično provjeravaju rad štitne žlijezde. Ako se utvrdi da je hipotireoza uzrok neplodnosti, liječenje često dovodi do uspješne trudnoće.

Visok kolesterol

Niske razine hormona štitne žlijezde i visoke razine hormona koji stimuliraju štitnu žlijezdu (TSH), može dovesti do visokog kolesterola. Međutim, manja hipotireoza obično ne utječe na kolesterol.

Prema riječima endokrinologa sa Sveučilišta Rush u Chicagu Antonija Bianca simptomi usporenog rada štitne žlijezde, koji se naziva hipotireoza, mogu se razlikovati od osobe do osobe.

Uobičajeni simptomi ovog poremećaja su manjak energije, što uzrokuje stalni umor i potrebu za dužim snom te usporen metabolizam, koji može dovesti do debljanja te veće osjetljivosti na hladnoću, piše klix.ba.

Neplodnost

Liječnici kada žele saznati jeste li plodni, obično provjeravaju rad štitne žlijezde. Ako se utvrdi da je hipotireoza uzrok neplodnosti, liječenje često dovodi do uspješne trudnoće.

Visok kolesterol

Niske razine hormona štitne žlijezde i visoke razine hormona koji stimuliraju štitnu žlijezdu (TSH), može dovesti do visokog kolesterola. Međutim, manja hipotireoza obično ne utječe na kolesterol.

Prema riječima endokrinologa sa Sveučilišta Rush u Chicagu Antonija Bianca simptomi usporenog rada štitne žlijezde, koji se naziva hipotireoza, mogu se razlikovati od osobe do osobe.
