Kad je riječ o određenim medicinskim simptomima ponekad može biti neugodno tražiti stručnu liječničku pomoć. Ipak, mislite li da nešto nije u redu, uvijek je najbolje to provjeriti. Kao što sam naziv bolesti kaže, rak vrata maternice je rak koji započinje svoj razvoj u vratu maternice, otvoru između uterusa i vagine. Najčešće se javlja kod žena u dobi mlađoj od 45 godina, ali može se javiti u bilo kojoj dobi. Problem je što se simptomi lako mogu zamijeniti za one koji uobičajeno prate menstruaciju ili koji su karakteristični za, primjerice, endometriozu, piše Živim .
- Rak vrata maternice nastaje u cerviksu ili vratu maternice, donjem dijelu uterusa koji je povezan s vaginom i vrlo često je podmukao te ne daje nikakve simptome u ranoj fazi. Glavni uzrok je uporna infekcija humanim papiloma virusom (HPV), odnosno nekim od sojeva iz te uobičajene skupine virusa. Ono što doprinosi razvoju bolesti jest to što infekcija humanim papiloma virusom često prolazi neprimijećeno te su upravo zbog toga izuzetno važne redovite kontrole i probir. Većina infekcija HPV-om će proći sama od sebe, no određeni visoko rizični sojevi s vremenom mogu dovesti do razvoja raka - pojašnjava dr. Unsworth.

Simptomi
U najranijoj fazi rak vrata maternice često ne uzrokuje nikakve simptome, upozorava dr. Unsworth te dodaje da, kad se pojave, četiri ključna simptoma trebaju za ženu biti znak da se hitno javi svom liječniku jer rano otkrivanje bolesti donosi i veće šanse za izlječenje. Ističe i da se ti simptomi mogu pripisati i nekim drugim zdravstvenim problemima, no ipak ih obavezno treba provjeriti. Simptomi na koje morate obratiti posebnu pažnju su:
- promjene u vaginalnom krvarenju
- promjene u vaginalnom iscjetku
- bolan snošaj
- neobjašnjiva bol
Promjene u vaginalnom krvarenju
Prema dr. Unsworth, bilo kakve devijacije od uobičajenog obrasca menstrualnog krvarenja, poput krvarenja između dvije menstruacije, krvarenja nakon snošaja ili postmenopauzalnog krvarenja, znak su da hitno trebate otići liječniku. Iako to nije stopostotni dokaz raka vrata maternice, to je jedan od ključnih simptoma koji sasvim sigurno treba istražiti.
Promjene u vaginalnom iscjetku
One uključuju gušći iscjedak od uobičajenog, promjene u boji ili mirisu iscjetka ili prisutnost krvi u iscjetku. Sve to su indikacije za ozbiljan razgovor s ginekologom. Te promjene mogu biti dobroćudne prirode, ali potrebno je to provjeriti što prije.
Bolan snošaj
Bilo kakva bol tijekom seksa razlog je da o tome porazgovarate s liječnikom.
- Ponekad jednostavne mjere, poput pojačanog korištenja lubrikanata, mogu pomoći, no ako bol ne prestaje trebali biste odmah porazgovarati o tome sa svojim ginekologom - upozorava dr. Unsworth, piše Živim .
Neobjašnjiva bol
Stalna bol u donjem dijelu leđa ili u zdjelici, što znači bol koja traje duže od dva do tri tjedna i nema nikakvog očitog uzroka, zahtijeva detaljniju obradu. Iako ne mora direktno upućivati na rak vrata maternice, otkrivanje uzroka koji leži u podlozi takve boli važno je zbog općeg stanja i zdravlja osobe, smatra dr. Unsworth.

Kad je riječ o određenim medicinskim simptomima ponekad može biti neugodno tražiti stručnu liječničku pomoć. Ipak, mislite li da nešto nije u redu, uvijek je najbolje to provjeriti. Upozoravajući simptomi raka vrata maternice, na primjer, mogu biti među takvim znakovima zbog kojih osjećate nelagodu pri pomisli na odlazak liječniku. No, kad je riječ o ova četiri simptoma, shvatite ih kao zvono za uzbunu i ni trenutak ne odgađajte odlazak ginekologu, upozorava ginekologinja dr. Susanna Unsworth.
Kao što sam naziv bolesti kaže, rak vrata maternice je rak koji započinje svoj razvoj u vratu maternice, otvoru između uterusa i vagine. Najčešće se javlja kod žena u dobi mlađoj od 45 godina, ali može se javiti u bilo kojoj dobi. Problem je što se simptomi lako mogu zamijeniti za one koji uobičajeno prate menstruaciju ili koji su karakteristični za, primjerice, endometriozu, piše Živim .
- Rak vrata maternice nastaje u cerviksu ili vratu maternice, donjem dijelu uterusa koji je povezan s vaginom i vrlo često je podmukao te ne daje nikakve simptome u ranoj fazi. Glavni uzrok je uporna infekcija humanim papiloma virusom (HPV), odnosno nekim od sojeva iz te uobičajene skupine virusa. Ono što doprinosi razvoju bolesti jest to što infekcija humanim papiloma virusom često prolazi neprimijećeno te su upravo zbog toga izuzetno važne redovite kontrole i probir. Većina infekcija HPV-om će proći sama od sebe, no određeni visoko rizični sojevi s vremenom mogu dovesti do razvoja raka - pojašnjava dr. Unsworth.

Simptomi
U najranijoj fazi rak vrata maternice često ne uzrokuje nikakve simptome, upozorava dr. Unsworth te dodaje da, kad se pojave, četiri ključna simptoma trebaju za ženu biti znak da se hitno javi svom liječniku jer rano otkrivanje bolesti donosi i veće šanse za izlječenje. Ističe i da se ti simptomi mogu pripisati i nekim drugim zdravstvenim problemima, no ipak ih obavezno treba provjeriti. Simptomi na koje morate obratiti posebnu pažnju su:
- promjene u vaginalnom krvarenju
- promjene u vaginalnom iscjetku
- bolan snošaj
- neobjašnjiva bol
Promjene u vaginalnom krvarenju
Prema dr. Unsworth, bilo kakve devijacije od uobičajenog obrasca menstrualnog krvarenja, poput krvarenja između dvije menstruacije, krvarenja nakon snošaja ili postmenopauzalnog krvarenja, znak su da hitno trebate otići liječniku. Iako to nije stopostotni dokaz raka vrata maternice, to je jedan od ključnih simptoma koji sasvim sigurno treba istražiti.
Promjene u vaginalnom iscjetku
One uključuju gušći iscjedak od uobičajenog, promjene u boji ili mirisu iscjetka ili prisutnost krvi u iscjetku. Sve to su indikacije za ozbiljan razgovor s ginekologom. Te promjene mogu biti dobroćudne prirode, ali potrebno je to provjeriti što prije.
Bolan snošaj
Bilo kakva bol tijekom seksa razlog je da o tome porazgovarate s liječnikom.
- Ponekad jednostavne mjere, poput pojačanog korištenja lubrikanata, mogu pomoći, no ako bol ne prestaje trebali biste odmah porazgovarati o tome sa svojim ginekologom - upozorava dr. Unsworth, piše Živim .
Neobjašnjiva bol
Stalna bol u donjem dijelu leđa ili u zdjelici, što znači bol koja traje duže od dva do tri tjedna i nema nikakvog očitog uzroka, zahtijeva detaljniju obradu. Iako ne mora direktno upućivati na rak vrata maternice, otkrivanje uzroka koji leži u podlozi takve boli važno je zbog općeg stanja i zdravlja osobe, smatra dr. Unsworth.
