Lijek hidroksiklorokin moguć je uzrok smrti gotovo 17.000 ljudi koji su ga uzimali tijekom prvog vala Covid-19, objavili su u novoj studiji francuski istraživači, piše Jutarnji list. 

Lijek protiv malarije koji u prevenciji koronavirusa koristio američki predsjednik Donald Trump, ordiniran je nekim pacijentima koji su bili hospitalizirani s Covidom-19 tijekom prvog vala pandemije, "unatoč nedostatku dokaza koji dokumentiraju njegove kliničke prednosti", istaknuli su istraživači u svom radu, objavljenom u časopisu Biomedicine. & farmakoterapija protekle veljače.

Sada su istraživači procijenili da je oko 16.990 ljudi u šest zemalja - Francuskoj, Belgiji, Italiji, Španjolskoj, Turskoj i SAD-u - možda umrlo nakon uzimanja navedenog lijeka.

Ta brojka proizlazi iz studije objavljene u znanstvenom časopisu Nature 2021. koja je izvijestila o 11-postotnom povećanju stope smrtnosti, povezanom s prepisivanjem hidroksiklorokina protiv Covid-19, zbog potencijalnih štetnih učinaka poput poremećaja srčanog ritma i njegove upotrebe umjesto drugih učinkovitih lijekova.

Istraživači sa sveučilišta u Lyonu u Francuskoj i Québecu u Kanadi analizirali su podatke o hospitalizaciji zbog Covida u svakoj od šest zemalja, izloženosti hidroksiklorokinu i povećanju relativnog rizika od smrti povezanog s tim lijekom.

Zaključili su da bi brojka mogla biti daleko veća s obzirom na to da se studija odnosi samo na šest zemalja od ožujka do srpnja 2020., kada je lijek prepisivan mnogo šire.

Hidroksiklorokin je dobio na važnosti dijelom zahvaljujući kontroverznom francuskom virologu Didieru Raoultu, a potražnja za hidroksiklorokinom jako je porasla i nakon što je tadašnji predsjednik SAD-a Donald Trump nahvalio taj antimalarik kao mogući lijek protiv koronavirusa i prozvao ga "čudesnim". "Što imate za izgubiti? Uzmite ga", govorio je prve pandemijske godine.

Američka agencija za hranu i lijekove (FDA) je za hidroksiklorokin izdala upozorenje.

Lijek hidroksiklorokin moguć je uzrok smrti gotovo 17.000 ljudi koji su ga uzimali tijekom prvog vala Covid-19, objavili su u novoj studiji francuski istraživači, piše Jutarnji list. 

Lijek protiv malarije koji u prevenciji koronavirusa koristio američki predsjednik Donald Trump, ordiniran je nekim pacijentima koji su bili hospitalizirani s Covidom-19 tijekom prvog vala pandemije, "unatoč nedostatku dokaza koji dokumentiraju njegove kliničke prednosti", istaknuli su istraživači u svom radu, objavljenom u časopisu Biomedicine. & farmakoterapija protekle veljače.

Sada su istraživači procijenili da je oko 16.990 ljudi u šest zemalja - Francuskoj, Belgiji, Italiji, Španjolskoj, Turskoj i SAD-u - možda umrlo nakon uzimanja navedenog lijeka.

Ta brojka proizlazi iz studije objavljene u znanstvenom časopisu Nature 2021. koja je izvijestila o 11-postotnom povećanju stope smrtnosti, povezanom s prepisivanjem hidroksiklorokina protiv Covid-19, zbog potencijalnih štetnih učinaka poput poremećaja srčanog ritma i njegove upotrebe umjesto drugih učinkovitih lijekova.

Istraživači sa sveučilišta u Lyonu u Francuskoj i Québecu u Kanadi analizirali su podatke o hospitalizaciji zbog Covida u svakoj od šest zemalja, izloženosti hidroksiklorokinu i povećanju relativnog rizika od smrti povezanog s tim lijekom.

Zaključili su da bi brojka mogla biti daleko veća s obzirom na to da se studija odnosi samo na šest zemalja od ožujka do srpnja 2020., kada je lijek prepisivan mnogo šire.

Lijek hidroksiklorokin moguć je uzrok smrti gotovo 17.000 ljudi koji su ga uzimali tijekom prvog vala Covid-19, objavili su u novoj studiji francuski istraživači, piše Jutarnji list. 

Lijek protiv malarije koji u prevenciji koronavirusa koristio američki predsjednik Donald Trump, ordiniran je nekim pacijentima koji su bili hospitalizirani s Covidom-19 tijekom prvog vala pandemije, "unatoč nedostatku dokaza koji dokumentiraju njegove kliničke prednosti", istaknuli su istraživači u svom radu, objavljenom u časopisu Biomedicine. & farmakoterapija protekle veljače.

Sada su istraživači procijenili da je oko 16.990 ljudi u šest zemalja - Francuskoj, Belgiji, Italiji, Španjolskoj, Turskoj i SAD-u - možda umrlo nakon uzimanja navedenog lijeka.

Ta brojka proizlazi iz studije objavljene u znanstvenom časopisu Nature 2021. koja je izvijestila o 11-postotnom povećanju stope smrtnosti, povezanom s prepisivanjem hidroksiklorokina protiv Covid-19, zbog potencijalnih štetnih učinaka poput poremećaja srčanog ritma i njegove upotrebe umjesto drugih učinkovitih lijekova.

Istraživači sa sveučilišta u Lyonu u Francuskoj i Québecu u Kanadi analizirali su podatke o hospitalizaciji zbog Covida u svakoj od šest zemalja, izloženosti hidroksiklorokinu i povećanju relativnog rizika od smrti povezanog s tim lijekom.

Zaključili su da bi brojka mogla biti daleko veća s obzirom na to da se studija odnosi samo na šest zemalja od ožujka do srpnja 2020., kada je lijek prepisivan mnogo šire.
