Najmoćniji par glazbene industrije kuću vrijednu 200 milijuna dolara. Beyoncé i Jay-Z kupili su najskuplju kuću u povijesti Kalifornije i drugu najskuplju u povijesti te zemlje. Prvi je penthouse u New Yorku kupljen za 238 milijuna dolara.

Nova kuća slavnoga para nalazi se u Malibuu i ima površinu od 3000 m². Iako je cijena vrlo visoka, očekuje se da će njegova kupnja donositi 11 milijuna dolara svake godine državi Kaliforniji. Zahvaljujući ovom porezu, taj će se novac koristiti za pristupačne programe stanovanja i beskućnika u regiji.

Kupovina nije preskupa za par, budući da bi Beyoncé zahvaljujući svojoj turneji “Renaissance” trebala postati milijarderka. Oglašena cijena bila je znatno viša, kretala se oko 295 milijuna dolara. Beyonce i suprug uspjeli su spustiti cijenu te su prošli jeftinije.

Kuću je inače naručio poznati kolekcionar umjetnina William Bell, a samo imanje je platio 14.5 milijuna. Kuća se gradila čak 15 godina. Kuću, sagrađenu s visokim betonskim zidovima s puno prostora, dizajnirao je japanski arhitekt Tadao Ando, koji također radi na kući Kanyea Westa u Malibuu.
