Na ulicama Madrida umjesto uobičajene vreve i automobilskih sirena moglo čuti meketanje ovaca, zvuk zvonaca i glasovi pastira koji su svoja stada vodili gradskim središtem, prateći drevne staze kojima su se životinje stoljećima kretale do južnih pašnjaka. Ovaj je običaj ponovno oživljen 1994. u sklopu proslave madridske Fieste de la Trashumancia, kada je životinjama i pastirima omogućeno kretanje tradicionalnim rutama, koje je priznao i španjolski parlament.

Stada se kreću iz smjera sjeverne Španjolske prema južnim pašnjacima koja im služe za zimsku ispašu. Prije više stotina godina taj je pravac prolazio kroz netaknutu prirodu, ali su u međuvremenu na tim mjestima niknuli gradovi, među kojima je i glavni grad Španjolske. Pretprošle je godine, zbog pandemije šetnja ovčica bila otkazana. Nakon prolaska tihim krajolicima u nedjelju su pastiri, mnogi odjeveni u tradicionalne narodne nošnje, morali proći kroz najprometnije dijelove grada, poput jednog od glavnih madridskih trgova, Puertu del Sol. Mještani i turisti stajali su duž puta, fotografirajući ovce i živopisno odjevene pastire. Djeca i odrasli, koji su navikli na prometnu vrevu na gradskim ulicama, uživali su jer su se mogli približiti životinjama.

Na ulicama Madrida umjesto uobičajene vreve i automobilskih sirena moglo čuti meketanje ovaca, zvuk zvonaca i glasovi pastira koji su svoja stada vodili gradskim središtem, prateći drevne staze kojima su se životinje stoljećima kretale do južnih pašnjaka. Ovaj je običaj ponovno oživljen 1994. u sklopu proslave madridske Fieste de la Trashumancia, kada je životinjama i pastirima omogućeno kretanje tradicionalnim rutama, koje je priznao i španjolski parlament.

Stada se kreću iz smjera sjeverne Španjolske prema južnim pašnjacima koja im služe za zimsku ispašu. Prije više stotina godina taj je pravac prolazio kroz netaknutu prirodu, ali su u međuvremenu na tim mjestima niknuli gradovi, među kojima je i glavni grad Španjolske. Pretprošle je godine, zbog pandemije šetnja ovčica bila otkazana. Nakon prolaska tihim krajolicima u nedjelju su pastiri, mnogi odjeveni u tradicionalne narodne nošnje, morali proći kroz najprometnije dijelove grada, poput jednog od glavnih madridskih trgova, Puertu del Sol. Mještani i turisti stajali su duž puta, fotografirajući ovce i živopisno odjevene pastire. Djeca i odrasli, koji su navikli na prometnu vrevu na gradskim ulicama, uživali su jer su se mogli približiti životinjama.
