WhatsApp je najpopularnija aplikacija za dopisivanje kojom se svakodnevno služi veliki broj ljudi. Kao takva logično je na meti prevaranata koji se pokušavaju domoći novca.
Trenutno je aktualna prijevara s porukom koju nam šalju naši najbliži, prijatelji ili obitelj. Tko na nju nasjedne, ostat će bez traženoga iznosa novca.
Žrtve pomisle da im poruku šalje bliska osoba, a zatim se od njih traži veći iznos da bi se riješila neka hitna situacija koja zapravo ni ne postoji. Posebno povećanje takvih poruka zabilježeno je ovaj mjesec. Samo početkom studenoga ove godine zabilježeno je više od 200 ovakvih prevara koji su žrtve ukupno koštale više od 600.000 dolara. Što je još gore, žrtve nisu odmah ni svjesne da su prevarene, nego to zaključe tek nekoliko tjedana ili mjeseci kasnije, piše Makeuseof, prenosi N1 Hrvatska.
Evo kako prijevara funkcionira: Prevarant najprije postavi postavi lažni oglas za web stranicu WhatsApp Web, koji se ponekad pojavi čak i na vrhu liste rezultata.

Ako se klikne na taj lažni WhatsApp, ponudit će se opcija za skeniranje QR koda, kao i kod autentične web stranice. Kada se skenira taj lažni QR kod, prevaranti dobiju pristup vašem WhatsApp računu. Prevaranti tada počnu slati poruke članovima obitelji i prijateljima žrtve uz uvjerljivu priču o nekoj hitnoj situaciji – pljački, hitnoj medicinskoj pomoći i slično – kako bi drugu stranu motivirali da bez previše razmišljanja uplate veći iznos. Novac ide na račun prevaranta.
Najsigurniji način za izbjegavanje ove prevare jest da na Googleu uopće ne pretražujete WhatsApp Web. Puno sigurnije je da izravno odete na web.whatsapp.com i prijavite se na svoj račun.
Preko Googlea pretraživanja WhatsApp Weba, treba izbjegavati one rezultate kod kojih piše "oglas" i uvijek obratiti pažnju na URL rezultata pretraživanja, piše N1 Hrvatska.
Oprez je ovdje zaista potreban jer je dovoljan trenutak nepažnje i nepromišljenosti da se ostane bez znatne svote novca.

WhatsApp je najpopularnija aplikacija za dopisivanje kojom se svakodnevno služi veliki broj ljudi. Kao takva logično je na meti prevaranata koji se pokušavaju domoći novca.
Trenutno je aktualna prijevara s porukom koju nam šalju naši najbliži, prijatelji ili obitelj. Tko na nju nasjedne, ostat će bez traženoga iznosa novca.
Žrtve pomisle da im poruku šalje bliska osoba, a zatim se od njih traži veći iznos da bi se riješila neka hitna situacija koja zapravo ni ne postoji. Posebno povećanje takvih poruka zabilježeno je ovaj mjesec. Samo početkom studenoga ove godine zabilježeno je više od 200 ovakvih prevara koji su žrtve ukupno koštale više od 600.000 dolara. Što je još gore, žrtve nisu odmah ni svjesne da su prevarene, nego to zaključe tek nekoliko tjedana ili mjeseci kasnije, piše Makeuseof, prenosi N1 Hrvatska.
Evo kako prijevara funkcionira: Prevarant najprije postavi postavi lažni oglas za web stranicu WhatsApp Web, koji se ponekad pojavi čak i na vrhu liste rezultata.

Ako se klikne na taj lažni WhatsApp, ponudit će se opcija za skeniranje QR koda, kao i kod autentične web stranice. Kada se skenira taj lažni QR kod, prevaranti dobiju pristup vašem WhatsApp računu. Prevaranti tada počnu slati poruke članovima obitelji i prijateljima žrtve uz uvjerljivu priču o nekoj hitnoj situaciji – pljački, hitnoj medicinskoj pomoći i slično – kako bi drugu stranu motivirali da bez previše razmišljanja uplate veći iznos. Novac ide na račun prevaranta.
Najsigurniji način za izbjegavanje ove prevare jest da na Googleu uopće ne pretražujete WhatsApp Web. Puno sigurnije je da izravno odete na web.whatsapp.com i prijavite se na svoj račun.
Preko Googlea pretraživanja WhatsApp Weba, treba izbjegavati one rezultate kod kojih piše "oglas" i uvijek obratiti pažnju na URL rezultata pretraživanja, piše N1 Hrvatska.
Oprez je ovdje zaista potreban jer je dovoljan trenutak nepažnje i nepromišljenosti da se ostane bez znatne svote novca.
