Mnogi smatraju da je ovo jedno od najbrutalnijih smaknuća za počinitelje zločina, koje nije bilo namijenjeno samo kažnjavanju u ovom nego i u budućem životu.

Linč ili u prijevodu s kineskog "smrt od tisuću posjekotina" prakticirao se kao metoda pogubljenja od oko 900. godine do 1905. godine, kada je službeno zabranjen. Cijelo tisućljeće počinitelji najtežih zločina poput veleizdaje ili ubojstva roditelja podvrgavani su ovakvoj vrsti kazne samo s jednim ciljem - polako i bolno umrijeti, piše National Geographic.

Mnogi smatraju da je ovo jedno od najbrutalnijih smaknuća za počinitelje zločina, koje nije bilo namijenjeno samo kažnjavanju u ovom nego i u budućem životu.

Linč ili u prijevodu s kineskog "smrt od tisuću posjekotina" prakticirao se kao metoda pogubljenja od oko 900. godine do 1905. godine, kada je službeno zabranjen. Cijelo tisućljeće počinitelji najtežih zločina poput veleizdaje ili ubojstva roditelja podvrgavani su ovakvoj vrsti kazne samo s jednim ciljem - polako i bolno umrijeti, piše National Geographic.

Dugotrajan i vrlo brutalan proces provodio je posebno obučeni krvnik koji je počiniteljima zločina prije smrti ili gubitka svijesti zadavao što više posjekotina. Ova drevna kineska metoda mučenja stoga se smatra jednom od najokrutnijih i najokrutnijih metoda koje je čovječanstvo osmislilo.

Podrijetlo same metode je nepoznato, međutim, postupak nije bio kompliciran za izvođenje; bila je potrebna drvena motka, osuđenik i dželat s oštrim predmetom koji je sloj po sloj uklanjao sa žrtve.
