Usprkos tome što u većini gradova živi veliki broj golubova, ljudi izuzetno rijetko imaju priliku vidjeti njihove ptiće. Portal B92 prenosi odgovor na pitanje zašto je to tako.

Naime, u gradovima žive nepripitomljeni golubovi (Columba livia domestica), koji potječu od divljih golubica koje se gnijezde i razmnožavaju na planinama i planinskim obroncima Europe, sjeverne Afrike i zapadne Azije.

Iako danas žive u gradovima i jedu ostatke hrane na ulicama, i dalje preferiraju graditi vlastita gnijezda na visokim i oštrim rubovima i rupama na zgradama.

- Mlade golubova možete vidjeti samo ako pronađete njihovo gnijezdo. U trenutku kad ga napuste, već su vrlo veliki i sliče na odrasle ptice - kaže Deborah Krinsky, biologinja njujorškog Društva za zaštitu i očuvanje ptica.

Mladunčad golubova napušta gnijezdo s 25 do 32 dana starosti. Ako ih u tom periodu ne primijetite u gnijezdu, malo je vjerojatno da ćete ih uopće vidjeti.

- Golubovi se rađaju 'goli' i njihovo perje treba porasti prije nego što napuste gnijezdo. Oni ostaju u gnijezdu sve dok ne nauče letjeti - rekao je Martin Foley iz Kraljevske udruge za zaštitu ptica (RSPB).

Ako vidite ptića goluba izvan gnijezda, to znači da nešto nije u redu.

- Mladi često ispadnu iz gnijezda prije nego što porastu dovoljno da mogu poletjeti i da se brinu sami o sebi. U tom slučaju treba ih vratiti u gnijezdo ili im napraviti improvizirano novo gnijezdo, a najbolje je pozvati stručnjake za divlje životinje - rekla je Krinsky.

Usprkos tome što u većini gradova živi veliki broj golubova, ljudi izuzetno rijetko imaju priliku vidjeti njihove ptiće. Portal B92 prenosi odgovor na pitanje zašto je to tako.

Naime, u gradovima žive nepripitomljeni golubovi (Columba livia domestica), koji potječu od divljih golubica koje se gnijezde i razmnožavaju na planinama i planinskim obroncima Europe, sjeverne Afrike i zapadne Azije.

Iako danas žive u gradovima i jedu ostatke hrane na ulicama, i dalje preferiraju graditi vlastita gnijezda na visokim i oštrim rubovima i rupama na zgradama.

Mladunčad golubova napušta gnijezdo s 25 do 32 dana starosti. Ako ih u tom periodu ne primijetite u gnijezdu, malo je vjerojatno da ćete ih uopće vidjeti.

- Golubovi se rađaju 'goli' i njihovo perje treba porasti prije nego što napuste gnijezdo. Oni ostaju u gnijezdu sve dok ne nauče letjeti - rekao je Martin Foley iz Kraljevske udruge za zaštitu ptica (RSPB).

Ako vidite ptića goluba izvan gnijezda, to znači da nešto nije u redu.

- Mladi često ispadnu iz gnijezda prije nego što porastu dovoljno da mogu poletjeti i da se brinu sami o sebi. U tom slučaju treba ih vratiti u gnijezdo ili im napraviti improvizirano novo gnijezdo, a najbolje je pozvati stručnjake za divlje životinje - rekla je Krinsky.

Usprkos tome što u većini gradova živi veliki broj golubova, ljudi izuzetno rijetko imaju priliku vidjeti njihove ptiće. Portal B92 prenosi odgovor na pitanje zašto je to tako.

Naime, u gradovima žive nepripitomljeni golubovi (Columba livia domestica), koji potječu od divljih golubica koje se gnijezde i razmnožavaju na planinama i planinskim obroncima Europe, sjeverne Afrike i zapadne Azije.

Iako danas žive u gradovima i jedu ostatke hrane na ulicama, i dalje preferiraju graditi vlastita gnijezda na visokim i oštrim rubovima i rupama na zgradama.

- Mlade golubova možete vidjeti samo ako pronađete njihovo gnijezdo. U trenutku kad ga napuste, već su vrlo veliki i sliče na odrasle ptice - kaže Deborah Krinsky, biologinja njujorškog Društva za zaštitu i očuvanje ptica.
