Crkva Isusa Krista svetaca posljednjih dana (LDS) našla se na udaru kritika jer je sliku Sveta noć talijanskog slikara Carla Maratte iz 1650-ih godina izmijenila tako što je Bogorodici pokrila dekolte i uklonila tri anđela koji se nalaze odmah do nje, piše Daily Mail.

Mormonska je crkva na svoju je službenu internetsku stranicu učitala 18 slika koje za temu imaju rođenje Isusa Krista te svoje članove potaknula da ih preuzmu. Među tim se slikama našla i izmijenjena Sveta noć Carla Maratte. U originalu, Marija ima diskretan i jedva vidljiv dekolte, a oko nje su tri anđela koji gledaju Spasitelja, prenosi Jutarnji.

Izmijenjena je Sveta noć u međuvremenu uklonjena sa stranice LDS-a.

Prema pisanju Salt Lake Tribunea, LDS je Svetu noć izmijenio još 2016. godine, a izmjene su uočene tek ove godine.

Kolumnist Salt Lake Tribunea Gordon Monson ustvrdio je da LDS time šalje poruku da se žene trebaju sramiti svoga tijela.

- Shvaćamo. Crkva zagovara skromnost. Međutim, to će joj inzistiranje na pokrivanju obit o glavu. Nanose štetu ženama i njihovom samopouzdanju, a tretiraju ih i kao predmete ili, još gore, imovinu - ustvrdio je Monson.

- Nema ništa loše u poštivanju žena, u skromnosti. Međutim, kakvu poruku šaljete kada Bogorodicu obučete u majicu, i to na umjetničkom djelu. Samo usmjeravate pažnju na formu, seksualizirate je, čak i kada se radi o nevinom prizoru - dodao je kolumnist te rekao da će je šteta koju je Crkva prouzročila veća od koristi.

Mormonska je crkva i prije mijenjala umjetnička djela kako bi ih prilagodila svojoj doktrini.

LDS je tako jednom cenzurirao genitalije na slikici Djetešca Isusa koja se pojavila na videozidu tijekom jednog koncerta čiji je videozapis objavio na vlastitom YouTube kanalu, a sliku Uskrsnuće Carla Blocha promijenio je tako što je anđelima koji kleče pored netom uskrsnulog Krista "odrezao" krila i pokrio ramena.

Crkva Isusa Krista svetaca posljednjih dana (LDS) našla se na udaru kritika jer je sliku Sveta noć talijanskog slikara Carla Maratte iz 1650-ih godina izmijenila tako što je Bogorodici pokrila dekolte i uklonila tri anđela koji se nalaze odmah do nje, piše Daily Mail.

Mormonska je crkva na svoju je službenu internetsku stranicu učitala 18 slika koje za temu imaju rođenje Isusa Krista te svoje članove potaknula da ih preuzmu. Među tim se slikama našla i izmijenjena Sveta noć Carla Maratte. U originalu, Marija ima diskretan i jedva vidljiv dekolte, a oko nje su tri anđela koji gledaju Spasitelja, prenosi Jutarnji.

Izmijenjena je Sveta noć u međuvremenu uklonjena sa stranice LDS-a.

Prema pisanju Salt Lake Tribunea, LDS je Svetu noć izmijenio još 2016. godine, a izmjene su uočene tek ove godine.

Kolumnist Salt Lake Tribunea Gordon Monson ustvrdio je da LDS time šalje poruku da se žene trebaju sramiti svoga tijela.

- Shvaćamo. Crkva zagovara skromnost. Međutim, to će joj inzistiranje na pokrivanju obit o glavu. Nanose štetu ženama i njihovom samopouzdanju, a tretiraju ih i kao predmete ili, još gore, imovinu - ustvrdio je Monson.

- Nema ništa loše u poštivanju žena, u skromnosti. Međutim, kakvu poruku šaljete kada Bogorodicu obučete u majicu, i to na umjetničkom djelu. Samo usmjeravate pažnju na formu, seksualizirate je, čak i kada se radi o nevinom prizoru - dodao je kolumnist te rekao da će je šteta koju je Crkva prouzročila veća od koristi.

Mormonska je crkva i prije mijenjala umjetnička djela kako bi ih prilagodila svojoj doktrini.

LDS je tako jednom cenzurirao genitalije na slikici Djetešca Isusa koja se pojavila na videozidu tijekom jednog koncerta čiji je videozapis objavio na vlastitom YouTube kanalu, a sliku Uskrsnuće Carla Blocha promijenio je tako što je anđelima koji kleče pored netom uskrsnulog Krista "odrezao" krila i pokrio ramena.
