U ovom trenutku od početka pandemije u Tanzaniji je zabilježeno svega 509 slučaja zaraze koronavirusom, a broj smrtnih slučajeva u ovoj afričkoj državi koja ima gotovo 60 milijuna stanovnika je 21.

Jedno od popularnih turističkih odredišta u zemlji je Zanzibar, rodni otok legendarnog pjevača Queena, Freddyja Mercuryja.

Sa svojom tropskom klimom, bogatom poviješću i prekrasnim pješćanim plažama pravi je mamac za istinske putoholičare ali i istinski raj za ronioce, budući da se može pohvaliti i nevjerojatnim podmorskim ljepotama.

Tu je naravno i nezaobilazni glavni grad Stone Town, u kojem ćete se izgubiti kroz uske, zavijene uličice pune minareta i građevina iz 19. stoljeća. Nedavno je upravo njima prolazio i beogradski fotograf Strahinja Petrović, koji je odlučio putovati u Zanzibar unatoč tome što koronavirus hara svijetom.

Samo 50 američkih dolara za vizu 

- Po slijetanju na aerodrom, odmah se osjeti drugačija klima i ugledate gusto raspoređene palme. Policajci na pasoškoj kontroli su vedri, nasmijani i djeluju sretno. Mjeri se temperatura, a zemlja je "korona free", govori nam Strahinja.

Za ulaz u zemlju ne treba neka posebna procedura. Dakle, ne morate 72 sata prije puta raditi test na koronu i na granici pokazati negativan rezultat, kao što to u ovom trenutku traži većina zemalja.

Nije se potrebno ni cijepiti protiv žute groznice, osim ako kasnije nećete nastaviti svoje putovanje unutar Tanzanije. Od vas će se tek tražiti da platite 50 američkih dolara za vizu kako biste mogli ući u zemlju.

- Ostao sam deset dana, a kao neko tko voli upoznavati kulturu i ljude na putovanjima, fokus mi je bio isključivo na tome, ne da ležim na plažama koje su stvarno lijepe kao na fotografijama i tamo ispijam pivo ili koktele.

Lokalna škola

Najjači utisak ostavio je posjet lokalnoj školi u mjestu Paje. Uvjeti pod kojima se ova djeca školuju su najblače rečeno jezivi.

Imaju najosnovnije stvari za nastavu, ali ono najvažnije – osmijeh ne skidaju s lica! Svi nose uniforme, jednaki su po materijalnom siromaštvu, a bogati po pozitivnom duhu koje svako dijete nosi u sebi, kaže fotograf.

- U Stone Townu su zbog covida-19 mnogi ljudi ostali bez posla, nema turista, nema novca... Zemlja koja je već jako siromašna postaje još siromašnija i za to malo turista koji im donese kakav takav prihod.

Mnogi od njih doslovno će vas hvatati za rukav i moliti milostinju za obitelj i sebe. Stanovništvo Zanzibara čine 98 posto muslimani i dva posto kršćani. Mnogi lokalci su nam rekli da ta statistika nije točna i da kršćana ima mnogo više.

Čuvari iz plemena Masai

Svaki resort ima svog čuvara koji su uglavnom iz Masai plemena, nomadskog naroda poznatih kao gorljivih ratnika. Prepoznat ćete ih po crvenoj odjeći koju nose, zovu je šuka. Crvena simbolizira njihovu kulturu i plaši lavove.

Od oružja nose samo koplje i mačetu. Masai pleme je posebno i po svom plesu, gdje se muškarci skupljaju u krug, viču i skaču, a vjeruje se kako je onaj tko najviše skoči u vis najprivlačniji, odnosno da može privući najbolju i najljepšu ženu.

Da bi stupile u brak s nekim iz plemena, moraju napraviti obiteljsku kuću od blata koja traje svega par mjeseci. Muškarac mora ubiti lava da bi se oženio. Jedan momak iz Masai plemena pričao mi je da ima djevojku, ali da se ne može oženiti jer mu je žao usmrtiti lava, otkrio nam je Strahinja.

U ovom trenutku od početka pandemije u Tanzaniji je zabilježeno svega 509 slučaja zaraze koronavirusom, a broj smrtnih slučajeva u ovoj afričkoj državi koja ima gotovo 60 milijuna stanovnika je 21.

Jedno od popularnih turističkih odredišta u zemlji je Zanzibar, rodni otok legendarnog pjevača Queena, Freddyja Mercuryja.

Sa svojom tropskom klimom, bogatom poviješću i prekrasnim pješćanim plažama pravi je mamac za istinske putoholičare ali i istinski raj za ronioce, budući da se može pohvaliti i nevjerojatnim podmorskim ljepotama.

Tu je naravno i nezaobilazni glavni grad Stone Town, u kojem ćete se izgubiti kroz uske, zavijene uličice pune minareta i građevina iz 19. stoljeća. Nedavno je upravo njima prolazio i beogradski fotograf Strahinja Petrović, koji je odlučio putovati u Zanzibar unatoč tome što koronavirus hara svijetom.

Samo 50 američkih dolara za vizu 

- Po slijetanju na aerodrom, odmah se osjeti drugačija klima i ugledate gusto raspoređene palme. Policajci na pasoškoj kontroli su vedri, nasmijani i djeluju sretno. Mjeri se temperatura, a zemlja je "korona free", govori nam Strahinja.

Za ulaz u zemlju ne treba neka posebna procedura. Dakle, ne morate 72 sata prije puta raditi test na koronu i na granici pokazati negativan rezultat, kao što to u ovom trenutku traži većina zemalja.

Nije se potrebno ni cijepiti protiv žute groznice, osim ako kasnije nećete nastaviti svoje putovanje unutar Tanzanije. Od vas će se tek tražiti da platite 50 američkih dolara za vizu kako biste mogli ući u zemlju.

- Ostao sam deset dana, a kao neko tko voli upoznavati kulturu i ljude na putovanjima, fokus mi je bio isključivo na tome, ne da ležim na plažama koje su stvarno lijepe kao na fotografijama i tamo ispijam pivo ili koktele.

Lokalna škola

Najjači utisak ostavio je posjet lokalnoj školi u mjestu Paje. Uvjeti pod kojima se ova djeca školuju su najblače rečeno jezivi.

Imaju najosnovnije stvari za nastavu, ali ono najvažnije – osmijeh ne skidaju s lica! Svi nose uniforme, jednaki su po materijalnom siromaštvu, a bogati po pozitivnom duhu koje svako dijete nosi u sebi, kaže fotograf.

- U Stone Townu su zbog covida-19 mnogi ljudi ostali bez posla, nema turista, nema novca... Zemlja koja je već jako siromašna postaje još siromašnija i za to malo turista koji im donese kakav takav prihod.

Mnogi od njih doslovno će vas hvatati za rukav i moliti milostinju za obitelj i sebe. Stanovništvo Zanzibara čine 98 posto muslimani i dva posto kršćani. Mnogi lokalci su nam rekli da ta statistika nije točna i da kršćana ima mnogo više.

Čuvari iz plemena Masai

Svaki resort ima svog čuvara koji su uglavnom iz Masai plemena, nomadskog naroda poznatih kao gorljivih ratnika. Prepoznat ćete ih po crvenoj odjeći koju nose, zovu je šuka. Crvena simbolizira njihovu kulturu i plaši lavove.

Od oružja nose samo koplje i mačetu. Masai pleme je posebno i po svom plesu, gdje se muškarci skupljaju u krug, viču i skaču, a vjeruje se kako je onaj tko najviše skoči u vis najprivlačniji, odnosno da može privući najbolju i najljepšu ženu.

Da bi stupile u brak s nekim iz plemena, moraju napraviti obiteljsku kuću od blata koja traje svega par mjeseci. Muškarac mora ubiti lava da bi se oženio. Jedan momak iz Masai plemena pričao mi je da ima djevojku, ali da se ne može oženiti jer mu je žao usmrtiti lava, otkrio nam je Strahinja.
