Uoči 52. “Goranova proljeća”, najstarije i najveće pjesničke manifestacije koja se u spomen na velikog pjesnika Ivana Gorana Kovačića održava 21. ožujka u rodnom mu Lukovdolu, objavljeni su i laureati ovogodišnje smotre: dobitnik “Goranova vijenca” je Mario Suško, a nagradu “Goran za mlade pjesnike” osvojio je Goran Čolakhodžić.
Mario Suško, pjesnik, esejist i prevodilac, te dopisni član HAZU, rođen je 1941. u Sarajevu, gdje je diplomirao engleski jezik i književnost te filozofiju. Kao Fulbrightov stipendist magistrirao je američku književnost na SUNY Stony Brook, gdje je doktorirao.
Na SUNY Nassau Com. Collegeu u Garden Cityju, New York, od 1993. kao redovni profesor predaje književnost i jezikoslovlje. Objavio je 17 knjiga poezije te više knjiga iznimnih prijevoda s engleskog jezika.
Antologije i nagrade
Poezija mu je tiskana u antologijama i časopisima u Hrvatskoj, SAD-u, Velikoj Britaniji, Švedskoj, Nizozemskoj, Indiji, Irskoj, Mađarskoj, Austriji i Italiji. Četverostruki je kandidat za Pushcartovu nagradu, finalist za Forwardovu nagradu za najbolju pojedinačnu pjesmu objelodanjenu u Engleskoj 2004., te još niza nagrada: lista “Telegram” za poeziju, “Fonda A. B. Šimić” za ogled, Savjeta Europe za književne prevoditelje, časopisa Nassau Review za najbolju tiskanu pjesmu, “Tin Ujević” za knjigu pjesama “Versus Exsul”…
Suško je 2012. proglašen Longislandskim pjesnikom godine, a od 2013.-2015. imenovan pjesnikom laureatom Nassauske županije.
- “Goranov vijenac” priznanje je za ukupan prinos suvremenoj hrvatskoj poeziji, a dodjeljivanjem Mariju Sušku to se priznanje vjerojatno najviše približilo poetskim polazištima iz kojih je ono i pokrenuto - Suškova poezija svjedoči o onome “poslije”, o životu, ali i o smrti koja nije dio prirodnog slijeda - smatra

Irenu Matijašević, Miroslava Kirina, Tomicu Bajsića i Delimira Rešickog član prosudbene komisije.
Dobitnik “Gorana za mlade pjesnike” Goran Čolakhodžić rođen je 1990. u Zagrebu, a živi u Samoboru. Na Filozofskom fakultetu u Zagrebu završava studije anglistike i rumunjskog jezika i književnosti. Prevodi s rumunjskog i na rumunjski.
Osim što bi mu nekoliko pjesama trebalo biti uključeno u prvi ovogodišnji broj časopisa Poezija, dosad nije objavljivao.
Prosudbena komisija u sastavu
Davor Ivankovac, Dorta Jagić i Marko Pogačar odlučila je da između 71 ovogodišnjeg pristiglog rada nagradu dobije Čolakhodžić za pjesnički rukopis “Na kraju taj vrt” kao “primjer uspjele konstrukcije subjekta kao protagonista lirske radnje i samih poprišta zbivanja, koja su dosljedno provedena kroz brižljivo oblikovani koncept, te imenovana kao vrt, voćnjak, šuma i grad“, smatra Davor Ivankovac.

Uoči 52. “Goranova proljeća”, najstarije i najveće pjesničke manifestacije koja se u spomen na velikog pjesnika Ivana Gorana Kovačića održava 21. ožujka u rodnom mu Lukovdolu, objavljeni su i laureati ovogodišnje smotre: dobitnik “Goranova vijenca” je Mario Suško, a nagradu “Goran za mlade pjesnike” osvojio je Goran Čolakhodžić.
Mario Suško, pjesnik, esejist i prevodilac, te dopisni član HAZU, rođen je 1941. u Sarajevu, gdje je diplomirao engleski jezik i književnost te filozofiju. Kao Fulbrightov stipendist magistrirao je američku književnost na SUNY Stony Brook, gdje je doktorirao.
Na SUNY Nassau Com. Collegeu u Garden Cityju, New York, od 1993. kao redovni profesor predaje književnost i jezikoslovlje. Objavio je 17 knjiga poezije te više knjiga iznimnih prijevoda s engleskog jezika.
Antologije i nagrade
Poezija mu je tiskana u antologijama i časopisima u Hrvatskoj, SAD-u, Velikoj Britaniji, Švedskoj, Nizozemskoj, Indiji, Irskoj, Mađarskoj, Austriji i Italiji. Četverostruki je kandidat za Pushcartovu nagradu, finalist za Forwardovu nagradu za najbolju pojedinačnu pjesmu objelodanjenu u Engleskoj 2004., te još niza nagrada: lista “Telegram” za poeziju, “Fonda A. B. Šimić” za ogled, Savjeta Europe za književne prevoditelje, časopisa Nassau Review za najbolju tiskanu pjesmu, “Tin Ujević” za knjigu pjesama “Versus Exsul”…
Suško je 2012. proglašen Longislandskim pjesnikom godine, a od 2013.-2015. imenovan pjesnikom laureatom Nassauske županije.
- “Goranov vijenac” priznanje je za ukupan prinos suvremenoj hrvatskoj poeziji, a dodjeljivanjem Mariju Sušku to se priznanje vjerojatno najviše približilo poetskim polazištima iz kojih je ono i pokrenuto - Suškova poezija svjedoči o onome “poslije”, o životu, ali i o smrti koja nije dio prirodnog slijeda - smatra
Branko Čegec, uz
Irenu Matijašević, Miroslava Kirina, Tomicu Bajsića i Delimira Rešickog član prosudbene komisije.
Dobitnik “Gorana za mlade pjesnike” Goran Čolakhodžić rođen je 1990. u Zagrebu, a živi u Samoboru. Na Filozofskom fakultetu u Zagrebu završava studije anglistike i rumunjskog jezika i književnosti. Prevodi s rumunjskog i na rumunjski.
Osim što bi mu nekoliko pjesama trebalo biti uključeno u prvi ovogodišnji broj časopisa Poezija, dosad nije objavljivao.
Prosudbena komisija u sastavu
Davor Ivankovac, Dorta Jagić i Marko Pogačar odlučila je da između 71 ovogodišnjeg pristiglog rada nagradu dobije Čolakhodžić za pjesnički rukopis “Na kraju taj vrt” kao “primjer uspjele konstrukcije subjekta kao protagonista lirske radnje i samih poprišta zbivanja, koja su dosljedno provedena kroz brižljivo oblikovani koncept, te imenovana kao vrt, voćnjak, šuma i grad“, smatra Davor Ivankovac.
