U sklopu ciklusa suvremenoga britanskoga filmskog klasika Mikea Leigha, na HTV-u 3 u četvrtak navečer je film "Sve ili ništa".

Film iz 2002. o trgovkinji koja čvrsto stoji na zemlji i njezinu ne tako čvrstom mužu taksistu, njihovim sinu i kćeri, koji se također gube u bespućima odrastanja, nije dvosatni komad veselja i optimizma, iako nosi optimističnu poruku koja bi mogla spriječiti besanu noć u četvrtak iza ponoći. Uloga Leighova važnoga glumca Timothyja Spalla (igra i u "Život je sladak" i u "Tajnama i lažima") i drugih vrijedna je pažnje, a film je imao i nekoliko važnih europskih nominacija.

Mike Leigh (1943.) je redatelj koji sam piše scenarije svojih filmova, mahom smještenih u britansko radništvo, u kojima u gemišt omjeru 2 u 3 miješa trpkost života i minerale humora i vedrine. Za ljubitelje drame, realiteta i za one koji imaju petlju uroniti u stvarnost, filmovi izbrušenoga scenarija i odlične glume prava su poslastica. Oni koji više vole izmaštane svjetove, krv, znoj i akciju, na izbor imaju hrpu sadržaja i u osnovnim TV paketima i na stream servisima. Na takvim sadržajima odgojenoj publici filmovi Mikea Leigha mogu teže pasti.

ODLIČNA IMELDA

Film koji će se moći vidjeti idući četvrtak je "Vera Drake" iz 2004. godine, s odličnom Imeldom Staunton u glavnoj ulozi, prati londonsku kućnu pomoćnicu iz 1950-ih koja drži sve konce posla i kuće, a još ima energije za dobro raspoloženje i pomaganje drugima. Pa i besplatnim ilegalnim pobačajima po kućama, no jednoga dana pobačaj krene po zlu, pa sudske institucije počinju raditi svoj posao. Film je bio proglašen filmom godine u Velikoj Britaniji, a Leigh i Staunton nagrađeni su u Veneciji. Film je bio nominiran za Oscara, koji je Leighu redovito izmicao, ali to je veći problem za Američku filmsku akademiju nego za britanskoga redatelja. Zanimljivo je da je film odbio Canneski festival, koji je Leigha prije nagrađivao.

Nagradu za najboljega redatelja u Cannesu Leigh je dobio za režiju filma "Razgolićeni" iz 1993., a David Thewlis za najboljega glumca, a odlična je i Leighova česta glumica Katrin Cartlidge. Taj najmračniji i najnasilniji redateljev film, koji sam imao nesreću gledati u Splitu 1994., također prepunom droge, nasilja i izgubljenih ljudi, na HTV-u je igrao 20. ožujka i još uvijek je jednako težak. Ali vrijedan gledanja.

U ciklusu je 1. travnja prikazan i najpoznatiji Leighov film "Tajne i laži" iz 1996., nagrađen "Zlatnom palmom" i nizom važnih nagrada. Film o potrazi mlade crne žene za biološkom majkom, koju je izvanredno odigrala Brenda Blethyn, otkriva obiteljska prikrivanja i nesporazume, dirajući najtanje žice ljudskih i obiteljskih odnosa. Kao i za druge Leighove filmove, a za ovaj posebno, vrijedi uložiti sav trud i snalažljivost da ga se vrati na tražilici, nađe na snimalici, da se piše HTV-u da ga se pogleda.

Među filmovima u ciklusu koji su nas bacili s kauča i doveli do suza jesu i "Život je sladak" iz 1990. o euforičnoj majci i pasivnome ocu te njihovim blizankama, od kojih se jedna bori s bulimijom, a sve uz inteligentan humor. "Karijeristice" iz 1997., možda najbolji film o cimerstvu i prijateljstvu, koji pokazuje kako iz studentskih sobica od psihološki i socijalno ugroženih djevojaka izlaze čvrste žene. "Velike nade" iz 1989., još jedan od filmova u kojima igra Ruth Sheen, široko, duboko, duhovito i otkačeno zahvaćaju u obitelj i društvo, brigu o starijima i potomstvu, pa mogu opravdati i najviša očekivanja.

STVARNO OPREZ

U ciklusu se mogao vidjeti i netipičan, šaren i razigran redateljev film "Naglavačke" iz 1999., smješten na konac 19. stoljeća, među autore kazališne glazbe. U ciklusu bi bilo logično očekivati i dva kasnija filma. To je "Samo bez brige", ne najbolji, ali najeuforičniji redateljev film s hiperoptimističnom odgojiteljicom koju igra Sally Hawkins. Tu je i humorna drama "Još jedna godina" iz 2010. o kompliciranim osobnim odnosima u zreloj dobi. Reklo bi se, prosječnom pretplatniku više nego dosta.

Ipak, voljeli bismo "Međuvrijeme" iz 1981. s Timom Rothom i Garyjem Oldmanom o pokušajima roditelja da odgovore sina od druženja s lokalnim neonacistom, što nam je i ovdje danas problemski blisko.

Moramo na kraju dodati i crtu opreza jer Leigh je redatelj koji izaziva stanovitu ovisnost. Njegove priče iz susjedstva, iz "Bombardellijevih stanova" ili vrtova malih kuća u nizu, koje su nalik onima iz šansona Drage Britivića, uđu vam pod kožu pa biste mogli poželjeti svaki dan pogledati neki Leighov film, u ritmu češćeg od Otvorenog. Jer u filmovima tog nesuđenog počasnoga doktora psihologije i socijalnog rada su ljudi od krvi i mesa u realnim životnim situacijama, s manama i kvalitetama, uz ostavljeni otvoreni kraj, pa neka mu prigovaraju da prikazuje probleme, a ne nudi rješenje.

Ciklus Mikea Leigha legao je u ovo pandemijsko vrijeme kao dvostruka doza cjepiva. Jer ti se filmovi, uglavnom smješteni u "samoizolaciju", hrabro suočavaju s problemima, uz visoku dozu talenta, inteligencije, humora, dubine i topline. Svega onoga što nam danas tako nedostaje.

U sklopu ciklusa suvremenoga britanskoga filmskog klasika Mikea Leigha, na HTV-u 3 u četvrtak navečer je film "Sve ili ništa".

Film iz 2002. o trgovkinji koja čvrsto stoji na zemlji i njezinu ne tako čvrstom mužu taksistu, njihovim sinu i kćeri, koji se također gube u bespućima odrastanja, nije dvosatni komad veselja i optimizma, iako nosi optimističnu poruku koja bi mogla spriječiti besanu noć u četvrtak iza ponoći. Uloga Leighova važnoga glumca Timothyja Spalla (igra i u "Život je sladak" i u "Tajnama i lažima") i drugih vrijedna je pažnje, a film je imao i nekoliko važnih europskih nominacija.

Mike Leigh (1943.) je redatelj koji sam piše scenarije svojih filmova, mahom smještenih u britansko radništvo, u kojima u gemišt omjeru 2 u 3 miješa trpkost života i minerale humora i vedrine. Za ljubitelje drame, realiteta i za one koji imaju petlju uroniti u stvarnost, filmovi izbrušenoga scenarija i odlične glume prava su poslastica. Oni koji više vole izmaštane svjetove, krv, znoj i akciju, na izbor imaju hrpu sadržaja i u osnovnim TV paketima i na stream servisima. Na takvim sadržajima odgojenoj publici filmovi Mikea Leigha mogu teže pasti.

ODLIČNA IMELDA

Film koji će se moći vidjeti idući četvrtak je "Vera Drake" iz 2004. godine, s odličnom Imeldom Staunton u glavnoj ulozi, prati londonsku kućnu pomoćnicu iz 1950-ih koja drži sve konce posla i kuće, a još ima energije za dobro raspoloženje i pomaganje drugima. Pa i besplatnim ilegalnim pobačajima po kućama, no jednoga dana pobačaj krene po zlu, pa sudske institucije počinju raditi svoj posao. Film je bio proglašen filmom godine u Velikoj Britaniji, a Leigh i Staunton nagrađeni su u Veneciji. Film je bio nominiran za Oscara, koji je Leighu redovito izmicao, ali to je veći problem za Američku filmsku akademiju nego za britanskoga redatelja. Zanimljivo je da je film odbio Canneski festival, koji je Leigha prije nagrađivao.

Nagradu za najboljega redatelja u Cannesu Leigh je dobio za režiju filma "Razgolićeni" iz 1993., a David Thewlis za najboljega glumca, a odlična je i Leighova česta glumica Katrin Cartlidge. Taj najmračniji i najnasilniji redateljev film, koji sam imao nesreću gledati u Splitu 1994., također prepunom droge, nasilja i izgubljenih ljudi, na HTV-u je igrao 20. ožujka i još uvijek je jednako težak. Ali vrijedan gledanja.

U ciklusu je 1. travnja prikazan i najpoznatiji Leighov film "Tajne i laži" iz 1996., nagrađen "Zlatnom palmom" i nizom važnih nagrada. Film o potrazi mlade crne žene za biološkom majkom, koju je izvanredno odigrala Brenda Blethyn, otkriva obiteljska prikrivanja i nesporazume, dirajući najtanje žice ljudskih i obiteljskih odnosa. Kao i za druge Leighove filmove, a za ovaj posebno, vrijedi uložiti sav trud i snalažljivost da ga se vrati na tražilici, nađe na snimalici, da se piše HTV-u da ga se pogleda.

Među filmovima u ciklusu koji su nas bacili s kauča i doveli do suza jesu i "Život je sladak" iz 1990. o euforičnoj majci i pasivnome ocu te njihovim blizankama, od kojih se jedna bori s bulimijom, a sve uz inteligentan humor. "Karijeristice" iz 1997., možda najbolji film o cimerstvu i prijateljstvu, koji pokazuje kako iz studentskih sobica od psihološki i socijalno ugroženih djevojaka izlaze čvrste žene. "Velike nade" iz 1989., još jedan od filmova u kojima igra Ruth Sheen, široko, duboko, duhovito i otkačeno zahvaćaju u obitelj i društvo, brigu o starijima i potomstvu, pa mogu opravdati i najviša očekivanja.

STVARNO OPREZ

U ciklusu se mogao vidjeti i netipičan, šaren i razigran redateljev film "Naglavačke" iz 1999., smješten na konac 19. stoljeća, među autore kazališne glazbe. U ciklusu bi bilo logično očekivati i dva kasnija filma. To je "Samo bez brige", ne najbolji, ali najeuforičniji redateljev film s hiperoptimističnom odgojiteljicom koju igra Sally Hawkins. Tu je i humorna drama "Još jedna godina" iz 2010. o kompliciranim osobnim odnosima u zreloj dobi. Reklo bi se, prosječnom pretplatniku više nego dosta.

Ipak, voljeli bismo "Međuvrijeme" iz 1981. s Timom Rothom i Garyjem Oldmanom o pokušajima roditelja da odgovore sina od druženja s lokalnim neonacistom, što nam je i ovdje danas problemski blisko.

Moramo na kraju dodati i crtu opreza jer Leigh je redatelj koji izaziva stanovitu ovisnost. Njegove priče iz susjedstva, iz "Bombardellijevih stanova" ili vrtova malih kuća u nizu, koje su nalik onima iz šansona Drage Britivića, uđu vam pod kožu pa biste mogli poželjeti svaki dan pogledati neki Leighov film, u ritmu češćeg od Otvorenog. Jer u filmovima tog nesuđenog počasnoga doktora psihologije i socijalnog rada su ljudi od krvi i mesa u realnim životnim situacijama, s manama i kvalitetama, uz ostavljeni otvoreni kraj, pa neka mu prigovaraju da prikazuje probleme, a ne nudi rješenje.

Ciklus Mikea Leigha legao je u ovo pandemijsko vrijeme kao dvostruka doza cjepiva. Jer ti se filmovi, uglavnom smješteni u "samoizolaciju", hrabro suočavaju s problemima, uz visoku dozu talenta, inteligencije, humora, dubine i topline. Svega onoga što nam danas tako nedostaje.
