"Igrači" ("Players") doletjeli su s lakoćom na prvo mjesto gledanosti Neflixovih filmova. Valentinovska magija načinila je ovu romantiču komediju instant hitom na popularnom streaming servisu. Premijera "Igrača" na Valentinovo mudro je odabrana i nije došlo do sudaranja s Netflixovom "valentinovskom" serijom "One Day", plasiranom nekoliko dana ranije, niti s glavnom filmskom konkurencijom u vidu Amazonove romantične komedije "Upgraded".

Romansa i komedija idealna su kombinacija za Dan zaljubljenih i gledanje u dvoje, ali i ono samačko (možete se nasmijati, ako ništa), tako da uspjeh filma "Players" ne treba čuditi. Hitom bi postao i slabiji romantično-komični uradak od "Igrača" redateljice Trish Sie i scenarista Whita Andersona.

Za algoritamske streaming domete, pa i žanr u zadnje vrijeme ("Samo ne ti" je daleko iznad prosjeka), ovo je prilično neloš i sasvim gledljiv rom-com, posebice za postvalentinovsku konzumaciju. Priča donosi jedan u nizu rom-com zapleta koji počivaju na pretvaranju.

U prvom planu je sportska novinarka Mack (Gina Rodriguez) koja priređuje igre zavođenja/predstave u barovima s prijateljima/kolegama s posla Adamom (Damon Wayans Jr.; sin zvijezde filma "Prljavi igraju prljavo"), Brannaganom (Augustus Prew) i Littleom (Joel Courtney).

Usred jedne takve igre upoznajemo likove pa Mack glumi kao da je Brannaganova cura ne bi li njihovo inscenirano rječkanje privuklo žensku u baru koja se njemu sviđa. "Zavodimo je trudom laži", govori Mack. "Scenarij je apsurdan, ona je žena koja živi pod terorom toksičnih romantičnih komedija", doda ona u kratkom trenutku dobrodošle samosvjesnosti lika i filma.

Mack je svjesna da ovakva igra ne može dugo trajati jer "imam 33 godine i iscrpljena sam i želim odraslu osobu", stoga je spremna upasti u vezu sa slavnim novinarom Nickom (Tom Ellis; "Lucifer") nakon što su skupa proveli jednu noć. Za početak, međutim, treba upecati Nicka koji je "dobar ulov", a to će napraviti u formi igre/predstave, namještajući njihove "sudbinske" susrete u operi, tijekom jogginga itd. ne bi li vezu za jednu noć pretvorila u pravu romansu.

"Ne možeš izgraditi vezu iz predstave", govori Adam, ali Mack ne sluša. Situacije su "hit&miss" zabavne, ali kvaka je da prerano postaje savršeno jasno (svima osim njoj) kako Nick nije "pravi" za Mack nego Adam. To je naročito očito nakon "double date" večere kad Nick pomiješa "Ratove zvijezda" i "Zvjezdane staze", a Mack i Adam, fanovi "Star Warsa", glume mačevanje svjetlosnim sabljama, još više kad je pokuša "prepraviti" i preuredi jedan njezin osoban tekst, usput joj priznavši da nije neka novinarka.

Utoliko, "Players" je krajnje predvidljiv, a u prilog mu ne ide i manjak spontanosti. Međutim, film na okupu drži Rodriguez za koju je lako navijati, neovisno o tome što ne sumnjamo u njezin sretan kraj i znamo da će završiti s Adamom. Rodriguez pokazuje odlike prave romantično-komične protagonistice: prirodna je u ulozi, ima zarazan osmjeh, šarm i energiju. Želimo joj da jednog dana (zaljubljenih) dobije bolji film od "Igrača" i postane rom-com zvijezda.

Premijera "Igrača" na Valentinovo mudro je odabrana i nije došlo do sudaranja s Netflixovom "valentinovskom" serijom "One Day", plasiranom nekoliko dana ranije, niti s glavnom filmskom konkurencijom u vidu Amazonove romantične komedije "Upgraded".

Romansa i komedija idealna su kombinacija za Dan zaljubljenih i gledanje u dvoje, ali i ono samačko (možete se nasmijati, ako ništa), tako da uspjeh filma "Players" ne treba čuditi. Hitom bi postao i slabiji romantično-komični uradak od "Igrača" redateljice Trish Sie i scenarista Whita Andersona.

Za algoritamske streaming domete, pa i žanr u zadnje vrijeme ("Samo ne ti" je daleko iznad prosjeka), ovo je prilično neloš i sasvim gledljiv rom-com, posebice za postvalentinovsku konzumaciju. Priča donosi jedan u nizu rom-com zapleta koji počivaju na pretvaranju.

U prvom planu je sportska novinarka Mack (Gina Rodriguez) koja priređuje igre zavođenja/predstave u barovima s prijateljima/kolegama s posla Adamom (Damon Wayans Jr.; sin zvijezde filma "Prljavi igraju prljavo"), Brannaganom (Augustus Prew) i Littleom (Joel Courtney).

Usred jedne takve igre upoznajemo likove pa Mack glumi kao da je Brannaganova cura ne bi li njihovo inscenirano rječkanje privuklo žensku u baru koja se njemu sviđa. "Zavodimo je trudom laži", govori Mack. "Scenarij je apsurdan, ona je žena koja živi pod terorom toksičnih romantičnih komedija", doda ona u kratkom trenutku dobrodošle samosvjesnosti lika i filma.

Mack je svjesna da ovakva igra ne može dugo trajati jer "imam 33 godine i iscrpljena sam i želim odraslu osobu", stoga je spremna upasti u vezu sa slavnim novinarom Nickom (Tom Ellis; "Lucifer") nakon što su skupa proveli jednu noć. Za početak, međutim, treba upecati Nicka koji je "dobar ulov", a to će napraviti u formi igre/predstave, namještajući njihove "sudbinske" susrete u operi, tijekom jogginga itd. ne bi li vezu za jednu noć pretvorila u pravu romansu.

"Ne možeš izgraditi vezu iz predstave", govori Adam, ali Mack ne sluša. Situacije su "hit&miss" zabavne, ali kvaka je da prerano postaje savršeno jasno (svima osim njoj) kako Nick nije "pravi" za Mack nego Adam. To je naročito očito nakon "double date" večere kad Nick pomiješa "Ratove zvijezda" i "Zvjezdane staze", a Mack i Adam, fanovi "Star Warsa", glume mačevanje svjetlosnim sabljama, još više kad je pokuša "prepraviti" i preuredi jedan njezin osoban tekst, usput joj priznavši da nije neka novinarka.

Utoliko, "Players" je krajnje predvidljiv, a u prilog mu ne ide i manjak spontanosti. Međutim, film na okupu drži Rodriguez za koju je lako navijati, neovisno o tome što ne sumnjamo u njezin sretan kraj i znamo da će završiti s Adamom. Rodriguez pokazuje odlike prave romantično-komične protagonistice: prirodna je u ulozi, ima zarazan osmjeh, šarm i energiju. Želimo joj da jednog dana (zaljubljenih) dobije bolji film od "Igrača" i postane rom-com zvijezda.

"Igrači" ("Players") doletjeli su s lakoćom na prvo mjesto gledanosti Neflixovih filmova. Valentinovska magija načinila je ovu romantiču komediju instant hitom na popularnom streaming servisu.
