"Ja idem u lov, ne znam za tebe..." – "Dnevna smjena" (2022.)

Koordinatori kaskadera i tzv. redatelji druge ekipe posljednjih godina sve češće postaju režiseri akcijskih filmova. To je logičan korak naprijed koji je još početkom devedesetih napravio jedan Vic Armstrong, a u zadnje vrijeme su ga napravili Chad Stahelski (serijal "John Wick") i David Leitch ("Atomska plavuša").

Ovog kolovoza se očekivao novi Leitchov film "Brzina metka", ali on nije jedini ovoljetni koordinator kaskadera u ulozi režisera. Tu je i J.J. Perry, redatelj Netflixove akcijske horor komedije "Dnevna smjena" ("Day Shift").  Veteran kaskaderstva ima sličan "background" kao Stahelski i Leitch koji su producirali "Dnevnu smjenu" preko kompanije 87Eleven Entertainment, odgovorne za produkciju filmova poput "Johna Wicka", "Atmoic Blonde", "Kate" i "Nobody".

Na koncu, "Day Shift" se reklamira kao novi projekt tipova koji su "naučili Johna Wicka kako da praši dupe". Uglavnom, Perry je majstor borilačkih vještina, a na filmu se kalio kao kaskader, koordinator kaskadera i režiser druge ekipe. Bilo je i vrijeme da debitira kao redatelj. I debitirao je kako dolikuje.

"Dnevna smjena" možda nije u dometu serijala "John Wick" i "Atomske plavuše" kao film, ali u akcijskom smislu ne kaska puno za njima, naprotiv. Sve što je upijao 30 godina radeći na filmskim setovima, Perry je sada pretočio u "Day Shift" i snimio prilično solidan i zabavan vampirski akcić s nekim od najkreativnijih scena akcije unatrag godinu dana.

Perry posramljuje druge Netflixove akcijski orijentirane filmove kao što su "Pravda za obitelj", "Za šaku osvete", "Daleko od ulice", "Presretač", "Čovjek iz Toronta" i znatno skuplje streaming blockbustere poput "Crvene tjeralice" i "Sivog čovjeka". Posramljuje i Netflixov vampirski film "Noćni zubi", ali i visokobudžetnog "Morbiusa".

Uzor za "Dnevnu smjenu" su "Vampiri" Johna Carpentera i serijal "Blade". Iako, kad lovac na vampire Bud Jablonski (oskarovac Jamie Foxx) priča o krvopijcima, on se referira na neke druge filmove. "To nije Brad Pitt u kožnoj jakni koji žudi za krvlju ('Intervju s vampirom", op.a.). Nije 'Pomrčina', 'Mladi mjesec', 'Praskozorje 1. dio'...", govori Bud.

"Zašto znaš nazive 'Sumrak' filmova", pita ga slučajni partner Seth (Dave Franco) i čudi se da nije spomenuo "Praskozorje 2. dio". Ironično, ali ironija je ionako uvučena u priču o junaku koji lovi vampire glumeći da je čistač bazena i prodaje njihove očnjake za novac krpajući financijski kraj s krajem.

Štosno je vidjeti svojevrsnog Bladea radničke klase, kao i da lovci na vampire imaju sindikat (Seth je sindikalni predstavnik) te da je, konačno, meksičko-američka vampirska negativka Audrey (Karla Souza) na drugoj strani društvenog spektra u odnosu na junaka i pod krinkom vodi dobrostojeću agenciju za nekretnine. Lov na vampire predstavljen je u efektnoj uvodnoj sceni koja uspostavlja balans krvave akcije i komedije, a krvopijci su nešto drukčiji no inače, savitljiviji, teži za ubijanje.

Akcijske scene također znaju biti dosad neviđene, poput bacanja uza stube, "čišćenja" vampirskog gnijezda i auto-moto jurnjave koja počinje u jednom kadru. Kamera iz drona je izvanredna i Perry čisto i pregledno izlaže zbivanja, bez suvišnog glavinjanja kao u "Hitnoj pomoći" i prekobrojnog viška montažnih rezova.

U svakom kadru se osjeća njegova strast za akcijom i živopisnim likovima, od Buda preko njegova mentora Big Johna Elliota (Snoop Dogg) do braće Nazarian (Scott Adkins, Steve Howey). Svatko od njih zaslužuje nastavak ili vlastiti film, uključujući Dogga, neočekivanog akcijskog junaka s mini-gunom.

"Ja idem u lov, ne znam za tebe..." – "Dnevna smjena" (2022.)

Koordinatori kaskadera i tzv. redatelji druge ekipe posljednjih godina sve češće postaju režiseri akcijskih filmova. To je logičan korak naprijed koji je još početkom devedesetih napravio jedan Vic Armstrong, a u zadnje vrijeme su ga napravili Chad Stahelski (serijal "John Wick") i David Leitch ("Atomska plavuša").

Ovog kolovoza se očekivao novi Leitchov film "Brzina metka", ali on nije jedini ovoljetni koordinator kaskadera u ulozi režisera. Tu je i J.J. Perry, redatelj Netflixove akcijske horor komedije "Dnevna smjena" ("Day Shift").  Veteran kaskaderstva ima sličan "background" kao Stahelski i Leitch koji su producirali "Dnevnu smjenu" preko kompanije 87Eleven Entertainment, odgovorne za produkciju filmova poput "Johna Wicka", "Atmoic Blonde", "Kate" i "Nobody".

Na koncu, "Day Shift" se reklamira kao novi projekt tipova koji su "naučili Johna Wicka kako da praši dupe". Uglavnom, Perry je majstor borilačkih vještina, a na filmu se kalio kao kaskader, koordinator kaskadera i režiser druge ekipe. Bilo je i vrijeme da debitira kao redatelj. I debitirao je kako dolikuje.

"Dnevna smjena" možda nije u dometu serijala "John Wick" i "Atomske plavuše" kao film, ali u akcijskom smislu ne kaska puno za njima, naprotiv. Sve što je upijao 30 godina radeći na filmskim setovima, Perry je sada pretočio u "Day Shift" i snimio prilično solidan i zabavan vampirski akcić s nekim od najkreativnijih scena akcije unatrag godinu dana.

Perry posramljuje druge Netflixove akcijski orijentirane filmove kao što su "Pravda za obitelj", "Za šaku osvete", "Daleko od ulice", "Presretač", "Čovjek iz Toronta" i znatno skuplje streaming blockbustere poput "Crvene tjeralice" i "Sivog čovjeka". Posramljuje i Netflixov vampirski film "Noćni zubi", ali i visokobudžetnog "Morbiusa".

Uzor za "Dnevnu smjenu" su "Vampiri" Johna Carpentera i serijal "Blade". Iako, kad lovac na vampire Bud Jablonski (oskarovac Jamie Foxx) priča o krvopijcima, on se referira na neke druge filmove. "To nije Brad Pitt u kožnoj jakni koji žudi za krvlju ('Intervju s vampirom", op.a.). Nije 'Pomrčina', 'Mladi mjesec', 'Praskozorje 1. dio'...", govori Bud.

"Zašto znaš nazive 'Sumrak' filmova", pita ga slučajni partner Seth (Dave Franco) i čudi se da nije spomenuo "Praskozorje 2. dio". Ironično, ali ironija je ionako uvučena u priču o junaku koji lovi vampire glumeći da je čistač bazena i prodaje njihove očnjake za novac krpajući financijski kraj s krajem.

Štosno je vidjeti svojevrsnog Bladea radničke klase, kao i da lovci na vampire imaju sindikat (Seth je sindikalni predstavnik) te da je, konačno, meksičko-američka vampirska negativka Audrey (Karla Souza) na drugoj strani društvenog spektra u odnosu na junaka i pod krinkom vodi dobrostojeću agenciju za nekretnine. Lov na vampire predstavljen je u efektnoj uvodnoj sceni koja uspostavlja balans krvave akcije i komedije, a krvopijci su nešto drukčiji no inače, savitljiviji, teži za ubijanje.

Akcijske scene također znaju biti dosad neviđene, poput bacanja uza stube, "čišćenja" vampirskog gnijezda i auto-moto jurnjave koja počinje u jednom kadru. Kamera iz drona je izvanredna i Perry čisto i pregledno izlaže zbivanja, bez suvišnog glavinjanja kao u "Hitnoj pomoći" i prekobrojnog viška montažnih rezova.

U svakom kadru se osjeća njegova strast za akcijom i živopisnim likovima, od Buda preko njegova mentora Big Johna Elliota (Snoop Dogg) do braće Nazarian (Scott Adkins, Steve Howey). Svatko od njih zaslužuje nastavak ili vlastiti film, uključujući Dogga, neočekivanog akcijskog junaka s mini-gunom.
