Emocija je pokretač belgijskog filma “Blizu” (“Close”), snimljenog u koprodukciji s Francuskom i Nizozemskom i u Hrvatskoj premijerno prikazanog na ZFF-u. Vjerovali ili ne, “Blizu” je izmamio emocije i kod poslovično hladne canneske kritike, ali i žirija koji mu je dao Grand Prix.

Prijašnji film mladog redatelja Lukasa Dhonta (“Djevojka”, u Cannesu nagrađena Zlatnom kamerom) bio je emotivan, no ni blizu kao “Close”, belgijski kandidat za Oscara koji, poput “Saint Omera”, ima velike šanse da osvoji nominaciju u kategoriji najboljeg međunarodnog filma.

Prije toga, “Blizu” se natjecao za nagradu Europske filmske akademije, tj. EU Oscara, i to u istim kategorijama kao i “Saint Omer” (film, režija), ali i za scenarij i najboljeg glumca, izvanrednog 15-godišnjeg Edena Dambrinea, jednog od najmlađih glumačkih nominenata u povijesti EFA-e.

Dambrine nastupa u ulozi 13-godišnjeg školarca Lea, najboljeg prijatelja vršnjaka Remya (također odlični Gustav de Waele). Remy i Leo žive u belgijskoj ruralnoj provinciji, čija je idila oslikana beskrajnim poljima dalija koje uzgaja obitelj potonjeg mladića. Idilično je i njihovo prijateljstvo, oslikano razbibrižnim dječačkim trkom nerazdvojnih frendova u nevinom “slow motionu”.

Bliskost među dječacima je intenzivna, iznimno snažna, toliko da lako moguće, graniči i s “nečim više” (zaljubljenost), osobito kad je sagledana “izvana”, premda je vjerojatno nesvjesna i dječaci je ne mogu ili ne žele (još) psihofizički pojmiti. Oni se naguravaju kao i svi dječaci, ali i jedan stavlja glavu na stomak drugoga dok leže na travi.

Učenici u školi svakako su radoznali, toliko da ih pitaju jesu li par. Leo negira da su zajedno, već ističe da su “najbolji prijatelji do točke da su kao braća”. Međutim, maliciozni vršnjaci ne odustaju i nastavljaju s verbalnim maltretiranjem i podrugljivim komentarima (najviše u smjeru posramljena i ponižena Lea) koji razdvajaju prijatelje i ljuljaju temelje njihova prijateljstva, ostavljajući mladiće nasamo s neobjašnjivim osjećajima.

Primjerice, Remyja za stolom zaboli stomak, ali teško da je to od hrane. U tom trenutku, “Close” je bez problema mogao postati šokantna mladenačka drama na temu homofobije i “bullyinga”. S nekim drugim iza kamere bi i postao.

Ipak, Dhont je delikatan i taktilan filmaš zainteresiraniji za interijere mlade duše nego tipičnije dramske eksterijere, premda poseže za jednim šokom i tragedijom koji račvaju film oko polovice. “Nešto se dogodilo”, odzvoni šokantna rečenica. Nećemo vidjeti što točno, no osjećat ćemo reperkusije tog događaja, kao i početnog urušavanja prijateljstva i otuđenja prijatelja.

Izvrsna je scena kad se Leo posvećuje treniranju hokeja kao potvrdi muškosti, ali na ledu kliže i pada, nakon što je ostao bez oslonca prijatelja Remyja. Zanimljiv je i njegov bliski odnos s Remyjevom majkom koju sjajno glumi Emilie Dequenne, titularna Rosetta iz istoimene, Zlatnom palmom ovjenčane drame braće Dardenne iz 1999. godine.

Proglašena najboljom glumicom u Cannesu za tu ulogu, Dequenne je tada bila svega nekoliko godina starija od glumaca/likova filma “Blizu”, čime Dhont kao da zatvara dramski krug, ali na emotivan način. “Close” je srceparajući film o blizinama i daljinama odrastanja.

Nominacija za Zlatni globus

"Blizu" je upravo osvojio nominaciju za Zlatni globus u kategoriji ne-engleskog filma i time praktički potvrdio da će se najvjerojatnije upasti u top-pet međunarodnih oskarovskih nominenata.

Emocija je pokretač belgijskog filma “Blizu” (“Close”), snimljenog u koprodukciji s Francuskom i Nizozemskom i u Hrvatskoj premijerno prikazanog na ZFF-u. Vjerovali ili ne, “Blizu” je izmamio emocije i kod poslovično hladne canneske kritike, ali i žirija koji mu je dao Grand Prix.

Prijašnji film mladog redatelja Lukasa Dhonta (“Djevojka”, u Cannesu nagrađena Zlatnom kamerom) bio je emotivan, no ni blizu kao “Close”, belgijski kandidat za Oscara koji, poput “Saint Omera”, ima velike šanse da osvoji nominaciju u kategoriji najboljeg međunarodnog filma.

Prije toga, “Blizu” se natjecao za nagradu Europske filmske akademije, tj. EU Oscara, i to u istim kategorijama kao i “Saint Omer” (film, režija), ali i za scenarij i najboljeg glumca, izvanrednog 15-godišnjeg Edena Dambrinea, jednog od najmlađih glumačkih nominenata u povijesti EFA-e.

Dambrine nastupa u ulozi 13-godišnjeg školarca Lea, najboljeg prijatelja vršnjaka Remya (također odlični Gustav de Waele). Remy i Leo žive u belgijskoj ruralnoj provinciji, čija je idila oslikana beskrajnim poljima dalija koje uzgaja obitelj potonjeg mladića. Idilično je i njihovo prijateljstvo, oslikano razbibrižnim dječačkim trkom nerazdvojnih frendova u nevinom “slow motionu”.

Bliskost među dječacima je intenzivna, iznimno snažna, toliko da lako moguće, graniči i s “nečim više” (zaljubljenost), osobito kad je sagledana “izvana”, premda je vjerojatno nesvjesna i dječaci je ne mogu ili ne žele (još) psihofizički pojmiti. Oni se naguravaju kao i svi dječaci, ali i jedan stavlja glavu na stomak drugoga dok leže na travi.

Učenici u školi svakako su radoznali, toliko da ih pitaju jesu li par. Leo negira da su zajedno, već ističe da su “najbolji prijatelji do točke da su kao braća”. Međutim, maliciozni vršnjaci ne odustaju i nastavljaju s verbalnim maltretiranjem i podrugljivim komentarima (najviše u smjeru posramljena i ponižena Lea) koji razdvajaju prijatelje i ljuljaju temelje njihova prijateljstva, ostavljajući mladiće nasamo s neobjašnjivim osjećajima.

Primjerice, Remyja za stolom zaboli stomak, ali teško da je to od hrane. U tom trenutku, “Close” je bez problema mogao postati šokantna mladenačka drama na temu homofobije i “bullyinga”. S nekim drugim iza kamere bi i postao.

Ipak, Dhont je delikatan i taktilan filmaš zainteresiraniji za interijere mlade duše nego tipičnije dramske eksterijere, premda poseže za jednim šokom i tragedijom koji račvaju film oko polovice. “Nešto se dogodilo”, odzvoni šokantna rečenica. Nećemo vidjeti što točno, no osjećat ćemo reperkusije tog događaja, kao i početnog urušavanja prijateljstva i otuđenja prijatelja.

Izvrsna je scena kad se Leo posvećuje treniranju hokeja kao potvrdi muškosti, ali na ledu kliže i pada, nakon što je ostao bez oslonca prijatelja Remyja. Zanimljiv je i njegov bliski odnos s Remyjevom majkom koju sjajno glumi Emilie Dequenne, titularna Rosetta iz istoimene, Zlatnom palmom ovjenčane drame braće Dardenne iz 1999. godine.

Proglašena najboljom glumicom u Cannesu za tu ulogu, Dequenne je tada bila svega nekoliko godina starija od glumaca/likova filma “Blizu”, čime Dhont kao da zatvara dramski krug, ali na emotivan način. “Close” je srceparajući film o blizinama i daljinama odrastanja.

Nominacija za Zlatni globus

"Blizu" je upravo osvojio nominaciju za Zlatni globus u kategoriji ne-engleskog filma i time praktički potvrdio da će se najvjerojatnije upasti u top-pet međunarodnih oskarovskih nominenata.
