Iz godine u godinu sve je gora demografska slika Vrgorske krajine. Nedavni popis vrgorskog župnika fra Josipa Repeše tijekom blagoslova kuća to je najbolje pokazao, a svake godine to se najbolje vidi na početku školske godine, kad djeca sjednu u klupe.

Dok se vrgorski školarci pomalo navikavaju na maske i svoje nastavnike, a političari se javno hvale ulaganjem u demografske mjere, poput predškolskog odgoja, pomoć mladim obiteljima kroz razne programe, dotad se pomalo, ali sigurno po brojnim vrgorskim selima "gase" područne škole koje su desetljećima bile "vrela života".

Prije nekoliko godina svoja vrata zatvorila je osmoljetka u Dragljanima i sad se pomalo priprema za Dom za starije i nemoćne. Sljedeće godine slična sudbina čeka i područnu školu u Zavojanima. Nekad je to bilo jedno od najvećih sela Vrgorske krajine, koje je prije pola stoljeća brojilo oko 1000 stanovnika. Tako zapadni dio Vrgorske krajine ostaje samo na područnoj školi u Ravči, koja ove godine nije upisala ni jednog prvašića.

Vrgorska brdsko-planinska sela, poput Mijaca i Kozičkih Poljica, desetljećima su bila zapuštena od svih vlasti, a stanovništvo je zbog toga trbuhom za kruhom bježalo po bijelom svijetu. U Mijacima se dijete nije rodilo više od 20 godina. Još se malo drže Stilja i Žlibina, s tim da djeca iz ovog sela idu u školu u imotsko Slivno. Sličnu sudbinu zapadnih sela mogao bi doživjeti i istok Vrgorske krajine, mjesta poput Oraha i Velikog Prologa, jer ove godine nemaju ni jednog prvašića, a prošle godine to nisu imala naselja uz polje kao Kokorići i Umčani, gdje se jedan dio stanovništva još zadržao. Ove godine u Umčanima je upisan samo jedan prvašić. Kakvo je stanje s brojem učenika u OŠ "Vrgorac", kazao nam je ravnatelj prof. Krešimir Kuran.

– Na početku ove godine brojimo 521 učenika, što je u odnosu na prethodnu godinu 30 učenika manje. U matičnoj školi u Vrgorcu imamo 36 prvašića, dok u šest područnih škola imamo ukupno 16 prvašića. Po sadašnjim pokazateljima iduće školske godine trebala bi se ugasiti Područna škola u Zavojanima. Ove godine prvašiće nismo upisali u Velikom Prologu, Orahu i Ravči – veli prof. Kuran.

I da je netko prije par godina rekao da u Orahu i Velikom Prologu neće biti prvašića, mnogi bi mu rekli da potraži pomoć. No, nažalost, došla je i ta godina. Škole su u ova dva sela u posljednje vrijeme uglavnom držala djeca iz hercegovačkih sela. U Orahu iz Veljaka i Graba, a u Velikom Prologu iz Prologa i Crvenog Grma. Onda su počele odjave stanovništa iz Hercegovine uoči lokalnih izbora u Vrgorcu. Roditelji su djecu iz Veljaka i Graba pomalo počeli vraćati u svoja sela, dok je djecu iz Crvenog Grma i Prologa, pored odjava zadesio još jedan problem, trebala im je propusnica za prijeći granicu i doći do škole. Mnogi roditelji nisu po važećim kriterijima mogli doći do tog "zlatnog papirića" i svoju djecu su bili primorani vratiti u škole na području Ljubuškog.

Pošto su već godinama Orah i Veliki Prolog ostali na starijem stanovništvu, škole je zadesila sudbina da su ostale prazne. U Velikom Prologu je od sedamdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća, otkad je škola bila otvorena organizirana nastava do osam razreda. A ove godine, nažalost, jedna učiteljica ima pet učenika do četiri razreda. Znači, škola je u najboljim godinama brojila oko 170 učenika iz Lukavca, Dusine, Velikog Prologa, Prologa i Crvenog Grma, broj je pomalo počeo opadati otvaranjem

Područne škole u Dusini, zatim odjavama stanovništva i ulaskom Hrvatske u EU, ali i slabim natalitetom. Ravnatelj škole, vjeruje da škola u Velikom Prologu neće doživjeti sudbinu one u Dragljanima koja se pretvara u umirovljenički dom.

– Vjerujem da će razredna nastava u Velikom Prologu opstati. A što se tiče tehnološkog viška, zbog manjeg broja učenika u OŠ "Vrgorac", sigurno bi ga bilo da nam nije pet kolegica otišlo u mirovinu, jedna učiteljica razredne nastave i četiri predmetne nastave. Ovako se samo pojavio tehnološki višak u dijelu radnog vremena kod jednog kolege – zaključio je prof. Kuran.

Iz godine u godinu sve je gora demografska slika Vrgorske krajine. Nedavni popis vrgorskog župnika fra Josipa Repeše tijekom blagoslova kuća to je najbolje pokazao, a svake godine to se najbolje vidi na početku školske godine, kad djeca sjednu u klupe.

Dok se vrgorski školarci pomalo navikavaju na maske i svoje nastavnike, a političari se javno hvale ulaganjem u demografske mjere, poput predškolskog odgoja, pomoć mladim obiteljima kroz razne programe, dotad se pomalo, ali sigurno po brojnim vrgorskim selima "gase" područne škole koje su desetljećima bile "vrela života".

Prije nekoliko godina svoja vrata zatvorila je osmoljetka u Dragljanima i sad se pomalo priprema za Dom za starije i nemoćne. Sljedeće godine slična sudbina čeka i područnu školu u Zavojanima. Nekad je to bilo jedno od najvećih sela Vrgorske krajine, koje je prije pola stoljeća brojilo oko 1000 stanovnika. Tako zapadni dio Vrgorske krajine ostaje samo na područnoj školi u Ravči, koja ove godine nije upisala ni jednog prvašića.

Vrgorska brdsko-planinska sela, poput Mijaca i Kozičkih Poljica, desetljećima su bila zapuštena od svih vlasti, a stanovništvo je zbog toga trbuhom za kruhom bježalo po bijelom svijetu. U Mijacima se dijete nije rodilo više od 20 godina. Još se malo drže Stilja i Žlibina, s tim da djeca iz ovog sela idu u školu u imotsko Slivno. Sličnu sudbinu zapadnih sela mogao bi doživjeti i istok Vrgorske krajine, mjesta poput Oraha i Velikog Prologa, jer ove godine nemaju ni jednog prvašića, a prošle godine to nisu imala naselja uz polje kao Kokorići i Umčani, gdje se jedan dio stanovništva još zadržao. Ove godine u Umčanima je upisan samo jedan prvašić. Kakvo je stanje s brojem učenika u OŠ "Vrgorac", kazao nam je ravnatelj prof. Krešimir Kuran.

– Na početku ove godine brojimo 521 učenika, što je u odnosu na prethodnu godinu 30 učenika manje. U matičnoj školi u Vrgorcu imamo 36 prvašića, dok u šest područnih škola imamo ukupno 16 prvašića. Po sadašnjim pokazateljima iduće školske godine trebala bi se ugasiti Područna škola u Zavojanima. Ove godine prvašiće nismo upisali u Velikom Prologu, Orahu i Ravči – veli prof. Kuran.

I da je netko prije par godina rekao da u Orahu i Velikom Prologu neće biti prvašića, mnogi bi mu rekli da potraži pomoć. No, nažalost, došla je i ta godina. Škole su u ova dva sela u posljednje vrijeme uglavnom držala djeca iz hercegovačkih sela. U Orahu iz Veljaka i Graba, a u Velikom Prologu iz Prologa i Crvenog Grma. Onda su počele odjave stanovništa iz Hercegovine uoči lokalnih izbora u Vrgorcu. Roditelji su djecu iz Veljaka i Graba pomalo počeli vraćati u svoja sela, dok je djecu iz Crvenog Grma i Prologa, pored odjava zadesio još jedan problem, trebala im je propusnica za prijeći granicu i doći do škole. Mnogi roditelji nisu po važećim kriterijima mogli doći do tog "zlatnog papirića" i svoju djecu su bili primorani vratiti u škole na području Ljubuškog.

Pošto su već godinama Orah i Veliki Prolog ostali na starijem stanovništvu, škole je zadesila sudbina da su ostale prazne. U Velikom Prologu je od sedamdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća, otkad je škola bila otvorena organizirana nastava do osam razreda. A ove godine, nažalost, jedna učiteljica ima pet učenika do četiri razreda. Znači, škola je u najboljim godinama brojila oko 170 učenika iz Lukavca, Dusine, Velikog Prologa, Prologa i Crvenog Grma, broj je pomalo počeo opadati otvaranjem

Područne škole u Dusini, zatim odjavama stanovništva i ulaskom Hrvatske u EU, ali i slabim natalitetom. Ravnatelj škole, vjeruje da škola u Velikom Prologu neće doživjeti sudbinu one u Dragljanima koja se pretvara u umirovljenički dom.

– Vjerujem da će razredna nastava u Velikom Prologu opstati. A što se tiče tehnološkog viška, zbog manjeg broja učenika u OŠ "Vrgorac", sigurno bi ga bilo da nam nije pet kolegica otišlo u mirovinu, jedna učiteljica razredne nastave i četiri predmetne nastave. Ovako se samo pojavio tehnološki višak u dijelu radnog vremena kod jednog kolege – zaključio je prof. Kuran.

Iz godine u godinu sve je gora demografska slika Vrgorske krajine. Nedavni popis vrgorskog župnika fra Josipa Repeše tijekom blagoslova kuća to je najbolje pokazao, a svake godine to se najbolje vidi na početku školske godine, kad djeca sjednu u klupe.
