- Svi otoci trebaju imati status posebno pomaganog područja, jer sadašnji indeks razvijenosti, prema kojem se određuje taj status, ne uzima u obzir otežavajuće faktore života na otocima i njihova razvoja – kaže predsjednik Otočnog sabora Denis Barić.

Proglašenjem otoka razvijenim područjima, upozorava Barić, otočke općine i gradovi gube mogućnost povlačenja sredstava iz državnog i proračuna EU.
- Zbog promjene statusa neke jedinice lokalne samouprave s otoka koje su pripremile projekte i zemljišta i u to uložile novac, sada ostaju bez mogućnosti da privuku planirani novac za nerazvijene – navodi naš sugovornik.

Otočni sabor pokrenuo je potpisivanje peticije za promjenu Zakona o regionalnog razvoja kojom bi se svim otocima dao status posebno pomaganog područja. Peticija je uručena predstavnicima Ministarstva regionalnog razvoja. Osvrnuvši se na tvrdnje iz Vlade da je komunalna infrastruktura na otocima dovedena u zadovoljavajuće stanje, Denis Barić upozorio je kako na nekim otocima još nema vodoopskrbnog sustava već se voda doprema vodonoscima.

- Svi otoci trebaju imati status posebno pomaganog područja, jer sadašnji indeks razvijenosti, prema kojem se određuje taj status, ne uzima u obzir otežavajuće faktore života na otocima i njihova razvoja – kaže predsjednik Otočnog sabora Denis Barić.

Proglašenjem otoka razvijenim područjima, upozorava Barić, otočke općine i gradovi gube mogućnost povlačenja sredstava iz državnog i proračuna EU.
- Zbog promjene statusa neke jedinice lokalne samouprave s otoka koje su pripremile projekte i zemljišta i u to uložile novac, sada ostaju bez mogućnosti da privuku planirani novac za nerazvijene – navodi naš sugovornik.

Otočni sabor pokrenuo je potpisivanje peticije za promjenu Zakona o regionalnog razvoja kojom bi se svim otocima dao status posebno pomaganog područja. Peticija je uručena predstavnicima Ministarstva regionalnog razvoja. Osvrnuvši se na tvrdnje iz Vlade da je komunalna infrastruktura na otocima dovedena u zadovoljavajuće stanje, Denis Barić upozorio je kako na nekim otocima još nema vodoopskrbnog sustava već se voda doprema vodonoscima.

S ocjenom zamjenika ministra kako "otočani imaju sve i pomoć i nije potrebna", ne slažu se u Udruzi “Otočni sabor”.
- Svi otoci trebaju imati status posebno pomaganog područja, jer sadašnji indeks razvijenosti, prema kojem se određuje taj status, ne uzima u obzir otežavajuće faktore života na otocima i njihova razvoja – kaže predsjednik Otočnog sabora Denis Barić.
