Veliko nevrijeme poharalo je otok Hvar, pojavljivale su se urbane poplave i šćige, a ni maslinici nisu pošteđeni jer je ionako malo plodova uslijed jakog juga završilo na tlu.
Na udaru su bili Vrboska i Stari Grad, gdje se već dugo nisu vidjele gotovo apokaliptične slike nevere i njezinih posljedica, a na udaru se našao i krajnji istočni dio škoja. Najveće štete na infrastrukturi zabilježene su u Sućurju, gdje se novo trajektno pristanište, otvoren u nazočnosti premijera Andreja Plenkovića (HDZ) u srpnju prošle godine, gotovo profundalo.
Nepovoljna pozicija Sućurja i njegove luke je, kada su u pitanju vjetrovi južnih smjerova, čak i šire dobro poznata, ali porat je nov-novcat, pa je naprosto sramota da je u tolikoj mjeri nastradao. Raspuknuto pristanište, "gejziri" mora koji su se probijali kroz ukrcajno-iskrcajnu rampu, veliki komadi asfalta, opreme i lažine razbacani su na sve strane.
U Lučkoj upravi Splitsko-dalmatinske županije, investitoru nedavnih radova vrijednih gotovo 5 milijuna eura, obilato dotiranima i europskim novcem, tvrde da (srećom?!) "nema nikakvih konstruktivnih oštećenja".
- Novo pristanište je dimenzionirano tako da može podnijeti puno veće valove od ovih koje smo sada imali na tom dijelu otoka. Oštećenja su samo površinskog tipa, oštećen je sloj asfalta na dijelu rampe, na mjestu predviđenom za relaksacijski odušak – rekao je Domagoj Maroević (HDZ), ravnatelj regionalne ustanove.
Prema njegovim riječima, trajektni porat u Sućurju je cijelo vrijeme nakon smirivanja nevere u operativnoj upotrebi, jer "nastala površinska oštećenja nemaju nikakav utjecaj na odvijanje javnog linijskog prometa". Oštećenja će, kazao je naš sugovornik, već ovog tjedna biti u potpunosti sanirana, te će se obaviti zamjena dijela asfaltne površine što će potrajati nekoliko dana.
Slične tvrdnje iznio je i Ivan Slavić (HDZ), načelnik Općine Sućuraj, koji također smatra da "oko juga u Sućurju ne treba dizati naročito veliku prašinu", te da će "naposljetku biti postavljene rešetke da se ‘ubije‘ snaga vala tamo gdje su to prethodno predlagali izvođači radova, čime će sve biti riješeno".
Znači li to da su projektanti u ovom slučaju nešto pogriješili, nitko se nije želio očitovati, međutim, jedan od mještana Sućurja nam je iznio mišljenje kako je to tako bilo napravljeno da za vrijeme južine more ne bi polijevalo putnike, ali sada se ipak vidi da ni to ne može funkcionirati bez u praksi dobro provjerene klasike.

Veliko nevrijeme poharalo je otok Hvar, pojavljivale su se urbane poplave i šćige, a ni maslinici nisu pošteđeni jer je ionako malo plodova uslijed jakog juga završilo na tlu.
Na udaru su bili Vrboska i Stari Grad, gdje se već dugo nisu vidjele gotovo apokaliptične slike nevere i njezinih posljedica, a na udaru se našao i krajnji istočni dio škoja. Najveće štete na infrastrukturi zabilježene su u Sućurju, gdje se novo trajektno pristanište, otvoren u nazočnosti premijera Andreja Plenkovića (HDZ) u srpnju prošle godine, gotovo profundalo.
Nepovoljna pozicija Sućurja i njegove luke je, kada su u pitanju vjetrovi južnih smjerova, čak i šire dobro poznata, ali porat je nov-novcat, pa je naprosto sramota da je u tolikoj mjeri nastradao. Raspuknuto pristanište, "gejziri" mora koji su se probijali kroz ukrcajno-iskrcajnu rampu, veliki komadi asfalta, opreme i lažine razbacani su na sve strane.
U Lučkoj upravi Splitsko-dalmatinske županije, investitoru nedavnih radova vrijednih gotovo 5 milijuna eura, obilato dotiranima i europskim novcem, tvrde da (srećom?!) "nema nikakvih konstruktivnih oštećenja".
- Novo pristanište je dimenzionirano tako da može podnijeti puno veće valove od ovih koje smo sada imali na tom dijelu otoka. Oštećenja su samo površinskog tipa, oštećen je sloj asfalta na dijelu rampe, na mjestu predviđenom za relaksacijski odušak – rekao je Domagoj Maroević (HDZ), ravnatelj regionalne ustanove.
Prema njegovim riječima, trajektni porat u Sućurju je cijelo vrijeme nakon smirivanja nevere u operativnoj upotrebi, jer "nastala površinska oštećenja nemaju nikakav utjecaj na odvijanje javnog linijskog prometa". Oštećenja će, kazao je naš sugovornik, već ovog tjedna biti u potpunosti sanirana, te će se obaviti zamjena dijela asfaltne površine što će potrajati nekoliko dana.
Slične tvrdnje iznio je i Ivan Slavić (HDZ), načelnik Općine Sućuraj, koji također smatra da "oko juga u Sućurju ne treba dizati naročito veliku prašinu", te da će "naposljetku biti postavljene rešetke da se ‘ubije‘ snaga vala tamo gdje su to prethodno predlagali izvođači radova, čime će sve biti riješeno".
Znači li to da su projektanti u ovom slučaju nešto pogriješili, nitko se nije želio očitovati, međutim, jedan od mještana Sućurja nam je iznio mišljenje kako je to tako bilo napravljeno da za vrijeme južine more ne bi polijevalo putnike, ali sada se ipak vidi da ni to ne može funkcionirati bez u praksi dobro provjerene klasike.
