Pod oštricom motorne pile Anđelka Sumića, s podgorske rive i na predjelu Čaklje uklonjeno je krajem prošlog tjedna 25 oboljelih palmi.

Na žalost Podgorana, turista i sviju zaljubljenika u ovo živopisno turističko mjesto Makarske rivijere, uklonjene su predivne palme koje su gotovo 80 godina krasile Podgoru i davale joj nezaboravan mediteranski štih, ali jednostavno se moralo napraviti tako, kazao nam je Anđelko Sumić, voditelj za komunalne djelatnosti pri Općini Podgora. On je bio na čelu dvodnevne akcije pilanja i uklanjanja podgorskih ljepotica koje je napao nezaustavljivi nametnik.

– Već dvije godine pokušavamo spasiti palme koje je zahvatila palmina pipa, ionako su bile stare, pa nije bilo drugog izbora nego ih ukloniti zbog same sigurnosti za građane, kako se naposljetku ne bi srušile. Svi bismo voljeli da to nismo morali uraditi, ali viša sila nas je na to natjerala. Kad smo uvidjeli da se palme neće spasiti, već prošle godine smo posadili nove, a namjera nam je uskoro posaditi i nove na mjestima gdje su bile stare palme. Namjeravamo ukloniti još nekoliko palmi na području općine Podgora u mjestu Živogošće – istaknuo je Anđelko Sumić.

Uz djelatnike Općine Podgora, u akciji uklanjanja oboljelih palmi sudjelovale su i tvrtke "Abesinac", "West" i "Led Optima" iz Makarske sa svojim kamionima i kranovima.

Pod oštricom motorne pile Anđelka Sumića, s podgorske rive i na predjelu Čaklje uklonjeno je krajem prošlog tjedna 25 oboljelih palmi.

Na žalost Podgorana, turista i sviju zaljubljenika u ovo živopisno turističko mjesto Makarske rivijere, uklonjene su predivne palme koje su gotovo 80 godina krasile Podgoru i davale joj nezaboravan mediteranski štih, ali jednostavno se moralo napraviti tako, kazao nam je Anđelko Sumić, voditelj za komunalne djelatnosti pri Općini Podgora. On je bio na čelu dvodnevne akcije pilanja i uklanjanja podgorskih ljepotica koje je napao nezaustavljivi nametnik.

– Već dvije godine pokušavamo spasiti palme koje je zahvatila palmina pipa, ionako su bile stare, pa nije bilo drugog izbora nego ih ukloniti zbog same sigurnosti za građane, kako se naposljetku ne bi srušile. Svi bismo voljeli da to nismo morali uraditi, ali viša sila nas je na to natjerala. Kad smo uvidjeli da se palme neće spasiti, već prošle godine smo posadili nove, a namjera nam je uskoro posaditi i nove na mjestima gdje su bile stare palme. Namjeravamo ukloniti još nekoliko palmi na području općine Podgora u mjestu Živogošće – istaknuo je Anđelko Sumić.

Uz djelatnike Općine Podgora, u akciji uklanjanja oboljelih palmi sudjelovale su i tvrtke "Abesinac", "West" i "Led Optima" iz Makarske sa svojim kamionima i kranovima.
