"Nigdje na svijetu mediji nisu toliko slobodni kao u Turskoj. Ja sam potpuno siguran u to što govorim", rekao je Erdogan u govoru na konferenciji u Ankari koju je prenosila televizija, javlja agencija France Presse.

"Mediji su u Turskoj toliko slobodni da nitko u njima ne smije vrijeđati, govoriti loše o drugome, klevetati, koristiti rasističke izjave i govor mržnje što se ne tolerira ni u demokratskim zemljama", rekao je.

Te je komentare Turski predsjednik izgovorio dva tjedna nakon što je policija pokrenula operaciju protiv pristaša islamističkog propovjednika Fethullaha Gulena, bivšeg Erdoganova saveznika, koji živi u egzilu u SAD-u i glavni je protivnik predsjednika. Akcijama se ciljao prije svega list Zaman, jedan od najvećih turskih dnevnih listova.

Protuteroristička postrojba uhitila je u akcijama najmanje 24 ljudi, među kojima i jednog od glavnih čelnika televizijske postaje bliske Fethullahu Gulenu.

Erdogan je također, kako javlja Reuters, optužio zemlje Europske unije zbog kritika upućenih stanju slobode tiska u Turskoj te kazao da bi one umjesto toga trebale pronaći rješenje za povećanje islamofobije na kontinentu. "Mi nismo europski žrtveni jarci", rekao je Erdogan na konferenciji državnih službenika.

"Mi definitivno nismo zemlja na koju Europa može pokazati prstom i ukoriti je. Umjesto da nas kritizira, Europa bi trebala pronaći rješenje za rastući rasizam i islamofobiju", naglasio je.

Erdogan je u govoru ponovio svoju odlučnost da promijeni ustav, kazavši da će rezultati parlamentarnih izbora koji se trebaju održati sljedeće godine ubrzati taj proces.

"Zajedno s našim narodom i institucijama civilnog društva, rezultati izbora 7. lipnja utrt će put brzoj pripremi novog ustava", rekao je.

Erdogan ne krije ambiciju da promijeni ustav i ojača ulogu predsjednika. Rezultat parlamentarnih izbora u tom će smislu biti ključan.

Erdogan izjavio je u petak da su mediji u Turskoj najslobodniji na svijetu te je odbacio optužbe da njegov režim gazi medijske slobode.

"Nigdje na svijetu mediji nisu toliko slobodni kao u Turskoj. Ja sam potpuno siguran u to što govorim", rekao je Erdogan u govoru na konferenciji u Ankari koju je prenosila televizija, javlja agencija France Presse.

"Mediji su u Turskoj toliko slobodni da nitko u njima ne smije vrijeđati, govoriti loše o drugome, klevetati, koristiti rasističke izjave i govor mržnje što se ne tolerira ni u demokratskim zemljama", rekao je.

Te je komentare Turski predsjednik izgovorio dva tjedna nakon što je policija pokrenula operaciju protiv pristaša islamističkog propovjednika Fethullaha Gulena, bivšeg Erdoganova saveznika, koji živi u egzilu u SAD-u i glavni je protivnik predsjednika. Akcijama se ciljao prije svega list Zaman, jedan od najvećih turskih dnevnih listova.

Protuteroristička postrojba uhitila je u akcijama najmanje 24 ljudi, među kojima i jednog od glavnih čelnika televizijske postaje bliske Fethullahu Gulenu.

Erdogan je također, kako javlja Reuters, optužio zemlje Europske unije zbog kritika upućenih stanju slobode tiska u Turskoj te kazao da bi one umjesto toga trebale pronaći rješenje za povećanje islamofobije na kontinentu. "Mi nismo europski žrtveni jarci", rekao je Erdogan na konferenciji državnih službenika.

"Mi definitivno nismo zemlja na koju Europa može pokazati prstom i ukoriti je. Umjesto da nas kritizira, Europa bi trebala pronaći rješenje za rastući rasizam i islamofobiju", naglasio je.

Erdogan je u govoru ponovio svoju odlučnost da promijeni ustav, kazavši da će rezultati parlamentarnih izbora koji se trebaju održati sljedeće godine ubrzati taj proces.

"Zajedno s našim narodom i institucijama civilnog društva, rezultati izbora 7. lipnja utrt će put brzoj pripremi novog ustava", rekao je.

Erdogan ne krije ambiciju da promijeni ustav i ojača ulogu predsjednika. Rezultat parlamentarnih izbora u tom će smislu biti ključan.

Turski predsjednik Recep Tayyip Erdogan izjavio je u petak da su mediji u Turskoj najslobodniji na svijetu te je odbacio optužbe da njegov režim gazi medijske slobode.
