Recesija? Zacijelo se šalite... Prije nekoliko dana slika Pabla Picassa prodana je za 106 milijuna dolara postigavši tako svjetski rekord. A koliko stoji najskuplji automobil na svijetu? Odgovor je negdje oko 30 milijuna dolara... Riječ je o bugattiju type 57SC atlantic iz 1936. godine.
Naime, aukcijska kuća Gooding & Company objavila je prodaju talijanskog ljepotana po cijeni između 30 i 40 milijuna dolara, čime je ovaj automobil postao najskuplji na svijetu. Ekskluzivnost mu daje i činjenica da su proizvedena samo četiri takva automobila, od kojih svijet danas zna samo za tri primjerka.
Jedan je u vlasništvu poznatog dizajnera Ralpha Laurena, dok je model prodan na aukciji po rekordnoj cijeni pripadao Peteru Williamsonu, inače poznatom kolekcionaru ove marke talijanskih automobila koji je nedavno preminuo. Auto je dizajnirao sin vlasnika Ettorea Bugattija, Jean Bugatti, a automobil je građen na čeličnoj šasiji sa zanimljivim aluminijskim elementima karoserije, dok se ispod haube nalazi 3,2-litreni redni osmerocilindrični motor s 210 “konja”.

Toliko konja 950 kilograma laganog Bugattija sigurno ne čini pitomim. Naprotiv. Maksimalna brzina mu iznosi 200 kilometara na sat, dok mu za dosezanje “stotke” treba samo (za ono vrijeme odličnih) deset sekunda. S obzirom na dizajn, koji je i danas avangardan te na motor i performanse, teško je kazati koliko se glava tijekom povijesti okretalo za njim. Zanimljivo je kako je karoserija bugattija spojena isključivo zakovicama, nije varena...
Razlog tome jest revolucionarna slitina aluminija i magnezija koja je čvršća i lakša od običnog aluminija, ali i mnogo zapaljivija, tako da varenje spojeva nije dolazilo u obzir. Dosadašnji nositelj laskave titule najskupljeg automobila na svijetu držao je također Talijan - ferrari 250 testa rosa. Prije godinu dana bio je prodan za 12,2 milijuna dolara.

Recesija? Zacijelo se šalite... Prije nekoliko dana slika Pabla Picassa prodana je za 106 milijuna dolara postigavši tako svjetski rekord. A koliko stoji najskuplji automobil na svijetu? Odgovor je negdje oko 30 milijuna dolara... Riječ je o bugattiju type 57SC atlantic iz 1936. godine.
Naime, aukcijska kuća Gooding & Company objavila je prodaju talijanskog ljepotana po cijeni između 30 i 40 milijuna dolara, čime je ovaj automobil postao najskuplji na svijetu. Ekskluzivnost mu daje i činjenica da su proizvedena samo četiri takva automobila, od kojih svijet danas zna samo za tri primjerka.
Jedan je u vlasništvu poznatog dizajnera Ralpha Laurena, dok je model prodan na aukciji po rekordnoj cijeni pripadao Peteru Williamsonu, inače poznatom kolekcionaru ove marke talijanskih automobila koji je nedavno preminuo. Auto je dizajnirao sin vlasnika Ettorea Bugattija, Jean Bugatti, a automobil je građen na čeličnoj šasiji sa zanimljivim aluminijskim elementima karoserije, dok se ispod haube nalazi 3,2-litreni redni osmerocilindrični motor s 210 “konja”.

Toliko konja 950 kilograma laganog Bugattija sigurno ne čini pitomim. Naprotiv. Maksimalna brzina mu iznosi 200 kilometara na sat, dok mu za dosezanje “stotke” treba samo (za ono vrijeme odličnih) deset sekunda. S obzirom na dizajn, koji je i danas avangardan te na motor i performanse, teško je kazati koliko se glava tijekom povijesti okretalo za njim. Zanimljivo je kako je karoserija bugattija spojena isključivo zakovicama, nije varena...
Razlog tome jest revolucionarna slitina aluminija i magnezija koja je čvršća i lakša od običnog aluminija, ali i mnogo zapaljivija, tako da varenje spojeva nije dolazilo u obzir. Dosadašnji nositelj laskave titule najskupljeg automobila na svijetu držao je također Talijan - ferrari 250 testa rosa. Prije godinu dana bio je prodan za 12,2 milijuna dolara.
