"Krećemo rano jer se ruže moraju ubrati dok su još rosne, tada je rezultat najbolji", kaže Totka Hristova, beračica ruža u podnožju planine Balkan.



Nekoliko sati poslije njezin je rad završen. Kad se sunce uzdigne visoko, iznad nepreglednih ružičnjaka postaje prevruće i dragocjeno se ulje povlači u korijenje.

"Beremo samo potpuno otvorene ruže jer one daju najviše ulja. Ostale ostavljamo za sutradan", kaže ta umirovljenica koja spretno bere cvjetove i stavlja ih u torbu prebačenu oko struka.



Gotovo svi svjetski skupi parfemi sadrže ružino ulje.

Bugarska i susjedna Turska najveći su svjetski proizvođači. Umjerena klima i aluvijalno tlo pružaju idealne uvjete za uzgoj najboljih plodova, poput damašćanske ruže, izvorno iz Perzije.

Proces proizvodnje nije se promijenio iz vremena Osmanskog Carstva. Latice se odmah šalju u destilerije gdje se miješaju s vodom i kuhaju u golemim metalnim bačvama. Para se zatim kondenzira i redestilira u ulje.



Proces zahtijeva goleme količine latica. Dobar berač svakodnevno može ubrati 25 do 30 kilograma latica, a potrebno ih je 3500 kilograma za proizvodnju samo kilograma ulja.

Bugarska godišnje proizvede 1,5 tonu ružina ulja, za što treba 5,25 tona latica. Ruže se uzgajaju na 3800 hektara, smještenih uglavnom u dolini pokraj grada Kazanlaka.



"Tekuće zlato" pakira se u staklene bočice. Kilogram ružina ulja je skup i stoji između 6000 i 6500 eura (od 45 do 49 tisuća kuna), a završava u pogonima Diora, Chanela ili Estee Lauder.

Ružino ulje u parfeme se ne stavlja zbog arome već pomaže u povezivanju brojnih prirodnih i umjetnih sastojaka te povećava vrijeme zadržavanja mirisa na koži.



Zbog visoke cijene ružino ulje često se krivotvori. Bugarski proizvođači stoga su našli način kako zaštititi svoju izvornost. Prošlog listopada, nakon devetogodišnjeg procesa, "Bugarsko ružino ulje" uvršteno je na popis zaštićenih proizvoda geografskog porijekla EU-a.

"Krećemo rano jer se ruže moraju ubrati dok su još rosne, tada je rezultat najbolji", kaže Totka Hristova, beračica ruža u podnožju planine Balkan.



Nekoliko sati poslije njezin je rad završen. Kad se sunce uzdigne visoko, iznad nepreglednih ružičnjaka postaje prevruće i dragocjeno se ulje povlači u korijenje.

"Beremo samo potpuno otvorene ruže jer one daju najviše ulja. Ostale ostavljamo za sutradan", kaže ta umirovljenica koja spretno bere cvjetove i stavlja ih u torbu prebačenu oko struka.



Gotovo svi svjetski skupi parfemi sadrže ružino ulje.

Bugarska i susjedna Turska najveći su svjetski proizvođači. Umjerena klima i aluvijalno tlo pružaju idealne uvjete za uzgoj najboljih plodova, poput damašćanske ruže, izvorno iz Perzije.

Proces proizvodnje nije se promijenio iz vremena Osmanskog Carstva. Latice se odmah šalju u destilerije gdje se miješaju s vodom i kuhaju u golemim metalnim bačvama. Para se zatim kondenzira i redestilira u ulje.



Proces zahtijeva goleme količine latica. Dobar berač svakodnevno može ubrati 25 do 30 kilograma latica, a potrebno ih je 3500 kilograma za proizvodnju samo kilograma ulja.

Bugarska godišnje proizvede 1,5 tonu ružina ulja, za što treba 5,25 tona latica. Ruže se uzgajaju na 3800 hektara, smještenih uglavnom u dolini pokraj grada Kazanlaka.



"Tekuće zlato" pakira se u staklene bočice. Kilogram ružina ulja je skup i stoji između 6000 i 6500 eura (od 45 do 49 tisuća kuna), a završava u pogonima Diora, Chanela ili Estee Lauder.

Ružino ulje u parfeme se ne stavlja zbog arome već pomaže u povezivanju brojnih prirodnih i umjetnih sastojaka te povećava vrijeme zadržavanja mirisa na koži.



Zbog visoke cijene ružino ulje često se krivotvori. Bugarski proizvođači stoga su našli način kako zaštititi svoju izvornost. Prošlog listopada, nakon devetogodišnjeg procesa, "Bugarsko ružino ulje" uvršteno je na popis zaštićenih proizvoda geografskog porijekla EU-a.
