Austrijski mediji objavili su jučer vijest da je u Beču razbijena organizirana grupa koja se bavila prostitucijom, a da je njezin vođa bio 39-godišnji Richard Steiner, inače hrvatski državljanin.
Kako su objavili mediji, osim njega uhićen je i izvjesni Duško R., zvani Roki, koji je figurirao kao Steinerova desna ruka u organizaciji i funkcioniranju lanca prostitucije, kao i još devet članova organizacije.
Osim za organiziranje prostitucije, grupu predvođenu Hrvatom sumnjiči se i za pranje novca i reketarenje, a policija je prisluškivanjem njihovih telefonskih razgovora tijekom istrage došla i do informacija da planiraju izvršiti dva ubojstva, no nije poznato čija. Steiner nije nepoznat austrijskoj javnosti. Još 2007. godine za njega je čula većina koja u Austriji prakticira takozvanu vegan prehranu.
U raznim časopisima Steiner se fotografirao zajedno sa svojom 28-godišnjom suprugom Milenom, podrijetlom iz Srbije. I tada su ga već prozivali “crvenim kraljem” i “bečkim šefom”, a on sam se oglašavao na raznim internetskim forumima i pisao o sebi kao o “živom dokazu da vegani nisu ništa slabiji od onih koji jedu meso, nego su, naprotiv, čak i snažniji”.
U intervjuu koji je 2009. godine dao za austrijski list “News. at” predstavljen je kao “šef šefova u Austriji” i čovjek bez kojega ne prolazi ni jedan posao u crvenoj četvrti austrijske prijestolnice. Steiner je tada kazao da je on “diplomat” na podzemnoj sceni Beča, te da pretpostavlja da je titulu “austrijskoga Don Corleonea” dobio zbog toga što poznaje sve važnije ljude u “takozvanom podzemlju Austrije i Europe”.
− Ja sam biznismen koji ima moćne prijatelje. To su ljudi mnogih nacionalnosti, od turske, kurdske, hebrejske, čečenske, albanske, talijanske, čak i kineske. Imam mnoge prijatelje koji me vole i s kojima normalno komuniciram, jedino kad se nešto dogodi, tada je razgovor malo oštriji − objašnjavao je Steiner.
Predstavio se kao budist i čovjek koji probleme uvijek nastoji riješiti bez nasilja. Na pitanje novinara što da učini kad se nađe u problemima noću u Beču, koga da zove, njega ili policiju, Steiner je odgovorio da je pametnije zvati “njegove prijatelje”.
Također se u tom intervjuu žalio na postupanje austrijske policije koja je, kazao je, njega i njegove prijatelje bez razloga pratila, pritvarala i maltretirala, a budući da su optužbe uvijek bile neutemeljene, nakon nekoliko mjeseci bili bi pušteni na slobodu.
− Neki su se policajci kleli da će me uhvatiti “još ove godine”. Zašto? Ja plaćam porez ovoj zemlji, nisam diler niti ponižavam ljude u Austriji − čudio se tada Steiner koji je, evo, opet završio iza rešetaka.

Austrijski mediji objavili su jučer vijest da je u Beču razbijena organizirana grupa koja se bavila prostitucijom, a da je njezin vođa bio 39-godišnji Richard Steiner, inače hrvatski državljanin.
Kako su objavili mediji, osim njega uhićen je i izvjesni Duško R., zvani Roki, koji je figurirao kao Steinerova desna ruka u organizaciji i funkcioniranju lanca prostitucije, kao i još devet članova organizacije.
Osim za organiziranje prostitucije, grupu predvođenu Hrvatom sumnjiči se i za pranje novca i reketarenje, a policija je prisluškivanjem njihovih telefonskih razgovora tijekom istrage došla i do informacija da planiraju izvršiti dva ubojstva, no nije poznato čija. Steiner nije nepoznat austrijskoj javnosti. Još 2007. godine za njega je čula većina koja u Austriji prakticira takozvanu vegan prehranu.
U raznim časopisima Steiner se fotografirao zajedno sa svojom 28-godišnjom suprugom Milenom, podrijetlom iz Srbije. I tada su ga već prozivali “crvenim kraljem” i “bečkim šefom”, a on sam se oglašavao na raznim internetskim forumima i pisao o sebi kao o “živom dokazu da vegani nisu ništa slabiji od onih koji jedu meso, nego su, naprotiv, čak i snažniji”.
U intervjuu koji je 2009. godine dao za austrijski list “News. at” predstavljen je kao “šef šefova u Austriji” i čovjek bez kojega ne prolazi ni jedan posao u crvenoj četvrti austrijske prijestolnice. Steiner je tada kazao da je on “diplomat” na podzemnoj sceni Beča, te da pretpostavlja da je titulu “austrijskoga Don Corleonea” dobio zbog toga što poznaje sve važnije ljude u “takozvanom podzemlju Austrije i Europe”.
− Ja sam biznismen koji ima moćne prijatelje. To su ljudi mnogih nacionalnosti, od turske, kurdske, hebrejske, čečenske, albanske, talijanske, čak i kineske. Imam mnoge prijatelje koji me vole i s kojima normalno komuniciram, jedino kad se nešto dogodi, tada je razgovor malo oštriji − objašnjavao je Steiner.
Predstavio se kao budist i čovjek koji probleme uvijek nastoji riješiti bez nasilja. Na pitanje novinara što da učini kad se nađe u problemima noću u Beču, koga da zove, njega ili policiju, Steiner je odgovorio da je pametnije zvati “njegove prijatelje”.
Također se u tom intervjuu žalio na postupanje austrijske policije koja je, kazao je, njega i njegove prijatelje bez razloga pratila, pritvarala i maltretirala, a budući da su optužbe uvijek bile neutemeljene, nakon nekoliko mjeseci bili bi pušteni na slobodu.
− Neki su se policajci kleli da će me uhvatiti “još ove godine”. Zašto? Ja plaćam porez ovoj zemlji, nisam diler niti ponižavam ljude u Austriji − čudio se tada Steiner koji je, evo, opet završio iza rešetaka.
