Rusija je pokopala 18-godišnjeg ročnika - svoju najmlađu žrtvu ukrajinskog rata dosad - u jeku optužbi oko slanja tinejdžerskih vojnika kao topovskog mesa.
Jegor Počkajenko ubijen je dan prije svog 19. rođendana, nakon što je poslan tisućama kilometara daleko od kuće kako bi se borio u sukobu Vladimira Putina, prenosi Daily Mail.
On je jedan od rijetkih poginulih ruskih vojnika čiji je identitet javno objavljen.
Rusija nije uspjela dati pouzdane brojke o svojim gubicima u ratu, koji i dalje naziva "posebnom vojnom operacijom", ali SAD procjenjuje da je broj žrtava do 6.000, s golemim brojem ranjenih.
Počajenko je proglašen herojem u svom rodnom gradu Belogorsku u Amurskoj regiji, ali priznanje njegove smrti dolazi usred spora oko raspoređivanja ročnika, od kojih su se neki navodno prisiljeni prijaviti kao vojnici po ugovoru.
Putin je javno zanijekao da su ročnici - obično u dobi od 18 i 19 godina - raspoređivani u Ukrajini.
No, proturječilo mu je vlastito ministarstvo obrane, čiji je glasnogovornik Igor Konašenkov priznao: "Nažalost, otkrili smo nekoliko slučajeva prisutnosti ročnika u ruskim postrojbama koje sudjeluju u specijalnoj vojnoj operaciji u Ukrajini. Gotovo svi ti vojnici vraćeni su u Rusiju".
To je razbjesnilo Putina, koji je tražio od glavnog vojnog tužitelja da ispita dokaze i "kažnjava dužnosnike" odgovorne za raspoređene ročnike u Ukrajini.
Počkajenko je - unatoč svojoj mladoj dobi - navodno bio vojnik po ugovoru koji je ranije bio regrutiran.

Rusija je pokopala 18-godišnjeg ročnika - svoju najmlađu žrtvu ukrajinskog rata dosad - u jeku optužbi oko slanja tinejdžerskih vojnika kao topovskog mesa.
Jegor Počkajenko ubijen je dan prije svog 19. rođendana, nakon što je poslan tisućama kilometara daleko od kuće kako bi se borio u sukobu Vladimira Putina, prenosi Daily Mail.
On je jedan od rijetkih poginulih ruskih vojnika čiji je identitet javno objavljen.
