 Opuzen slavi blagdan Svetog Stjepana i Dan Grada. Opuzenska Pjaca i kalete oživjele su a blagdansko raspoloženje i šušur mogu se osjetiti u svakom kutku grada. Na tradicionalnom derneku moglo naći svega, doslovno od igle do lokomotive.---

--- Rukotvorine starih već zaboravljenih zanata, plijenile su pozornost radoznalih «dernekaša», koji su već tradicionalno iz čitave doline Neretve pristigli u Opuzen. Drugi je to veliki dernek nakon Svetog Ilije u Metkoviću, slijedi zatim Ledena Gospa u Vidu 5. kolovoza te Velika Gospa na Velikom Prologu čime završavaju ljetne fešte i derneci u ovom kraju.

Ipak na dan zaštitnika grada Opuzena, Svetog Stipana, središnji događaj bila je koncelebrirana sveta misa u svečevoj crkvi koju je predvodio mons. Martin Vidović naslovni nadbiskup ninski i bivši apostolski nuncij u Bjelorusiji. Istaknuo je da je Sveti Stjepan bio prvi je kršćanski mučenik.. Vjernici su došli pokloniti se kipu Prvomučenika Stjepana, koji se u Opuzenu štuje od 1716 godine.---

Prema povijesnim spisima, te je godine podignuta mala i neugledna crkvica, nakon što je stanovništvo stare Gabele, pred najezdom Turaka napustilo svoje mjesto i nastanilo se u donjem Poneretlju. Župa je osnovana odmah po doseljenju ljudi, koji su bježeći, sa sobom donijeli običaje i kip Svetog Stjepana.

 Opuzen slavi blagdan Svetog Stjepana i Dan Grada. Opuzenska Pjaca i kalete oživjele su a blagdansko raspoloženje i šušur mogu se osjetiti u svakom kutku grada. Na tradicionalnom derneku moglo naći svega, doslovno od igle do lokomotive.---

--- Rukotvorine starih već zaboravljenih zanata, plijenile su pozornost radoznalih «dernekaša», koji su već tradicionalno iz čitave doline Neretve pristigli u Opuzen. Drugi je to veliki dernek nakon Svetog Ilije u Metkoviću, slijedi zatim Ledena Gospa u Vidu 5. kolovoza te Velika Gospa na Velikom Prologu čime završavaju ljetne fešte i derneci u ovom kraju.

Ipak na dan zaštitnika grada Opuzena, Svetog Stipana, središnji događaj bila je koncelebrirana sveta misa u svečevoj crkvi koju je predvodio mons. Martin Vidović naslovni nadbiskup ninski i bivši apostolski nuncij u Bjelorusiji. Istaknuo je da je Sveti Stjepan bio prvi je kršćanski mučenik.. Vjernici su došli pokloniti se kipu Prvomučenika Stjepana, koji se u Opuzenu štuje od 1716 godine.---

Prema povijesnim spisima, te je godine podignuta mala i neugledna crkvica, nakon što je stanovništvo stare Gabele, pred najezdom Turaka napustilo svoje mjesto i nastanilo se u donjem Poneretlju. Župa je osnovana odmah po doseljenju ljudi, koji su bježeći, sa sobom donijeli običaje i kip Svetog Stjepana.

 Opuzen slavi blagdan Svetog Stjepana i Dan Grada. Opuzenska Pjaca i kalete oživjele su a blagdansko raspoloženje i šušur mogu se osjetiti u svakom kutku grada. Na tradicionalnom derneku moglo naći svega, doslovno od igle do lokomotive.

Sveti Stipan Opuzen

Rukotvorine starih već zaboravljenih zanata, plijenile su pozornost radoznalih «dernekaša», koji su već tradicionalno iz čitave doline Neretve pristigli u Opuzen. Drugi je to veliki dernek nakon Svetog Ilije u Metkoviću, slijedi zatim Ledena Gospa u Vidu 5. kolovoza te Velika Gospa na Velikom Prologu čime završavaju ljetne fešte i derneci u ovom kraju.

Ipak na dan zaštitnika grada Opuzena, Svetog Stipana, središnji događaj bila je koncelebrirana sveta misa u svečevoj crkvi koju je predvodio mons. Martin Vidović naslovni nadbiskup ninski i bivši apostolski nuncij u Bjelorusiji. Istaknuo je da je Sveti Stjepan bio prvi je kršćanski mučenik.. Vjernici su došli pokloniti se kipu Prvomučenika Stjepana, koji se u Opuzenu štuje od 1716 godine.

Sveti Stipan Opuzen

Prema povijesnim spisima, te je godine podignuta mala i neugledna crkvica, nakon što je stanovništvo stare Gabele, pred najezdom Turaka napustilo svoje mjesto i nastanilo se u donjem Poneretlju. Župa je osnovana odmah po doseljenju ljudi, koji su bježeći, sa sobom donijeli običaje i kip Svetog Stjepana.
