Kiša je donijela toliko željeno osvježenje ali ipak sa ovakvim vremenskim (ne)prilikama nisu svi zadovoljni. U problemima su proizvođači smokava posebno oni koji smokve suše na starinski način. Smokve su povukle vodu pa pucaju i nisu za sušenje.---

--- Ako ponovno zagrije dio uroda bi se mogao i spasiti, no ako ostane ovako vlažno i hladnije vrijeme smokve na stablima će propasti. Urod smokava ovog ljeta različit je od područja do područja. U okolici Ploča, općini Slivno i Pojezerju, Zažablju, smokve su dobro rodile, urod je zadovoljavajući kao i kvaliteta. Međutim na područjima oko Metkovića krupa koja je pala u srpnju uništila je dosta uroda. Stradali su nasadi prema Vidu.

Tomislav Šiljeg, proizvođač smokava tako nije zadovoljan ovom godinom.

- Kišna je godina. Previše je vlage, smokve su dosta popucale-kaže nam.

Ovog ljeta cijena smokava je dobra i smokve se traže ali kod njega je nažalost krupa obrala dio uroda.

Suha smokva ove jeseni će najvjerojatnije biti oko 8 EUR-a, jer se svježa prodavala po cijeni od 2 do 3 EUR-a.

Tomislav ima mlade plantaže. Prošle godine je ubrao dvanaest do trinaest tona kvalitetnih smokava. Ove godine je očekivao urod od barem petnaestak tona svježih smokava, ali vremenske neprilike su učinile svoje.

Trenutačno ne razmišlja o povećanju proizvodnje i širenju plantaža.

Sušioka, Bjelica,Bružetka bijela,Bružetka crna,Padovanka bijela,Petrovača bijela,Petrovača crna,Šaraguja, Signora,Termenjača,Vodenjača,Zimica-najpoznatije su sorte smokava koje su se mogle naći u svakom dalmatinskom vrtu i okućnici. Sadile su se uz rubove vinograda i maslinika, služile su za hladovinu u vrućim ljetnim danima a slatkim plodovima radovala su se djeca i odrasli. Smokva se jede svježa, ali već u drugoj polovini kolovoza kreće sušenje smokava-prerada smokve na prirodan način u trajni proizvod koji će biti dostupan tijekom čitave godine. Smokva voli tropske temperature, ona je " toploljubiva" voćna vrsta. Manje je otporna na hladnoću ali može podnijeti zimske temperature do -15 °C. Agronomi smatraju da si idealni uvjeti za proizvodnju smokava pri temperaturi od 35 °C bez oborina. Smokva tada daje izvrsne proizvodne rezultate sa visokom kvalitetom plodova.

Kiša je donijela toliko željeno osvježenje ali ipak sa ovakvim vremenskim (ne)prilikama nisu svi zadovoljni. U problemima su proizvođači smokava posebno oni koji smokve suše na starinski način. Smokve su povukle vodu pa pucaju i nisu za sušenje.---

--- Ako ponovno zagrije dio uroda bi se mogao i spasiti, no ako ostane ovako vlažno i hladnije vrijeme smokve na stablima će propasti. Urod smokava ovog ljeta različit je od područja do područja. U okolici Ploča, općini Slivno i Pojezerju, Zažablju, smokve su dobro rodile, urod je zadovoljavajući kao i kvaliteta. Međutim na područjima oko Metkovića krupa koja je pala u srpnju uništila je dosta uroda. Stradali su nasadi prema Vidu.

Tomislav Šiljeg, proizvođač smokava tako nije zadovoljan ovom godinom.

- Kišna je godina. Previše je vlage, smokve su dosta popucale-kaže nam.

Ovog ljeta cijena smokava je dobra i smokve se traže ali kod njega je nažalost krupa obrala dio uroda.

Suha smokva ove jeseni će najvjerojatnije biti oko 8 EUR-a, jer se svježa prodavala po cijeni od 2 do 3 EUR-a.

Tomislav ima mlade plantaže. Prošle godine je ubrao dvanaest do trinaest tona kvalitetnih smokava. Ove godine je očekivao urod od barem petnaestak tona svježih smokava, ali vremenske neprilike su učinile svoje.

Trenutačno ne razmišlja o povećanju proizvodnje i širenju plantaža.

- Za sada stojimo na 800 stabala smokava-zaključuje Tomislav Šiljeg.

Sušioka, Bjelica,Bružetka bijela,Bružetka crna,Padovanka bijela,Petrovača bijela,Petrovača crna,Šaraguja, Signora,Termenjača,Vodenjača,Zimica-najpoznatije su sorte smokava koje su se mogle naći u svakom dalmatinskom vrtu i okućnici. Sadile su se uz rubove vinograda i maslinika, služile su za hladovinu u vrućim ljetnim danima a slatkim plodovima radovala su se djeca i odrasli. Smokva se jede svježa, ali već u drugoj polovini kolovoza kreće sušenje smokava-prerada smokve na prirodan način u trajni proizvod koji će biti dostupan tijekom čitave godine. Smokva voli tropske temperature, ona je " toploljubiva" voćna vrsta. Manje je otporna na hladnoću ali može podnijeti zimske temperature do -15 °C. Agronomi smatraju da si idealni uvjeti za proizvodnju smokava pri temperaturi od 35 °C bez oborina. Smokva tada daje izvrsne proizvodne rezultate sa visokom kvalitetom plodova.
