Načelnik Općine Konavle Božo Lasić na katoličkom groblju u Istanbulu odao je počast Jakovu Pervitiću, kartografu koji je ostavio veliki trag u Turskoj, a porijeklom je bio upravo iz Konavala.

Načelnik Lasić u Istanbulu sudjeluje u radu konferencije NALAS-a, asocijacije lokalnih samouprava, a ovom prilikom odlučio je iskoristiti slobodno vrijeme kako bi odao počast ovom Konavljaninu, nepoznatom široj javnosti.

”Konavljani su u cijelom svijetu ostavili značaj trag, a za puno takvih slučajeva se nažalost ne zna. Jakov Pervitić je jedan o takvih ljudi i stoga sam si morao dati truda naći njegov grob u Istanbulu kako bi mu se poklonio”, rekao je ovom prilikom načelnik Lasić.

Jakov Pervitić (fran. Jacques Pervititch) porijeklom je iz Močića, odnosno Cavtata. Ogranak obitelji Pervitić preselio se u 18. stoljeću iz Močića u Cavtat, dok se iz Cavtata Petar Pervitić, pomorac po zanimanju, nastanio u Istanbulu sa svojom obitelji. Petar je imao sina Jakova koji se rodio 1877. godine i koji je bio izvanredan kartograf te je izradio sjajne karte Istanbula.

Pervitić je u Istanbulu studirao u francuskoj višoj privatnoj školi St. Joseph, gdje je i diplomirao 1895. godine. Već je prilikom studiranja pokazao svoju nadarenost te je bio jedan od ponajboljih učenika u školi. Pervitić je crtao kartografske karte Carigrada s nevjerojatnom preciznošću, ucrtavajući i najsitnije detalje kvartova i kuća u Carigradu te čak je i bilježio od kakvog su materijala građene pojedine zgrade.

Svi podaci koje je Jakov bilježio bili su potrebni pojedinim osiguravajućim tvrtkama koje su u to vrijeme egzistirale u gradu kako bi imale naznačena područja opasnosti od požara. Također, takvi su podaci bili prijeko potrebni i vatrogascima. No, prvotnu namjenu ovih karata nadživjela je sasvim druga namjena.

Pervitićeve karte vrlo su važan izvor urbane povijesti Istanbula te se i danas koriste kao vrlo vrijedan izvor povijesti arhitekture grada na Bosporu. O Pervitiću je najviše pisala mlada turska znanstvenica Müsemma Sabancioğlu te je izdala knjigu Istanbul in the Insurance Maps of Jacques Pervitich. No, budući da se nisu očuvali arhivi osiguravajućih kuća za koje je Pervitić radio danas smo uskraćeni za podatke koji bi nam osvijetlili njegov život.

Načelnik Općine Konavle Božo Lasić na katoličkom groblju u Istanbulu odao je počast Jakovu Pervitiću, kartografu koji je ostavio veliki trag u Turskoj, a porijeklom je bio upravo iz Konavala.

Načelnik Lasić u Istanbulu sudjeluje u radu konferencije NALAS-a, asocijacije lokalnih samouprava, a ovom prilikom odlučio je iskoristiti slobodno vrijeme kako bi odao počast ovom Konavljaninu, nepoznatom široj javnosti.

”Konavljani su u cijelom svijetu ostavili značaj trag, a za puno takvih slučajeva se nažalost ne zna. Jakov Pervitić je jedan o takvih ljudi i stoga sam si morao dati truda naći njegov grob u Istanbulu kako bi mu se poklonio”, rekao je ovom prilikom načelnik Lasić.

Jakov Pervitić (fran. Jacques Pervititch) porijeklom je iz Močića, odnosno Cavtata. Ogranak obitelji Pervitić preselio se u 18. stoljeću iz Močića u Cavtat, dok se iz Cavtata Petar Pervitić, pomorac po zanimanju, nastanio u Istanbulu sa svojom obitelji. Petar je imao sina Jakova koji se rodio 1877. godine i koji je bio izvanredan kartograf te je izradio sjajne karte Istanbula.

Pervitić je u Istanbulu studirao u francuskoj višoj privatnoj školi St. Joseph, gdje je i diplomirao 1895. godine. Već je prilikom studiranja pokazao svoju nadarenost te je bio jedan od ponajboljih učenika u školi. Pervitić je crtao kartografske karte Carigrada s nevjerojatnom preciznošću, ucrtavajući i najsitnije detalje kvartova i kuća u Carigradu te čak je i bilježio od kakvog su materijala građene pojedine zgrade.

Svi podaci koje je Jakov bilježio bili su potrebni pojedinim osiguravajućim tvrtkama koje su u to vrijeme egzistirale u gradu kako bi imale naznačena područja opasnosti od požara. Također, takvi su podaci bili prijeko potrebni i vatrogascima. No, prvotnu namjenu ovih karata nadživjela je sasvim druga namjena.

Pervitićeve karte vrlo su važan izvor urbane povijesti Istanbula te se i danas koriste kao vrlo vrijedan izvor povijesti arhitekture grada na Bosporu. O Pervitiću je najviše pisala mlada turska znanstvenica Müsemma Sabancioğlu te je izdala knjigu Istanbul in the Insurance Maps of Jacques Pervitich. No, budući da se nisu očuvali arhivi osiguravajućih kuća za koje je Pervitić radio danas smo uskraćeni za podatke koji bi nam osvijetlili njegov život.

Načelnik Općine Konavle Božo Lasić na katoličkom groblju u Istanbulu odao je počast Jakovu Pervitiću, kartografu koji je ostavio veliki trag u Turskoj, a porijeklom je bio upravo iz Konavala.

Načelnik Lasić u Istanbulu sudjeluje u radu konferencije NALAS-a, asocijacije lokalnih samouprava, a ovom prilikom odlučio je iskoristiti slobodno vrijeme kako bi odao počast ovom Konavljaninu, nepoznatom široj javnosti.

”Konavljani su u cijelom svijetu ostavili značaj trag, a za puno takvih slučajeva se nažalost ne zna. Jakov Pervitić je jedan o takvih ljudi i stoga sam si morao dati truda naći njegov grob u Istanbulu kako bi mu se poklonio”, rekao je ovom prilikom načelnik Lasić.
