Glavni tajnik Sindikata pomoraca Hrvatske Neven Melvan je u ime Međunarodne pomorske organizacije (IMO) kapetanu Pavi Butijeru uručio posebnu pohvalnicu za iznimnu hrabrost za spašavanje na moru. 

Kapetan Pavo Butijer je zapovijedajući japanskim tankerom Towada, brodara NYK, 3. prosinca 2019. na Indijskom oceanu rukovodio spašavanjem 34 indijska ribara s tri ribarice kojima je prijetilo potonuće u olujnoj noći. Nenajavljena ciklona iznenadila je veći broj indijskih ribarskih brodova udaljenih 230 – 300 milja od zapadne obale Indije. Jaka kiša, valovi od 5 metara i vjetar jačine 37 čvorova nisu predstavljali opasnost za Towadu (333 m), ali je to bila pogibeljna situacija za indijske drvene ribarice dugačke oko 15 metara, koje nije bilo moguće vidjeti ni na radaru. Dodatni problem je predstavljala nemogućnost komunikacije, jer nitko od ribara nije znao engleski jezik dovoljno dobro da bi se mogli sporazumijevati, pa je razgovor išao preko zapovjednika jednog indijskog tankera.

Nagrada IMO-a za hrabrost dodjeljuje se u tri kategorije: glavna nagrada, pohvalnice i pisma pohvale. 

Podsjetimo, kapetan Butijer je za navedeni poduhvat spašavanja dobio i Plavu vrpcu Vjesnika 2020.

Glavni tajnik Sindikata pomoraca Hrvatske Neven Melvan je u ime Međunarodne pomorske organizacije (IMO) kapetanu Pavi Butijeru uručio posebnu pohvalnicu za iznimnu hrabrost za spašavanje na moru. 

Kapetan Pavo Butijer je zapovijedajući japanskim tankerom Towada, brodara NYK, 3. prosinca 2019. na Indijskom oceanu rukovodio spašavanjem 34 indijska ribara s tri ribarice kojima je prijetilo potonuće u olujnoj noći. Nenajavljena ciklona iznenadila je veći broj indijskih ribarskih brodova udaljenih 230 – 300 milja od zapadne obale Indije. Jaka kiša, valovi od 5 metara i vjetar jačine 37 čvorova nisu predstavljali opasnost za Towadu (333 m), ali je to bila pogibeljna situacija za indijske drvene ribarice dugačke oko 15 metara, koje nije bilo moguće vidjeti ni na radaru. Dodatni problem je predstavljala nemogućnost komunikacije, jer nitko od ribara nije znao engleski jezik dovoljno dobro da bi se mogli sporazumijevati, pa je razgovor išao preko zapovjednika jednog indijskog tankera.

Nagrada IMO-a za hrabrost dodjeljuje se u tri kategorije: glavna nagrada, pohvalnice i pisma pohvale. 

Podsjetimo, kapetan Butijer je za navedeni poduhvat spašavanja dobio i Plavu vrpcu Vjesnika 2020.

Glavni tajnik Sindikata pomoraca Hrvatske Neven Melvan je u ime Međunarodne pomorske organizacije (IMO) kapetanu Pavi Butijeru uručio posebnu pohvalnicu za iznimnu hrabrost za spašavanje na moru. 

Kapetan Pavo Butijer je zapovijedajući japanskim tankerom Towada, brodara NYK, 3. prosinca 2019. na Indijskom oceanu rukovodio spašavanjem 34 indijska ribara s tri ribarice kojima je prijetilo potonuće u olujnoj noći. Nenajavljena ciklona iznenadila je veći broj indijskih ribarskih brodova udaljenih 230 – 300 milja od zapadne obale Indije. Jaka kiša, valovi od 5 metara i vjetar jačine 37 čvorova nisu predstavljali opasnost za Towadu (333 m), ali je to bila pogibeljna situacija za indijske drvene ribarice dugačke oko 15 metara, koje nije bilo moguće vidjeti ni na radaru. Dodatni problem je predstavljala nemogućnost komunikacije, jer nitko od ribara nije znao engleski jezik dovoljno dobro da bi se mogli sporazumijevati, pa je razgovor išao preko zapovjednika jednog indijskog tankera.

Nagrada IMO-a za hrabrost dodjeljuje se u tri kategorije: glavna nagrada, pohvalnice i pisma pohvale. 

Podsjetimo, kapetan Butijer je za navedeni poduhvat spašavanja dobio i Plavu vrpcu Vjesnika 2020.
