Mnogim kršćanima Biblija je orijentir i vodič kroz život, baš kao i Isus Krist. Neki od njih idu toliko daleko da pokušavaju oponašati ono što je zapisano u Bibliji, naročito u vrijeme najvećega kršćanskoga blagdana Uskrsa, prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

Neki tako pokušavaju slijediti Isusov 40-dnevni post bez hrane i vode koji je opisan u Bibliji. To je pokušao i 39-godišnji svećenik iz Mozambika Francisco Barajah, osnivač Evangeličke crkve Santa Trinidad. Nakon 25 dana bez hrane i vode on je toliko smršavio da više nije mogao stajati na nogama.

Rodbina i pratitelji inzistirali su da ode u bolnicu. Liječnici su utvrdili da ima akutnu anemiju i da mu otkazuju organi. Pokušali su ga oživjeti serumima i davali mu tekuću hranu, no bilo je prekasno - preminuo je 15. veljače u bolnici u gradu Bera, izvještava Jose Tembe za BBC.

Francisco Barajah bio je učitelj francuskog jezika u gradu Mesika, blizu granice sa Zimbabveom. Članovi crkve rekli su da su svećenik i njegovi sljedbenici postili i prije, ali nikada ovoliko dugo. Njegov brat potvrdio je da je Francisco prije toga postio, ali je osporio medicinsku dijagnozu bratove smrti. "Istina je da je moj brat imao nizak krvni tlak", rekao je on.

Ovo nije prvi put da netko pokušava oponašati Isusov 40-dnevni post u pustinji, opisan u Evanđelju po Mateju. Lokalni mediji pisali su o čovjeku iz Zimbabvea koji je preminuo prije osam godina nakon 30 dana posta. Nešto slično dogodilo se 2006. godine u Londonu, kada je britanski liječnik pronašao ženu koja je umrla na pola posta, piše BBC.

Ovi slučajevi trebali bi biti upozoravajući za sve koji bi željeli slijepo slijediti daleke i visoke uzore iz Biblije. Vjera se može živjeti i na drugačiji, manje doslovan i opasan način.

Mnogim kršćanima Biblija je orijentir i vodič kroz život, baš kao i Isus Krist. Neki od njih idu toliko daleko da pokušavaju oponašati ono što je zapisano u Bibliji, naročito u vrijeme najvećega kršćanskoga blagdana Uskrsa, prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

Neki tako pokušavaju slijediti Isusov 40-dnevni post bez hrane i vode koji je opisan u Bibliji. To je pokušao i 39-godišnji svećenik iz Mozambika Francisco Barajah, osnivač Evangeličke crkve Santa Trinidad. Nakon 25 dana bez hrane i vode on je toliko smršavio da više nije mogao stajati na nogama.

Rodbina i pratitelji inzistirali su da ode u bolnicu. Liječnici su utvrdili da ima akutnu anemiju i da mu otkazuju organi. Pokušali su ga oživjeti serumima i davali mu tekuću hranu, no bilo je prekasno - preminuo je 15. veljače u bolnici u gradu Bera, izvještava Jose Tembe za BBC.

Ovo nije prvi put da netko pokušava oponašati Isusov 40-dnevni post u pustinji, opisan u Evanđelju po Mateju. Lokalni mediji pisali su o čovjeku iz Zimbabvea koji je preminuo prije osam godina nakon 30 dana posta. Nešto slično dogodilo se 2006. godine u Londonu, kada je britanski liječnik pronašao ženu koja je umrla na pola posta, piše BBC.

Ovi slučajevi trebali bi biti upozoravajući za sve koji bi željeli slijepo slijediti daleke i visoke uzore iz Biblije. Vjera se može živjeti i na drugačiji, manje doslovan i opasan način.

Mnogim kršćanima Biblija je orijentir i vodič kroz život, baš kao i Isus Krist. Neki od njih idu toliko daleko da pokušavaju oponašati ono što je zapisano u Bibliji, naročito u vrijeme najvećega kršćanskoga blagdana Uskrsa, prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

Neki tako pokušavaju slijediti Isusov 40-dnevni post bez hrane i vode koji je opisan u Bibliji. To je pokušao i 39-godišnji svećenik iz Mozambika Francisco Barajah, osnivač Evangeličke crkve Santa Trinidad. Nakon 25 dana bez hrane i vode on je toliko smršavio da više nije mogao stajati na nogama.

Rodbina i pratitelji inzistirali su da ode u bolnicu. Liječnici su utvrdili da ima akutnu anemiju i da mu otkazuju organi. Pokušali su ga oživjeti serumima i davali mu tekuću hranu, no bilo je prekasno - preminuo je 15. veljače u bolnici u gradu Bera, izvještava Jose Tembe za BBC.
