Što se dublje ide, to je više vode iznad koja pritišće, piše BBC i dodaje da je nejasno što je točno uzrokovalo imploziju podmornice Titan, no da stručnjaci tvrde da je do implozije moglo doći zbog malog slabljenja njezinog vanjskog trupa.

Tlak koji se osjeća na razini mora je približno 6,6 kilograma tlaka po kvadratnom inču. Taj se tlak povećava za cijelu atmosferu za svakih 10 metara dubine vode. Stoga je na dubini od 3000 metara, što je otprilike tamo gdje je podmornica bila, tlak oko 300 puta veći od tlaka na površini mora, donosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

Olupina Titanica nalazi se u takozvanoj ‘Ponoćnoj zoni‘, na dubini između 3300 i 13100 stopa. Temperatura tamo je otprilike četiri stupnja Celzijeva, a tlak je barem 100 puta veći od tlaka na razini mora. Vrlo je malo životinja koje su se prilagodile takvim uvjetima života i koje mogu preživjeti tako ekstremni pritisak, tamu i hladnoću.

Smrt je bila brza

Što se dublje ide, to je više vode iznad koja pritišće, piše BBC i dodaje da je nejasno što je točno uzrokovalo imploziju podmornice Titan, no da stručnjaci tvrde da je do implozije moglo doći zbog malog slabljenja njezinog vanjskog trupa.

Tlak koji se osjeća na razini mora je približno 6,6 kilograma tlaka po kvadratnom inču. Taj se tlak povećava za cijelu atmosferu za svakih 10 metara dubine vode. Stoga je na dubini od 3000 metara, što je otprilike tamo gdje je podmornica bila, tlak oko 300 puta veći od tlaka na površini mora, donosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

Olupina Titanica nalazi se u takozvanoj ‘Ponoćnoj zoni‘, na dubini između 3300 i 13100 stopa. Temperatura tamo je otprilike četiri stupnja Celzijeva, a tlak je barem 100 puta veći od tlaka na razini mora. Vrlo je malo životinja koje su se prilagodile takvim uvjetima života i koje mogu preživjeti tako ekstremni pritisak, tamu i hladnoću.

Smrt je bila brza

Članovi posade Titana umrli bi odmah u slučaju implozije, rekao je za BBC bivši liječnik američke mornarice Dale Mole i dodao da putnici u tom slučaju ne bi ni znali da postoji neki problem.

Da su ostali zarobljeni u podmornici, to bi bila daleko gora opcija, kaže Mole.

- Možete samo zamisliti kako bi to bilo. Hladno je, ponestaje ti kisika... Ako već ne možemo spasiti njihove živote, ovo je najbolji mogući scenarij, dodao je Mole.

Što se dublje ide, to je više vode iznad koja pritišće, piše BBC i dodaje da je nejasno što je točno uzrokovalo imploziju podmornice Titan, no da stručnjaci tvrde da je do implozije moglo doći zbog malog slabljenja njezinog vanjskog trupa.

Tlak koji se osjeća na razini mora je približno 6,6 kilograma tlaka po kvadratnom inču. Taj se tlak povećava za cijelu atmosferu za svakih 10 metara dubine vode. Stoga je na dubini od 3000 metara, što je otprilike tamo gdje je podmornica bila, tlak oko 300 puta veći od tlaka na površini mora, donosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

Olupina Titanica nalazi se u takozvanoj ‘Ponoćnoj zoni‘, na dubini između 3300 i 13100 stopa. Temperatura tamo je otprilike četiri stupnja Celzijeva, a tlak je barem 100 puta veći od tlaka na razini mora. Vrlo je malo životinja koje su se prilagodile takvim uvjetima života i koje mogu preživjeti tako ekstremni pritisak, tamu i hladnoću.

Članovi posade Titana umrli bi odmah u slučaju implozije, rekao je za BBC bivši liječnik američke mornarice Dale Mole i dodao da putnici u tom slučaju ne bi ni znali da postoji neki problem.

Da su ostali zarobljeni u podmornici, to bi bila daleko gora opcija, kaže Mole.

- Možete samo zamisliti kako bi to bilo. Hladno je, ponestaje ti kisika... Ako već ne možemo spasiti njihove živote, ovo je najbolji mogući scenarij, dodao je Mole.
