Crna smrt koja je usmrtila desetke milijuna ljudi sredinom 14. stoljeća potekla je sa sjevera Kirgistana, utvrdili su znanstvenici na osnovi uzoraka DNK žrtava bubonske kuge pokopanih na grobljima na drevnom Putu svile u središnjoj Aziji. Znanstvenici su u srijedu objavili da su analizirali uzorke DNK bakterije Yersinije pestis iz zuba triju žena pokopanih u srednjovjekovnoj zajednici nestorskih kršćana u Čujskoj dolini kod jezera Isik Kul u podnožju planinskoga masiva Tanšana koji su umrli između 1338. i 1339. godine. Najraniji dokumentirani smrtni slučajevi od kuge u drugim područjima zabilježeni su 1346. godine.


Rekonstrukcija genoma patogena pokazala je da taj soj ne samo da je doveo do razvoja soja koji je uzrokovao Crnu smrt koja je pokosila Europu, Aziju i Bliski istok nego i većine sojeva kuge koji postoje i danas. "Naše otkriće da je Crna smrt potekla iz središnje Azije 1330-ih zaključuje stoljetne rasprave", rekao je povjesničar Philip Slavin sa Sveučilišta u Stirlingu u Škotskoj, jedan od autora istraživanja objavljenog u časopisu Nature.


"Postoji niz različitih hipoteza koje sugeriraju da je pandemija možda potekla iz istočne Azije, točnije Kine, iz središnje Azije, iz Indije ili čak blizu područjima u crnomorskoj i kaspijskoj regiji u kojima su dokumentirani prvi slučajevi 1346. godine", rekla je arheogenetičarka i voditeljica istraživanja Maria Spyrou sa Sveučilišta Tübingen u Njemačkoj. "Znamo da je trgovina vjerojatno bila odlučujući čimbenik za širenje kuge u Europu na početku Crne smrti. Razumno je pretpostavljati da su slični procesi utjecali na širenje bolesti iz središnje Azije do Crnog mora između 1338. i 1346. godine", dodala je Spyrou.

Podrijetlo pandemije predmet je žučnih rasprava, što dokazuje rasprava o aktualnoj pandemiji covida-19.
Crna smrt bila je najsmrtonosnija pandemija u povijesti. Usmrtila je oko 50 do 60 posto stanovništva u dijelovima zapadne Europe i 50 posto na Bliskom istoku, ukupno 50 do 60 milijuna ljudi, rekao je Slavin. Nepoznat broj ljudi umro je na Kavkazu, u Iranu i središnjoj Aziji, dodao je. 

"Već u srednjem vijeku vidimo visoku mobilnost i brzo širenje ljudskog patogena", rekao je arheogenetičar i jedan od autora istraživanja Johannes Krause, direktor Instituta Max Planck za ljudsku povijest u Njemačkoj. "Ne bismo smjeli podcjenjivati potencijal patogena da se šire svijetom iz prilično zabačenih lokacija, vjerojatno zbog zoonoze" odnosno prelaska bolesti sa životinja na ljude.  Znanstvenici su analizirali zube, dobar izvor DNK, sedmero ljudi pokopanih na grobljima naselja Burana i Kara-Đigaša, dobivši DNK kuge iz tri uzorka iz Kara-Đigaša.


Bubonska kuga, tada neizlječiva bolest koju se danas liječi antibioticima, izazivala je naticanje limfnih čvorova iz kojih su curili krv i gnoj i zahvaćala je krv i pluća. U Europi se prenosila najviše ugrizima buha sa zaraženih štakora. Pandemija je potekla od divljih glodavaca, najvjerojatnije svizaca, rekao je Slavin. Širenju su pridonijeli glodavci koji su pratili trgovačke karavane, a širila se vjerojatno i ugrizima ljudskih buha i uši. "Otkrili smo da se najbliži živući rođaci soja Yersinije pestis koja je dovela do razvoja Crne smrti još i danas mogu pronaći kod svizaca u toj regiji", rekao je Krause.

Crna smrt koja je usmrtila desetke milijuna ljudi sredinom 14. stoljeća potekla je sa sjevera Kirgistana, utvrdili su znanstvenici na osnovi uzoraka DNK žrtava bubonske kuge pokopanih na grobljima na drevnom Putu svile u središnjoj Aziji. Znanstvenici su u srijedu objavili da su analizirali uzorke DNK bakterije Yersinije pestis iz zuba triju žena pokopanih u srednjovjekovnoj zajednici nestorskih kršćana u Čujskoj dolini kod jezera Isik Kul u podnožju planinskoga masiva Tanšana koji su umrli između 1338. i 1339. godine. Najraniji dokumentirani smrtni slučajevi od kuge u drugim područjima zabilježeni su 1346. godine.


Rekonstrukcija genoma patogena pokazala je da taj soj ne samo da je doveo do razvoja soja koji je uzrokovao Crnu smrt koja je pokosila Europu, Aziju i Bliski istok nego i većine sojeva kuge koji postoje i danas. "Naše otkriće da je Crna smrt potekla iz središnje Azije 1330-ih zaključuje stoljetne rasprave", rekao je povjesničar Philip Slavin sa Sveučilišta u Stirlingu u Škotskoj, jedan od autora istraživanja objavljenog u časopisu Nature.


"Postoji niz različitih hipoteza koje sugeriraju da je pandemija možda potekla iz istočne Azije, točnije Kine, iz središnje Azije, iz Indije ili čak blizu područjima u crnomorskoj i kaspijskoj regiji u kojima su dokumentirani prvi slučajevi 1346. godine", rekla je arheogenetičarka i voditeljica istraživanja Maria Spyrou sa Sveučilišta Tübingen u Njemačkoj. "Znamo da je trgovina vjerojatno bila odlučujući čimbenik za širenje kuge u Europu na početku Crne smrti. Razumno je pretpostavljati da su slični procesi utjecali na širenje bolesti iz središnje Azije do Crnog mora između 1338. i 1346. godine", dodala je Spyrou.

Podrijetlo pandemije predmet je žučnih rasprava, što dokazuje rasprava o aktualnoj pandemiji covida-19.
Crna smrt bila je najsmrtonosnija pandemija u povijesti. Usmrtila je oko 50 do 60 posto stanovništva u dijelovima zapadne Europe i 50 posto na Bliskom istoku, ukupno 50 do 60 milijuna ljudi, rekao je Slavin. Nepoznat broj ljudi umro je na Kavkazu, u Iranu i središnjoj Aziji, dodao je. 

"Već u srednjem vijeku vidimo visoku mobilnost i brzo širenje ljudskog patogena", rekao je arheogenetičar i jedan od autora istraživanja Johannes Krause, direktor Instituta Max Planck za ljudsku povijest u Njemačkoj. "Ne bismo smjeli podcjenjivati potencijal patogena da se šire svijetom iz prilično zabačenih lokacija, vjerojatno zbog zoonoze" odnosno prelaska bolesti sa životinja na ljude.  Znanstvenici su analizirali zube, dobar izvor DNK, sedmero ljudi pokopanih na grobljima naselja Burana i Kara-Đigaša, dobivši DNK kuge iz tri uzorka iz Kara-Đigaša.


Bubonska kuga, tada neizlječiva bolest koju se danas liječi antibioticima, izazivala je naticanje limfnih čvorova iz kojih su curili krv i gnoj i zahvaćala je krv i pluća. U Europi se prenosila najviše ugrizima buha sa zaraženih štakora. Pandemija je potekla od divljih glodavaca, najvjerojatnije svizaca, rekao je Slavin. Širenju su pridonijeli glodavci koji su pratili trgovačke karavane, a širila se vjerojatno i ugrizima ljudskih buha i uši. "Otkrili smo da se najbliži živući rođaci soja Yersinije pestis koja je dovela do razvoja Crne smrti još i danas mogu pronaći kod svizaca u toj regiji", rekao je Krause.

Crna smrt koja je usmrtila desetke milijuna ljudi sredinom 14. stoljeća potekla je sa sjevera Kirgistana, utvrdili su znanstvenici na osnovi uzoraka DNK žrtava bubonske kuge pokopanih na grobljima na drevnom Putu svile u središnjoj Aziji. Znanstvenici su u srijedu objavili da su analizirali uzorke DNK bakterije Yersinije pestis iz zuba triju žena pokopanih u srednjovjekovnoj zajednici nestorskih kršćana u Čujskoj dolini kod jezera Isik Kul u podnožju planinskoga masiva Tanšana koji su umrli između 1338. i 1339. godine. Najraniji dokumentirani smrtni slučajevi od kuge u drugim područjima zabilježeni su 1346. godine.
