Velika rasprava o osjetljivom pitanju eutanazije započela je u Francuskoj nakon što je premijerka Elisabeth Borne u petak otvorila skupštinu građana koja bi se time trebala baviti do kraja ožujka.

Skupština od 185 članova će izraditi preporuku za odluku, koju bi parlament trebao donijeti do kraja iduće godine.

"Gotovo da i nema osjetljivijeg i ozbiljnijeg pitanja od onog povjerenog vama. Mi ne možemo zanemariti položaj onih koji traže aktivnu pomoć na kraju života", rekla je Borne.

Aktivna eutanazija, odnosno davanje sredstva za usmrćivanje ljudima, zabranjena je u Francuskoj. Pasivna eutanazija na način da se ugase uređaji koji osobu održavaju na životu ili neizravna eutanazija, kojom snažni lijekovi ublažavaju bol i ubrzavaju proces umiranja, dopušteni su.

Pitanje eutanazije je kontroverzno u Francuskoj. Nekoliko slučajeva bolesnih ljudi koji su htjeli umrijeti ili čija je smrt bila predmet višegodišnje borbe izazvali su burne rasprave u društvu.

Međutim, diskusije u parlamentu glede promjene pravne osnove nisu urodile plodom proteklih godina.

Potpomognuto samoubojstvo zakonito je u Švicarskoj, Nizozemskoj, Belgiji, Španjolskoj i Luksemburgu, a izvan Europe u Kanadi, Australiji, SAD-a, Kolumbiji i Novom Zelandu.

Velika rasprava o osjetljivom pitanju eutanazije započela je u Francuskoj nakon što je premijerka Elisabeth Borne u petak otvorila skupštinu građana koja bi se time trebala baviti do kraja ožujka.

Skupština od 185 članova će izraditi preporuku za odluku, koju bi parlament trebao donijeti do kraja iduće godine.

"Gotovo da i nema osjetljivijeg i ozbiljnijeg pitanja od onog povjerenog vama. Mi ne možemo zanemariti položaj onih koji traže aktivnu pomoć na kraju života", rekla je Borne.

Aktivna eutanazija, odnosno davanje sredstva za usmrćivanje ljudima, zabranjena je u Francuskoj. Pasivna eutanazija na način da se ugase uređaji koji osobu održavaju na životu ili neizravna eutanazija, kojom snažni lijekovi ublažavaju bol i ubrzavaju proces umiranja, dopušteni su.

Pitanje eutanazije je kontroverzno u Francuskoj. Nekoliko slučajeva bolesnih ljudi koji su htjeli umrijeti ili čija je smrt bila predmet višegodišnje borbe izazvali su burne rasprave u društvu.

Međutim, diskusije u parlamentu glede promjene pravne osnove nisu urodile plodom proteklih godina.

Potpomognuto samoubojstvo zakonito je u Švicarskoj, Nizozemskoj, Belgiji, Španjolskoj i Luksemburgu, a izvan Europe u Kanadi, Australiji, SAD-a, Kolumbiji i Novom Zelandu.

Velika rasprava o osjetljivom pitanju eutanazije započela je u Francuskoj nakon što je premijerka Elisabeth Borne u petak otvorila skupštinu građana koja bi se time trebala baviti do kraja ožujka.

Skupština od 185 članova će izraditi preporuku za odluku, koju bi parlament trebao donijeti do kraja iduće godine.

"Gotovo da i nema osjetljivijeg i ozbiljnijeg pitanja od onog povjerenog vama. Mi ne možemo zanemariti položaj onih koji traže aktivnu pomoć na kraju života", rekla je Borne.

Aktivna eutanazija, odnosno davanje sredstva za usmrćivanje ljudima, zabranjena je u Francuskoj. Pasivna eutanazija na način da se ugase uređaji koji osobu održavaju na životu ili neizravna eutanazija, kojom snažni lijekovi ublažavaju bol i ubrzavaju proces umiranja, dopušteni su.

Pitanje eutanazije je kontroverzno u Francuskoj. Nekoliko slučajeva bolesnih ljudi koji su htjeli umrijeti ili čija je smrt bila predmet višegodišnje borbe izazvali su burne rasprave u društvu.

Međutim, diskusije u parlamentu glede promjene pravne osnove nisu urodile plodom proteklih godina.

Potpomognuto samoubojstvo zakonito je u Švicarskoj, Nizozemskoj, Belgiji, Španjolskoj i Luksemburgu, a izvan Europe u Kanadi, Australiji, SAD-a, Kolumbiji i Novom Zelandu.
