Jedan od kultnih filmova dvijetisućitih dobit će svoju "serijsku" verziju. Kako je objavio Deadline, Martin Scorsese odlučio je još jednom ispričati priču o ratovima u njujorškom podzemlju, ovoga puta u formi TV serije, ali za razliku od filma u kojem su glumili Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz i Daniel Day-Lewis, novo ostvarenje u fokusu će imati druge likove. Kako navodi Deadline, nadolazeća serija s filmom iz 2002. dijeli naslov i književni predložak (istoimeni roman Herberta Asburyja iz 1927.), ali donosi "novo viđenje priče s novim likovima koji nisu prikazani u filmu."

Film Bande New Yorka bio je Scorseseov veliki projekt na kojem je radio punih dvadeset godina prije nego što je konačno počelo snimanje, a produkcija filma bila je među najvećima i najskupljima u dotadašnjoj povijesti studija Miramax. Insajderi tvrde da se Scorsese sukobio s tadašnjim vlasnikom Miramaxa, zloglasnim Harveyjem Weinsteinom oko proračuna i kreativne kontrole, a premda je film trijumfirao na kino blagajnama, ostaje u sjećanju kao jedan od najvećih gubitnika dodjele Oscara - bio je nominiran za deset nagrada, ali nije dobio ništa.

Za novi projekt zaslužan je Brett Leonard koji je za Miramax TV napisao scenarij koji je poslan Scorseseu, nakon čega se redatelj odlučio priključiti produkciji u funkciji izvršnog producenta i redatelja. O radnji se puno ne zna osim šturih najava koje je Deadlineu dao Leonard, no sudeći po radnji Asburyjevog non-fiction romana, materijala za dramatične zaplete ne manjka. Knjiga, koja je na glasu kao neslužbena povijesnica američkog podzemlja, detaljno opisuje sukobe suparničkih bandi u New Yorku od sredine do kasnih 1800-ih, prije nego je dominaciju preuzela talijansko-američka mafija. Scorsese, podsjetimo se, ima iskustva i s tim razdobljem - u vrijeme prohibicije zbiva se radnja HBO-ove drame Boardwalk Empire, čiji je pilot režirao i za obavljen posao dobio Emmyja.

Jedan od kultnih filmova dvijetisućitih dobit će svoju "serijsku" verziju. Kako je objavio Deadline, Martin Scorsese odlučio je još jednom ispričati priču o ratovima u njujorškom podzemlju, ovoga puta u formi TV serije, ali za razliku od filma u kojem su glumili Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz i Daniel Day-Lewis, novo ostvarenje u fokusu će imati druge likove. Kako navodi Deadline, nadolazeća serija s filmom iz 2002. dijeli naslov i književni predložak (istoimeni roman Herberta Asburyja iz 1927.), ali donosi "novo viđenje priče s novim likovima koji nisu prikazani u filmu."

Film Bande New Yorka bio je Scorseseov veliki projekt na kojem je radio punih dvadeset godina prije nego što je konačno počelo snimanje, a produkcija filma bila je među najvećima i najskupljima u dotadašnjoj povijesti studija Miramax. Insajderi tvrde da se Scorsese sukobio s tadašnjim vlasnikom Miramaxa, zloglasnim Harveyjem Weinsteinom oko proračuna i kreativne kontrole, a premda je film trijumfirao na kino blagajnama, ostaje u sjećanju kao jedan od najvećih gubitnika dodjele Oscara - bio je nominiran za deset nagrada, ali nije dobio ništa.

Za novi projekt zaslužan je Brett Leonard koji je za Miramax TV napisao scenarij koji je poslan Scorseseu, nakon čega se redatelj odlučio priključiti produkciji u funkciji izvršnog producenta i redatelja. O radnji se puno ne zna osim šturih najava koje je Deadlineu dao Leonard, no sudeći po radnji Asburyjevog non-fiction romana, materijala za dramatične zaplete ne manjka. Knjiga, koja je na glasu kao neslužbena povijesnica američkog podzemlja, detaljno opisuje sukobe suparničkih bandi u New Yorku od sredine do kasnih 1800-ih, prije nego je dominaciju preuzela talijansko-američka mafija. Scorsese, podsjetimo se, ima iskustva i s tim razdobljem - u vrijeme prohibicije zbiva se radnja HBO-ove drame Boardwalk Empire, čiji je pilot režirao i za obavljen posao dobio Emmyja.

Sprema se remake Bandi New Yorka! Jedan od najvećih filmskih hitova vraća se u formi serije, Scorsese ima ključnu ulogu u projektu, ali neke stvari su drugačije

Jedan od kultnih filmova dvijetisućitih dobit će svoju "serijsku" verziju. Kako je objavio Deadline, Martin Scorsese odlučio je još jednom ispričati priču o ratovima u njujorškom podzemlju, ovoga puta u formi TV serije, ali za razliku od filma u kojem su glumili Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz i Daniel Day-Lewis, novo ostvarenje u fokusu će imati druge likove. Kako navodi Deadline, nadolazeća serija s filmom iz 2002. dijeli naslov i književni predložak (istoimeni roman Herberta Asburyja iz 1927.), ali donosi "novo viđenje priče s novim likovima koji nisu prikazani u filmu."

Film Bande New Yorka bio je Scorseseov veliki projekt na kojem je radio punih dvadeset godina prije nego što je konačno počelo snimanje, a produkcija filma bila je među najvećima i najskupljima u dotadašnjoj povijesti studija Miramax. Insajderi tvrde da se Scorsese sukobio s tadašnjim vlasnikom Miramaxa, zloglasnim Harveyjem Weinsteinom oko proračuna i kreativne kontrole, a premda je film trijumfirao na kino blagajnama, ostaje u sjećanju kao jedan od najvećih gubitnika dodjele Oscara - bio je nominiran za deset nagrada, ali nije dobio ništa.

Za novi projekt zaslužan je Brett Leonard koji je za Miramax TV napisao scenarij koji je poslan Scorseseu, nakon čega se redatelj odlučio priključiti produkciji u funkciji izvršnog producenta i redatelja. O radnji se puno ne zna osim šturih najava koje je Deadlineu dao Leonard, no sudeći po radnji Asburyjevog non-fiction romana, materijala za dramatične zaplete ne manjka. Knjiga, koja je na glasu kao neslužbena povijesnica američkog podzemlja, detaljno opisuje sukobe suparničkih bandi u New Yorku od sredine do kasnih 1800-ih, prije nego je dominaciju preuzela talijansko-američka mafija. Scorsese, podsjetimo se, ima iskustva i s tim razdobljem - u vrijeme prohibicije zbiva se radnja HBO-ove drame Boardwalk Empire, čiji je pilot režirao i za obavljen posao dobio Emmyja.
