Dvijetisućeidvadeseta je stvarno čudna godina. Ne moram vam objašnjavati zašto to tvrdim, no rado ću na popis razloga dodati i ovaj: da mi je netko prije godinu dana rekao da ću pohvaliti Miley Cyrus, besramno bih mu "zavarila u facu". Da Miley... Ona što se ljuljala na kugli...
Međutim, Miley me u posljednje vrijeme oduševljava i, eto, ne sramim se reći. Sve je počelo kad sam, doduše s ponešto zakašnjenja, čula njenu obradu kultne Jolene , izvedene u sklopu takozvanih Backyard Sessions.

Miley je, pjevajući "izakuće", "razvalila" stari hit svoje krsne kume Dolly Parton i privukla pažnju ljubitelja glazbe koji su do tada na njen izričaj prezirno frktali i kolutali očima (ili je tako biloo samo u mom slučaju).
Osim Jolene, Miley je "ubila" i pjesmu koja mi nije bila ni najmanje draga - Laninu Summertime Sadness - učunivši je ljudskijom, toplijom, prisnijom, bolnijom... Ne znam, meni se nekako sad puno više sviđa nego kad je izvodi (po mom mišljenju) pretenciozna "fejkerica" Del Rey.

Nedavno je Miley odradila novu "sesiju" pjesama od "izakuće", a među njima su coveri Pearl Jama i Cardigansa. Čini se da se u zadnje vrijeme baš navukla na covere jer snimila je i obradu Blondiene Heart of Glass - samo malo, ovo morate čuti i vidjeti:

Mislili vi (mi) o Mileynoj predpandemijskoj karijeri što god hoćete, ne može se poreći da se cura pošteno prihvatila posla s obrađivanje pjesama, a da zna što radi, osim nevjerojatne količine pažnje na društvenim mrežama, dokazuje i nedavni Billboardov popis "najboljih covera Miley Cyrus" među kojima je obrada Pink Floydove Wish You Were Here izvedena u travnju na Saturday Night Live.

Priznat ću vam i da sam, od kad su mi se "otvorile uši" po pitanju Cyrus, pogledala jednu sezonu američkog The Voicea (hej, bili smo u karanteni!) u kojoj je Miley bila članica žirija i ostala sam u šoku koliko ta cura, koja mi je uvijek djelovala poprilično odbojno, glupasto i napadno, zna o glazbi i da je, zapravo, sasvim simpatična i inteligentna.

Ne mogu ne pripomenuti da mi se (konačno) stvarno sviđa i kako se Miley sredila: razvučena donja majica iz spota za Wrecking Ball i infantilne šarene krpice, onog jadnog zlostavljanog medu da ne spominjem, pali su (nadam se) u zaborav, a Miley je, reklo bi se, prigrlila izričaj mlade Debbie Harry.

Dvijetisućeidvadeseta je stvarno čudna godina. Ne moram vam objašnjavati zašto to tvrdim, no rado ću na popis razloga dodati i ovaj: da mi je netko prije godinu dana rekao da ću pohvaliti Miley Cyrus, besramno bih mu "zavarila u facu". Da Miley... Ona što se ljuljala na kugli...
Međutim, Miley me u posljednje vrijeme oduševljava i, eto, ne sramim se reći. Sve je počelo kad sam, doduše s ponešto zakašnjenja, čula njenu obradu kultne Jolene , izvedene u sklopu takozvanih Backyard Sessions.

Miley je, pjevajući "izakuće", "razvalila" stari hit svoje krsne kume Dolly Parton i privukla pažnju ljubitelja glazbe koji su do tada na njen izričaj prezirno frktali i kolutali očima (ili je tako biloo samo u mom slučaju).
Osim Jolene, Miley je "ubila" i pjesmu koja mi nije bila ni najmanje draga - Laninu Summertime Sadness - učunivši je ljudskijom, toplijom, prisnijom, bolnijom... Ne znam, meni se nekako sad puno više sviđa nego kad je izvodi (po mom mišljenju) pretenciozna "fejkerica" Del Rey.

Priznat ću vam i da sam, od kad su mi se "otvorile uši" po pitanju Cyrus, pogledala jednu sezonu američkog The Voicea (hej, bili smo u karanteni!) u kojoj je Miley bila članica žirija i ostala sam u šoku koliko ta cura, koja mi je uvijek djelovala poprilično odbojno, glupasto i napadno, zna o glazbi i da je, zapravo, sasvim simpatična i inteligentna.

Ne mogu ne pripomenuti da mi se (konačno) stvarno sviđa i kako se Miley sredila: razvučena donja majica iz spota za Wrecking Ball i infantilne šarene krpice, onog jadnog zlostavljanog medu da ne spominjem, pali su (nadam se) u zaborav, a Miley je, reklo bi se, prigrlila izričaj mlade Debbie Harry.
